I went here for alterations on my wedding dress. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pari was kind and pleasant to work with[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but unfortunately I ended up having to take the dress to another tailor just three days before my wedding to fix the work. There were several alterations done--adding a bustle, shortening the train and sleeves, and more. I largely trusted her judgment based on the reviews. She also suggested adding a zipper on the side to make it easier to get in and out of the dress, which I agreed to. The total quoted cost was $600. At my fitting, I immediately noticed significant rippling along the side where the zipper was added. It was also an extremely long and visible zipper. Since the dress was fitted, the rippling was especially noticeable. I pointed it out and asked for it to be corrected, and she said she would fix it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She also said "it's like that because we added the zipper, and also because the dress is a stretchy material" and I said "if I knew that would happen I wouldn't have added it lol"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I returned, it had improved slightly but was still a major issue. I also noticed several snags in the fabric, and the lining was far more visible than it should have been, you could see it clearly underneath the dress throughout the night. At first, I thought I might be able to live with it, but ultimately I couldn't. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I tried calling to come back in, but didn't get a response quickly enough, so I went to another tailor in Santa Monica to have it fixed, which ended up costing $30.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They said the zipper that was added was way too flexible and replaced it one that was more stiff. Overall, while the experience started off positively, the quality of the alterations and the need for last-minute corrections made it stressful and disappointing. read more

I brought my bridesmaid dress to be hemmed, and they quoted me $80. When I picked it up, it was completely ruined. There were multiple snags all over, and the hem was uneven. I have pictures of my dress before I took it in looking fine, and new. Came here because of all of the great reviews from Yelp but didn't know anyone personally who had visited. I brought in a bridesmaid dress for alterations after getting quotes from two other places and with only about 10 days ahead of a wedding. When I went to Pari she described what she would do and how much work it would be and I felt defeated from how high the cost had been at other places so decided to go with her, knowing I was short on time. I ended up being charged the same amount for minor alterations (totalling $130) and she ended up doing workarounds to fix the top that were noticeable vs taking apart and reconstructing the top of the dress as she described she would. When I picked it up I only had two days ahead of the wedding so there wasn't much to be done. In the end the dress was much looser than I hoped and was not at all worth the money I paid for it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wouldn't recommend going here unless you are willing to be extremely clear about what you need done, and willing to bargain to get the price down - overall disappointed with the experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more

She went above and beyond reconstructing the dress to remove the cut part, and even managed to smooth out a wrinkled area around the zipper on the left hip in the process.
