Overall the service is rushed. My nails are thick and lumpy. When I was drying my nails under the light there were bubbles the tech fixed some but when I pointed out the others she first refused but then did it with an attitude. I wanted short almond and the polish is so uneven in thickness it's just not worth the money I paid. At the beginning or end of the service I always ask the nail tech's name so that I can thank them. When I asked the lady very politely she just pointed at the number on her table. Mind you I'm an extremely non confrontational person but the attitude was just not it. If I could give this nail salon 0 stars I would. Got a regular shellac manicure done and it took less than 30 minutes. I have never been to a salon where it takes such little time to do nails. They dont care about quality, they want to get as many people as they can in and make money. I've always gotten shellac manicures, and my nails have never chipped before the 3 week period. I'm 2 days in and all of my polish is peeling off. It was the cheapest place I've ever been to, and I definitely got what I paid for. But for 30$ I'd expect my shellac polish to stay on longer than regular polish. If you want something cheap that lasts maybe a day this is the place for you. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon looking for a shellac removal and a new shellac with manicure and was taken in right away with no appointment. The salon itself is very busy and can feel a bit congested if there are alot of people in the salon at once. It also smells like nail polish even though they do their best to ventilate the room so if you're not a huge fan of that smell, this may not be the place for you. I had my shellac removed and the whole process was rather quick. After soaking my nails with acetone remover, they used the electric grinder to remove my polish. This process took about 10 minutes so it wasn't too bad. I've been to salons where they would soak my nails in tin foil and manually remove the polish but I much rather prefer the grinder method. I'm a huge fan of natural looking nails so I chose a very transparent clear/pink as my colour. The cost came up to 33$ plus tax so it wasn't too pricey for what I got. I would probably come back out of convenience but overall I'd give it a 4/5. (1 star docked for the smell of the salon). read more

This genuinely used to be my go-to favourite salon. I swore by them to everyone who asked me. But now I can't bring myself to go there anymore. I had a nail tech who was absolutely astonishing. She made sure all her clients nails were done properly, beautifully and patiently. Even my mom loved her when she did her feet! I tried booking my regular appointments with her and they kept saying she was on vacation... months passed and they wouldn't give me a straight answer to were she had gone to and if she was coming back. I tried 2 other nail techs there (told them I wanted their best workers) as I'm very picky with my nails. Both lady's did them and although they looked beautiful, not even 2-3 days later both times when I was showering I noticed my nails were lifting and my hair was getting caught in them. After a week they started breaking. And at a week and a half I just tore them off cause of how bad they looked at that point. Wouldn't recommend this place at all anymore. I'm not especially girly - I don't wear makeup very often, I don't keep up on the latest fashion trends. But, I do enjoy getting pampered at the spa! My sister and I were given Paris Nails (not "Nails Paris") gift certificates for spa manicures and pedicures at Christmastime, so we recently popped out to Bramalea City Centre to have some sisterly grooming time together. We have a hard time getting together very often, clearly. Note: For anyone who has been to Paris Nails at Bramalea City Centre in the past: the location has moved. It is no longer right beside Shopper's Drug Mart, it's now on the other end of the mall, right beside the entrance beside Sears. The previous location was pretty chemically-smelling, which I'm sure was not pleasant for the people eating at the little cafe across the hall. Yuck. We decided to be brave and not make an appointment - how busy could the place be at 1:00 on a Friday afternoon? Turns out, fairly busy! We did get in right away, but we were just ahead of the rush, it seems, as the place filled up soon after we arrived. It's not a very large place, but I'd say there were probably 6 pedicure chairs and about the same for manicure tables. We were given our mani/pedis in the same chair - we didn't have to get up after our pedicures to move to the manicure table. This may or may not have been a good thing, see below. The good: the people were very nice, and seemed pretty accommodating, doing their best to get everyone in, and giving estimates on wait time for those who couldn't get in right away. It also seemed like there were quite a few regulars, calling the manager (?) by name and catching up with the estheticians. The bad: the place is still stinky, I guess a place that does acrylics will never smell good. Also, my manicurist did pretty little flowers on my big toenails, and while I gave her the go-ahead to have it done, I didn't realize it would cost me $5 more. That's probably my naiveté, but I would sort of expect that they'd say "by the way, it'll cost you extra". I'm not the type to freak out about it, especially since the rest of my mani/pedi cost was paid for by gift cert, but some other people are. The ugly: my fingernails. The woman doing my nails had been there forever, and yet she managed to paint the skin around my nails in some places, and miss bits of nail in others. The polish job didn't even last until the end of the weekend before it had already started to chip off. My sister's nails were the same. Overall, it's not terrible, the price is fairly reasonable, but I don't think I'm going to go back, considering the job that was done on my fingernails. read more

I went to get my nails done (shellac) for my bridal shower, and I was on my break from work. They did a horrible job!, I told the lady I was not happy with it, and she automatically said "its not my fault" and proceeded to add silver glitter on top of some pink nails I never asked for. Absolutely horrible service. My mother went to get a pedicure done and was treated disrespectfully by the nail technicians who gave her attitude by the way they spoke with her and treated her. Actions such as rolling their eyes, speaking to each other in their language, speaking harshly towards my mom had my mom leaving the salon in near tears. My mother went into the salon right after having a procedure done to her eyes and her eyes were dilated. She told the staff this prior to beginning and chose a nail colour in which they told her wouldn't look good as it was clear. My mother asked for help changing the colour (she wanted a pink shade) and chose a colour that the techs told her was orange and rudely laughed at her. My mother reminded them that she had told them she couldn't see clearly but they made her feel horrible. All I can say is WOW. My mom is the sweetest person ever, and for her to feel mistreated and disrespected I felt inclined to warn everyone out there that this place does not deserve any stars or business. This is the absolute worst nail salon I have ever been to, I will not be returning. I went in for acrylic nails, and a pedicure with 3 of my girlfriends. When I was getting my acrylic nails put on the lady would not do the shape as I requested and then proceeded to tell me it was too late she had already cut them. To make matters worse when she was cutting the acrylic nails she almost took a chunk of skin off my finger in the process. I had brought in my own nail polish and after she applied the colour tried to claim my nail polish as her own and argued with me when I asked her to return it to me. While I waiting for my nails to dry the man came and checked them, and assured me that they were dry- they were not I ruined my 200$ pair of sunglasses when the nail polish transferred onto them as I reached into my purse. I asked them to redo my nails that were ruined, and they did... But once again they were not completely dry, and they tried to make me pay for the touch up job. This was a horrible experience, and in all honesty it was cheaper to go to millennium nails where I got acrylic nails, a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed for 65$... At Paris nails I paid 75$ for just the acrylic nails, and pedicure. Please for the love of god avoid this place at all costs!!! It's not worth a penny. read more

I used to be a regular here, as they were usually very good with accepting walk ins and getting your nails done quick. However the last few visits have been nightmares. The last time I went was the last straw. I went around 730 and they were busy, soo the manager told me to come back in an hour. (This means he sets an appointment for me at 830, yet they close at 9) I show up a 820 and wasn't served for 20 minutes. The lady (I'm sorry I cannot remember her name) that helped me started off by being very rude because I came in late and she voiced her disapproval numerous times. I was looking for a simple fill, and I told her that I'm very hard on my nails because of my job. To save time she only put acrylic on the bottom of my nails. I questioned what she was doing as I always have them cover my nails completely. She said this was the normal procedure and if I wanted her to fully cover my nails she would charge me for a full set. Right away I was upset and told her to just finish my nails. The job she did on my nails was horrendous, the thumb was crooked and all my nails looked old and like they needed to be done. I asked the manager about my nails and he agreed with me yet did nothing to help my situation. The polish came off within 2 days and the nails themselves came off within a week since she did not do them correctly. Worst nail experience and I will never be back there. I was just at the store today!! I went to Paris nails because it is the closest nail salon near me. My birthday is tomorrow which is A labour day they said they'd be closed. Anyway I did my nails there is was okay I loved the look but I told the person that there was a smudge on my nail she said don't worry bout it O.o then I said okay I got charged 70 something dollars for my toes and nails, I stepped out the nail salon went home I decide to go on my phone, why did my nail break turning on my phone? Not great service, my friend and I went in for acrylics so she sat us down and said 15 minutes so we waited 15 minutes she calls my friend up and she does her first and acrylics take about 40 to 50 minutes to do for that hole time I am sitting there for 50 min And so my friend finishes and she has to go dry cuz we got regular nail polish. So a lady calls me over I sit down and I pick a colour and she disappears for 15 minutes so she comes back she does my nails meanwhile my friends hands have been drying for 50 minutes , so the girl is done doing my nails I go over to the drying station where I have room spend 30 minutes and my friend notices that there is nail glue all over her hand and that one of her nails is smudged and she didnt touch anything so she asked the girl if could fix it and she got the nail polish and just went over the bump maltiple times and it made it worse but we had to sit there another 10 minutes so we went up to pay and she asked for a discount bc of the nail and he grabbed her hand and got a file and filed the bump down and put a top coat on it and so we had to go back again and sit for another 10minutes. I am writing a review on behalf of my mother who visited this nail salon for a pedicure, and ended contracting a bacterial infection on her left foot. My mom visited this salon for a pedicure, and the lady who was doing the pedicure had to remove and clean an ingrown nail on her large toe. Two days after the pedicure, my mom's toe began to swell and she was in a lot of pain. By the third day she was having fevers, and the swelling moved up her foot. She was unable to walk or put any pressure on her left foot. There was pus coming out of the toe, and my mom was throwing up. My mom ended up having to miss work, and visited the urgent care centre. The doctor said she had contracted a bacterial infection. My mom decided to call Paris Nails to inform the manager, just so they could do an extra cleaning on the pedicure tubs. The lady who picked up the phone, refused to give the phone to the manager, and would reply with "do you have an appointment". Each time, my mom would say "no, I would just like to speak to a manager". The lady on the phone was incredibly rude, and kept repeating herself. Eventually my mother told her the reason why she was calling, and described the situation with her foot. The lady on the phone told her to speak to a manager tomorrow, and hung up abruptly. My mom went into Paris Nails the following day to speak to a manager. There was a gentlemen who spoke to her, and asked my mom to point out to him which worker did her pedicure that day. My mom pointed to the individual, but told him that it wasn't her fault, that the equipment needed to be cleaned. The worker looked at my mother and rudely said "Ive never seen her before". The gentlemen, who I presume is the manager, told my mom that they use bleach to clean the tubs, and nothing is wrong with the tubs. My mom unwrapped her bandage to show him her foot, but he brushed her off and left. My mom lost two days of work, is on antibiotics for a week, and was sick for several days. It angers me that as a business she was brushed off so quickly, and was not taken seriously. In general, there is always a risk of contracting a bacteria from the pedicure equipment with or without an open wound. It is vital that a company is aware of this, and takes the necessary measures to protect its clients. read more
