Really enjoy this theater. Very clean and even when crowded lines move along. I came in to catch the new Mario movie with my family on 4dx and loved our experience. Just wish the bathrooms were a bit cleaner.

This is a cool location and I have been here a lot of times over the years. Personally, I do prefer it compared to the AMC across the street. Usually alot of the movies that I want to see are playing here. Concessions are pretty easy to get to when you need a popcorn, soda or hot dog or all three at one time. Seems like a lot of construction going on at random times but I guess the upkeep of the theater just has more effort than some other places that still look super old. Usually what I love about Regal other than the popcorn and Crown Club membership are the seats. It is usually a nice distance between you and the next person especially compared to other theaters. They have the 4DX here and the RPX theater as well which gives you a more premium experience. Shoutout to the workers here, they are usually pretty cool and shout out to Regal Unlimited program, you can see alot of movies basic just in a month since it is unlimited like you can even see 2 or 3 movies in one day.

The pleather or whatever the heck this is has seen better days

I was at the premiere of Good Boy here, the horror movie shown from the dog's perspective. The movie was unique and incredible but this review is not a review about the movie, but it does just go to show that this theatre screens movies you cannot find elsewhere, which does make me rate this theatre overall quite favorably. At the time I could not find a showing of Good Boy anywhere else in any other city I was going to be in that week so I left the Rangers/Devils game early for this premiere. Despite spending a lot of time in Midtown over the years for work and work-adjacent activities, I had never been inside this theatre before Good Boy finally delivered me. This Regal is clean and once you get in from Times Square is a world removed from just out on the street. It is actually quiet and calm, and does not feel like you are anywhere near Times Square. The one demerit this locations receives is that the fabric on the chairs has started to go so they need some refurbishments. Twenty minutes before I walked in to the Regal I was at MSG as a Hughes fan so I was dressed expecting to have beer thrown at me or near me, but I was speedwalking (the new term is walkmaxxing, at least in Disney World) so I would dry off on the way, but I hadn't anticipated pieces of pleather (or whatever this material was) sticking to my posterior. Unique movie selections, definitely worth visiting if you are trying to catch a movie that is hard to find elsewhere.

Went to a screening for the new Jurassic World movie but had the worst experience waiting in line to get my tickets. The regal staff moved people to wait outside while people were later lining up inside causing chaos and unfairness for people that got there first. They also couldnt line people up after they noticed the big crowd blocking the entrance to the theather. It was so crowded my husband kept being told to make room but having nowhere to go seemed like a pointless thing to say. Once i was able to get us i to the theather we were led to the screening in their 4DX room! The place was clean and the seats were a little smaller than other rooms. Throughout the movie the movie chairs and the water spray made it feel like a small rollercoaster ride almost causing me to slide off at points but so fun! After the movie we went to purchase their Drips drink, cotton candy and dragon fruit flavors. The staff member messed up one of the drinks by making the pepsi drip flavor which they fixed and the cotton candy drip was missing the popping bubbles. Overall the drinks where still great. We also got the jurassic park bucket which at first they thought they ran out but where able to find us one which was amazing as it is an amazing bucket.

How to Train Your Dragon Premier. It's see if 4XD is all its cracked up to be.

It was not my first time at this Regal but first time at the 4DX theater. I think this was the perfect movie to test out this experience. How To Train Your Dragon has a very active setting. Now I think I'm already hooked . The feeling of being in the movie itself is heightened. Movement, sound, scents, water mist. Wow. Its a lot of shaking and undulating like a roller-coaster depending on the movie . My hubby saw Final Destination and said it was less movement but still a heightened experience. If there's fires you smell smoke , in the forest you smell grassy notes. Its subtle but noticeable and it doesn't linger when the scene ends. I'd definitely recommend if you are into this type of setting. Its not for those with motion sickness for sure. Food like popcorn can spill . This was a private screening we attended and we were allowed/encouraged to make a video of our experience in a short preview before the movie actually started. That was fun . Once that part was over we obviously had to put phones away for the HTTYD part. I'll try to include video clip with my photos ,be warned I scream and giggle a lot. The theater was filled with kids , some will enjoy this experience, but I would be cautious with anyone with sensory issues. Its intense and sounds are "felt". Theater cleanliness was very good. I do think they should have more bathrooms stalls, the line was a bit ridiculous for the capacity expected at a showing.

Water setting.

Regal Times Square 4DX - A Thrilling Experience! Caught Mission: Impossible in 4DX and it definitely lived up to the hype. The motion seats, wind blasts, and strobe effects made it feel like I was right there with Ethan Hunt on every chase and cliffhanger moment. The 4DX effects were intense, especially during the action scenes -- almost like a theme park ride. The theater itself was clean, the staff was helpful, and it was easy to get in and out even with the Times Square crowds. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the effects can be a bit much during dialogue-heavy scenes, and the seats could be slightly more comfortable. Still, if you want an immersive, adrenaline-pumping movie night -- this is the spot. Definitely worth it for a blockbuster like Mission: Impossible.

I came here for an early screening of Wicked, and the whole experience felt like stepping into the movie magic before it even started. The theater was clean, the staff was efficient, and the seats were surprisingly comfortable, especially for a packed screening. The energy in the room made everything feel bigger, brighter, better. And if you love movies, you know the atmosphere can make or break the experience. Regal definitely helped make mine. Smooth entry, clear signage, and great sound made it feel like more than just a screening. I'd definitely return for another release. And the design of the room itself was super cool !

I went on the 14th of February (Happy Valentine's). The staff were professional and courteous. The concessions, the screening room, the bathrooms were clean. The seats were comfortable. I liked the tray with the cup holder. The concessions were fresh and tasty. I reviewed this theater a few months ago when I was here and it still is a go to place to catch a movie. The only thing is I was in a different auditorium (auditorium three) this time compared to last time. If you're in auditorium three, I recommend the D section; d6 or d7. You'll be right in the center. Good seats. Enjoy Yelpers!

Decent theater in the middle of Time Square. I would AVOID the area but this was close to where we were staying and had a showtime that matched. We were in NYC but wanted to watch a movie, so what do you do. You can tell it's an older theater, but it still has reclining seats, and it's connected to the Westin Hotel. Overall a decent experience, this theater was the only place there were no crowds. The sound quality was really bad - the movie was so quiet, but otherwise not a bad option. We were watching Fall Guy and it's an action movie and you for sure want a lot of sound. But lots of previews beforehand. TIP: There's a Five and Below and you can get much cheaper snacks here. Also Regal is a Pepsi theater. We did get popcorn at the theater.

Ask the Community - Regal Times Square

What are the best seats in the 4DX theater (rows & seat #s) Is row H better than row E assuming middle seats?

usually Row E and up is good and somewhere in the middle of the aisle. But overall, all the seats are good if you are looking for good viewing locations.

Meeby you have movie subtitule In Spanish?

No. Movie theaters in America typically dont have subtitles in any other languages; only subtitles in English when the movie is in a foreign language

Will be open on Christmas day?

YES!!!

It was built by the French distributor Pathé as a showcase for the film industry and opened its doors at 4 West 58th Street on September 13, 1948. Located across the street from the iconic Plaza Hotel, north, and Bergdorf Goodman, south, it is Manhattan's only remaining single-screen cinema, and largest movie theater with 535 seats. The elegant theater, with its distinctive Arte Moderne style became a première cinema venue for the best films from around the world. Over time many hits such as: Zefirelli's 'Romeo and Juliet' 1968 (Italy), 'A Room With a View' 1985 by James Ivory (UK) , et le film 'Belle de Jour' 1967 (France) directed by Luis Buñuel, were introduced to the United States with an introductory theatrical run at our beloved Paris. Currently, the streaming platform, Netflix operates the cinema giving new life to the ultimate landmark of New York's multi-cultural movie theatre attendees. As Netflix's New York flagship theater, the Paris is the home to exclusive theatrical engagements, premières, special events, retrospectives, filmmaker & actors live appearances, while offering a wide range of unique screenings and noteworthy Q&A discussions. (Click on my Substack for more Baumbach thoughts including my brief interaction with the auteur, as awkward as many of his finest scenes). You may have heard about the successful company that helped destroy movie theaters by pivoting to "content" meant to promote purchases of high-end TVs and nice couches. (Related, I went to Best Buy and didn't recognize anything. Is that a thermostat? A stereo? A smart garden hose?) This company was so successful, that after Knives Out was heralded as single-handedly reviving non-Marvel film, its sequel was withheld from the theaters it allegedly saved. (BTW, if you were planning to tell me to watch the amazing 53-part Quibi streaming series about The Golden Age Of Hollywood, don't bother). But after Netflix helped destroy theaters, it did a nice thing. It's one of those ironic moments like the purse-snatcher scene in Jay Kelly. It signed a lease that helped the Paris avoid the fate of the Ziegfeld and a million others, in a world where the AMC theaters that destroyed all the independents have been suffering themselves. So, while it was vile that Netflix thought Roma should be seen on TVs, it was nice of them to show it at the Paris, especially for the unusually vibrant sound. I saw Train Dreams Saturday. I suppose, like the kid in Squid and The Whale, I am a philistine. I wish I could praise its morose existentialism but I'm not quite on board. However, I did appreciate the majesty of the northwestern fires and falling trees in this venue. There was no assigned seating; not sure if this is just temporary, but if they keep that policy I might be obliged to overlook Netflix's evil and upgrade to 5 stars.

Thank you to my son! First off, this location is massive and impressively well kept. From the moment you walk in, there's a kind of buzz that makes it feel like more than just a movie theater, wow it feels like an exciting experience. The lobby is spacious and clean, with plenty of kiosks to keep lines moving quickly, even when it's busy. The staff were friendly and efficient, which made everything easy from the start. We watched the film in one of their premium auditoriums, and that's where AMC Lincoln Square really stands out. The screen was enormous, the sound system was crisp and immersive, and the seating was extremely comfortable with plenty of leg room and great sightlines all around. It's the kind of setup that lets you fully sink into the movie without distractions. As for Michael, it felt less like a warts and all documentary and more like a musical celebration of an icon. The film leans into the legacy and artistry, leaving audiences feeling satisfied and entertained, though it may leave those looking for a deeper or more critical exploration of the tougher parts of the story wanting more. Still, seeing it in such a high quality theater really elevated the experience and played to the film's strengths. And I have to mention the snacks that I had which was the pretzel which was enormous and surprisingly delicious! Honestly, it was so big I couldn't even finish it (which never happens), but it was a perfect movie treat and definitely worth trying. What made the night most memorable, though, was sharing it with my son and the others, we had a great time. Between the energy of the theater and the spectacle of the film, it felt like more than just a movie, it was a great night out together. Overall, AMC Lincoln Square delivers comfort, quality, and a true big screen experience. I'll absolutely be coming back.

We bought concessions and settled into our seats but noticed it was quite warm. The movie had just started so we assumed it would get cooler soon, but it never did, making for a hot, uncomfortable viewing experience. Mind you, the A/C was working everywhere else: the lobby, hallways, bathrooms. You'd really have no idea the A/C didn't work in the theatres until you walked in and were seated. When we left the theatre we heard everyone in the hallways saying the same thing, how hot the theatres were. That's how so we knew it wasn't just our theatre. We went downstairs to find an employee and spoke to the staff member who scanned the tickets for entry. Get this: He told us it's a known issue that they've had for A MONTH. They knew but there's no signs when you enter the building so we could make an informed decision before buying tickets. We went all the way downstairs to the lobby and found someone named Michael who said he was the "manager." When we told him about the hot theatres he was unconscionably rude and dismissive. He said "You watched the movie so we won't give you a refund." He actually faulted us for our experience, said we should have left the theatre, searched for staff or come down the long escalators 4-5 floors to find him and inform him about an issue he is already WELL AWARE OF. Due to most of us buying tickets online or at the kiosks in the lobby, I think management has lost all customer facing sensibilities. This manager was so unconcerned we'd had a lousy viewing experience; his response was flippant and unacceptable. We didn't even want a refund (tickets were a gift), but it would have been acceptable to get a rain check or something so we could hopefully view the film again in better comfort when the A/C is fixed. We used to avoid this theatre like the plague. It was dirty, rundown, broken seats and a horrifyingly persistent bed bug problem. Then they renovated and it was beautiful, became our favourite theatre to visit. When there are known service issues like hot theatres/NO A/C there should be signs placed in the lobby so you can make an informed decision before buying tickets or to let you know you can ask for a refund if you bought tickets online. Even better, they should update their website and app with ongoing service issues.
