My veins are small and deep, and I can't tell you how many times I've left a blood draw and had bruises on the insides of both elbows for days. When Dr. Inaam and Maria didn't immediately find a good vein, they didn't poke and poke. They didn't even poke once! They gave me two bottle of water to drink to see whether hydration would help. When it didn't, they sent me to LabCorp where someone who draws blood all day every day quickly tapped a vein and got the blood necessary for my tests. Sue Horlick, one of the PA's in the office, told my friend that she could give her epinephrine shot but would then need to call an ambulance or I could take my friend the the ER, which was less than a mile from this office. We elected to just go to the ER. My friend was emotional and scared because the cause of the reaction was unknow. As we were leaving Sue Horlick said, "Don't go to Chick-Fil-A first, go right to the ER. WHAT?? Why would you say something so unprofessional to someone who is looking for help.
