There is a campground/RV park in behind the bar and General Store. Very clean and well maintained. I've stayed there a couple of nights in the past. I've been told that on Tuesday's they have an amazing steak dinner. I've never been there for that, but I'm looking forward very much to trying it soon. The owner Mary was very accommodating to our family and always very warm and welcoming when we stopped in the store. All the campers were the same. We were tent camping but Mary let us set up in front of a rental camper so we could use the electric to charge to boat and she was even gave us access to the camper to use the restroom and wash our dishes. She ever notified us that a neighboring camper was putting their camper up for sale and was just what we were looking for. We are now considering buying the camper and having a place up there of our own.

We were also able to play bingo and they had multiple other events during the day. This KOA has everything planned out so it's one of the better KOA's. It is a smaller campground and you are very close together but everyone was respectful and followed the quite hours. Being close made walking everywhere easy instead of everyone having a golf cart which can be annoying at times. The staff was so helpful when our campsite didn't have a picnic table, we let them know and they had one brought over with in 15 minutes of being there. Very accommodating! Would recommend coming here and will be coming again!

I needed to use the restroom and I saw the sign for the Paris Landing State Park so we stopped. I am so glad we did. This park is LOVELY!!!!! The waters edge is gorgeous....and there is a swimming beach. Tons of picnic areas with grills and lots of fishing spots...and tons of people fishing. I need to get my fishing license and so does Tony. I want to go back here to swim and picnic this summer once my daughter arrives. There is NO charge..it is all FREE to enjoy!! SO WHY AREN'T YOU???? get out there...take pictures and leave reviews...enjoy the state parks and let me know what you think.. I love to share and I love to see what others are enjoying

Our dogs had a drainage pit as a place to lay and relax after an 11 hour drive. The office people are very rude as well as the r permanent residents. Sites are SMALL. Not made for a 42 foot 5th wheel. The place was a shitshack, low wires that broke our tv antenna snapped off. No one came to see what happened or the owners to make amends with us. We left a day early could wait to get out of there. The bathrooms were locked with a sign from an IRENE MYERS stating "closed because of shitty people". Not a very nice place. Then accused us of putting ruts in peoples yards. Maybe if the place was set up correctly and made enough room things would be better. And make sure you have the right campers. WE WON'T BE BACK THE SCUMMY PEOPLE CAN HAVE THE CAMPGROUND.

CAMPERS BEWARE!!!!!! There is not an option for no stars. My wife booked two spots at this…read morecampground off of the website. Looked good and allegedly supports veterans and emergency personnel so we decided to give it a shot. For the record I am a Veteran. Upon arrival I realized that things were not as advertised as the campground had two Huge For Sale signs on the property. I pulled to the end and a nice lady told me they were expecting me and showed me a back in site. I was expecting a pull though but backing is not an issue. Instead of the nice sites we saw on the website it was a very tight back in spot but did have full hook ups so I went against my gut feeling and backed in. Our spot worked out ok but the other spot which we were told was under construction was just a load of gravel knocked down and not packed. The power plug was on a building about 40' behind the spot and the water had to come from the camper spot next door and used a splitter so they shared the hydrant. Their trailer sunk about two blocks deep just backing in. The website shows $35 per night so we expected $150 at most for both spots plus any Veterans discount. The owner appears to be down on his luck so we stayed. Shouldn't have. He charged us $300 and had the audacity to say it was a holiday and/or special event price. He stated there was a fishing tournament in town. It is Paris Landing area so my guess there is alway a tournament going on. If we were made aware of this before hand we would have stayed elsewhere. I gave him a chance to make things right but to this point Big Jim seems to not be a very straight shooter. Look at his pix posted and then review my Google earth pix below. There are now more sheds on this small piece of property. Apparently they are not plumbed as the tenants were making runs for the bathroom shed. The bathroom shed (literally) is where they wash their dishes and themselves. Don't be deceived by the website or Big Jim's smooth talking. Do Not Make the Same Mistake We Did as Big Jim will get to you. It's a shame as after we find a place we like and that takes care of us there is a huge group that camps together so could have been much more lucrative for Big Jim had he not messed us over. Truth matters and Honesty wins in the end.

The State park is well taken care of however the areas are all separated and must be driven…read morebetween. Lakefront camping spots have no electric or water access. Bath house near lakefront camping has bathrooms but no shower. The lake front camping spots are gravel and are going to be rough on your tarp/tent/airmattress/feet. Happy Hollow looks fantastic and I definitely would've loved to stay there. They have hook-ups, bathrooms, and showers. There is no longer a playground at happy hallow like it shows on the map and lists on the website. We went to Eva Beach recreation area and there is a playground there but it's about a 12 minute drive from the campgrounds. The recreation area had a sandy beach, but a foul smell and the water was very dirty. There are 2 large factories that make a humming noise that can be heard from the campgrounds and constantly seeing the large plumes of smoke from them on both sides of the lake ruins the nature side of things. The cabins were nice. Lakefront camping spots are not kid friendly - lake on one side and a road that people fly down on the other. I personally wouldn't recommend this park especially for families but if you have to stay here then stay at happy hollow.
