I had one large loose…read morecotton shirt to be copied and remade exactly as it was. i did say the top button could be left off. and i had two long dresses to be hemmed. one came out perfectly and the other was an eyelet hem that had to be taken off and replaced at the correct length and with the side slits to remain the same length as originally. The hemmed eyelet dress is 1-1/2 inches too short on one side and is lopsided. The shirt being copied came back with plastic snaps instead of buttons. i asked for those to be replaced with buttons. the tailor asked for two extra days to redo and i gave him four extra days. This afternoon i went to pick up and was told they were waiting for buttons they ordered. three 1/2" white buttons and buttonholes could not be put in over 4 days??? !!! What a waste of $300+ If someone had called me to explain it would have helped.

I went in on a Saturday to get a dress altered and she means business! Immediately she said hi, pointed me to a fitting room, and started asking questions. I loved it. Absolute professional. I walked out and she said I needed nothing done. She adjusted my straps and told me with the shoes my dress was perfect. She was honest and straightforward and I'm bringing all my clothes to her from now on. I even asked her if the straps needed to be more secure and what her opinion was of a second slit. She gave me her feedback and told me it was unnecessary when a lesser person would've taken my money. She's an expert and she's amazing. I'll be back. I'll pay whatever she tells me because I know she's honest. These are the people we need running businesses.

Stretched out button holes, it had become incapable of keeping him snug, cozy. $8 per to tighten them = snug, cozy. I truly would have messed up this repair. ALL items cleaned with care, packaged appropriately ready to be worn this coming fall/winter. Short term drop-off/pick-up parking at entrance off of Westwood Boulevard and Holman Avenue. We usually walk to Sterling Cleaners for drop-off but pick-up via our car(s). Made the mistake at pick-up by parking in an employee only zone. Fortunately, thanks to efficient staff, I was only in an employee's space for mere minutes. Whew! Check-in on Yelp but there's no longer a discount along with it. When I mentioned this we were given a 25% off neighborhood courtesy. Sterling Cleaners now prefers a Google review but I'm gonna stick with Yelp.

At my first visit I said clearly that I needed the skirt shortened. She told me that taking it in can change the length, so we should wait until the second fitting to see whether it still needed shortening. That made sense. She quoted me $60 and explicitly said she's charging me for both hemming and altering. I came back a few days later. The skirt still needed to be taken in further and shortened. Only after she finished pinning me did she tell me it would be an additional $50. At that point I was four days out from a wedding I was in as a bridesmaid, with no time to take the skirt anywhere else (the skirt was part of a 2-piece set). The price went up at the exact moment I had no ability to walk away. I absolutely won't be back because they scam people like this. I ended up spending $110 on hemming a skirt, which cost more than the entire set itself. One correction to their website: it still advertises this as George's family business. George has passed, and none of his family works there.

On top of that, there's no AC, so unless you want to try on alterations sweating in a tiny wooden box behind a thin curtain, I would not recommend.
