I have been going to Cary Medical Group for about five years and get excellent care. The office…read morestaff are friendly and helpful and I see Ms. Rebecca Boettcher, NA for my Primary Care and have always been very satisfied with excellent care. The Gastroenterology office associated with Raleigh Medical Group has been very disappointing, and I have chosen to go elsewhere for my gastric problems. I do not recommend Raleigh Medical Group Gastroenterology. Before my MRI revealed details of my condition I was started on the strongest dose of a powerful and massively expensive drug and suffered a lot of pain because the dose was far too high. (Most drugs should be titrated.) No one discussed the MRI results with me or that I have pancreatic cysts and need a special diet. I was sent a generic diet plan that was not geared to me specific illness. I will not go to that office again.

The office staff is rude, always changing, plus they don't care and it shows. No one ever answers the phone, EVER! I called 3 times and was on hold for over 20 minutes each time. So then I was forced to go there b/c I couldn't get a hold of my doctor!! So when I get there I see 3 receptionist talking, not working and NOT answering the phones that were RINGING! There were only 2 people waiting in the lobby too. So I have to drive up to my dr office for medical attention because theyre too lazy and don't care to work! I then tell the receptionist my experience only to be told they basically know it's happening and nothing they can do...and apparently don't care bc that phone kept ringing while I was there and the two other receptionist didn't answer it. The "technology" used is from the 1990's. Why not just use mychart, I mean all the legit medical hospitals do. Maybe you wouldn't get me mixed up with another patient like last time!! Instead they build this horrible difficult to use platform that barely works! And I swear my doctor must have a new nurse every time I'm there. At a certain age you need to have faith in your Doctor and their office, like they will answer the phone, but unfortunately I have zero in this place and won't risk my life over it.

Dr. Goli is my doctor…read more I've been going to him since 2007. He is the only doctor at the practice now, and his current staff is very friendly and efficient. I can usually get an appointment the day I call, and I rarely have to wait once I get there. I have specialists for a chronic condition, and he helps me coordinate everything and know what questions to ask. He even got me in to see one of them within two days (it usually takes me two months). A few friends and colleagues see him, on my recommendation, and everyone likes him. Most importantly, he listens.

Waiting room a bit crampy. Since they do onsite lab draws (another plus), you might feel like a canned sardine if you have an early morning appt as lab patients and doctor visit patients share the same waiting area. Fortunately the elevator lobby just outside the office has extra seats. Dr. Goli has excellent bedside manner. His best attribute? HE LISTENS!! He didn't make us feel rushed, taking his time with us. Unfortunately this quality has become more and more diminished in medicine nowadays. He's very easy to talk to, even sharing some personal stories in the course of conversation, exposing his modesty. No superiority complexes here. He uses a team approach with the patient when it comes to medical management. He explained things in a way my dad - who is a senior - could understand. It takes time to learn if someone is a really GOOD medical provider. So far with these 2 appointments, though, Dr. Goli has earned our trust. I would recommend him.

I went for HRT. I had an in-depth battery of tests to determine a baseline for my health. They were…read moregood at reviewing all the details of my bloodwork. Spent an entire hour with me, but the tests cost thousands of dollars and that does not include ongoing care. I paid $600 per quarter plus $150 for 90 days of compounded hormones for a year. First they wanted to cut a small slot to insert a pellet in my lower back, but I said no. We did cream roll on instead. I felt better on hormones, but to monitor them, had to take a spit test via snail mail only to discover they didn't have any enough of a sample. Then they wanted me to pay an extra $150 for bloodwork each time since the spit test didn't work. Felt like nickel and diming. They do not take insurance. When I had a side effect from the hormones they told me I needed to sign up for primary care in order for them to help me. Just doesn't make sense for them to receive so much money and then not help a patient in need. If you're someone with lots of different health issues, it might be good to get care from them, because they can review all the data together. They still refer you to specialists, which is a separate process with separate fees. An endocrinologist can prescribe and monitor hormone treatment. It's not rocket science. It wasn't a miracle drug. My skin still ages, elasticity declines, there is a risk of cancer if you don't take the right combo and don't start early enough, but mentally it's been good. Good doctors are out there. Most people don't need a concierge. After having one, I must say I'm not healthier, but it's nice to get more attention.

Your satisfaction depends on whether you can afford to see them. Would I recommend them? Yes. Is it…read moreworth paying thousands per year to see them? I'm not sure. I go for HRT therapy, and I see the doc once every 3 months for an hour. Bloodwork is done each time, so we talk about dosage. Combos are done by compounding Rx. So it's 600 for a hr of doc time/bloodwork, plus cost of hormones. You can contact doc via portal and they will respond, which is nice, but if you have no issues, you may not need to go here. If you're a basket case, you'll get your money's worth. If I have a primary care issue, they'll tell me to sign up for that, which costs more. Why they don't have full-care for all issues is beyond me. I can only afford one, and I need hormones, so that's what I get. I still need a primary care provider for everything else. Make sure you find out which days docs are at your preferred office. You can get an in-depth full-health analysis for 2k, and it was worth it to find out I was healthy.

I have been a patient of Dr Patel's for over 15 years and I have to agree the office charges are also becoming an issue!! If Dr Patel & Dr "J" will do some self evaluations they could easily access that the front desk staff is very rude!! One of them more than the other (from personal experience, the lady making spots is the RUDEST of the RUDE ! After all these years - It may be time for a change, unfortunately ! I love Dr Patel and his nurses are wonderful - but you are greeted and leave after having to encounter the rudeness ! It's time for Dr "P" & Dr "J" to self evaluate the office staff! Maybe they need some recognition, training, motivation or something simple. Clients are only victims of this treatment and I understand I don't know 100% of what they encounter on a daily basis - but politeness is cheap! Practice happiness in the workplace - it will make your day Updated- Now don't get me wrong the Dr's and buses are Great!! Front desk are Great too - and they continue to improve (like I said previously - 1 is nicest person you will ever meet - other person is just a different personality)... I think they are very appreciative and in general a Super Office!!!!
