I'll start by saying I had made a positive review at one point but it appears it has been removed. We had been going to Camp Bow Wow since my pup was 4months old. She was loved by all dogs and people and every time had such a great experience. We were sad when they closed after the previous owner left and were so happy when they reopened. My Beddy was a regular, went at least once a week and boarded multiple times. She was even crowned "Camper of the Month". After we moved further north, we still came about once a week. All that to say we LOVED Camp Bow Wow. I took Beddy to camp to play with her friends on her 2nd birthday in October 2025 and it was an awful experience. We have a yard so I don't need her to have space to run. I specifically took her to camp to play with her friends on her birthday. I got a text about halfway through the day, saying she had been in a "scuffle", was ok but would be rotated between yards due to her high energy. Beddy is always high energy. The team knows this and we had never had an issue. When I went to pick her up, come to find out, she was kept in a separate "yard" almost the entire day. There was no mention of her being aggressive or a danger or unmanageable and yet she was isolated almost all day. I was devastated and Beddy seemed sad when I brought her home, probably because she spent all day trying to figure out why she couldn't play but could "smell the others". Leading up to this, I had noticed lately that there were A LOT more dogs attending camp and the staff was always new/rotating. My guess is yes, my Beddy is high energy but because they are more concerned about the money/numbers, they had too many dogs to handle one that may require some redirection here and there. And my guess is she was kenneled most of the day. Not in some "extra yard" by herself. This is not ok. Especially considering how long we had been going there and had never had an issue. I asked for the owner to call me, she never did. I could understand if Beddy was having an off day, wasn't getting along with the dogs, was a threat...but when I asked if that was the case they said no. She was kept separate to make their job easier because they had too many dogs. Period. Other things to note, they use squirt bottles to redirect dogs and I once saw them pull a dog hard by the collar across the entire yard when it didn't appear there was a major issue (there was no apparent threat). These are not ways I would expect my dog to be handled. On their social media they share posts that are not from their facility which is deceiving and they never asked me for proof of updated vaccines when Beddy's expired. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was a hard day, etc but after the birthday incident we have not been back and I would second guess bringing your dog here.

However, this location is tucked away behind Panda Express. My first visit was to tour the facility and one of the staff and manager shared more information with us and answered all of my question - they were great. The facility itself is clean and pretty spacious, and they have an indoor/outdoor play area for the dogs. What really stood out was the initial meet and greet, with a focus on making your dog feel comfortable and assess their temperament. I felt reassured that all the dogs passed this and are properly socialized. My dog has since gone to daycare and really enjoyed himself. I was also happy that I could view him on the live webcam and they sent pictures of him smiling and playing. Great customer service and some cute well-behaved dogs here. Check them out!

It's fine, the photos just make it look INSANELY nice. There have been multiple times we looked at the camera and the person that is supposed to be playing with them is just walking back and forth ignoring them all. Then I'm told she doesn't do well in all day play. so they put her in day stay (in a kennel all day except for 2 one hour play sessions). I didn't realize no one was with her in that time. She tried to escape and even came home with bloody paws from pawing at the door. so we said let's do all day play again! so she'll be with someone all day. then i pick her up the next day and they tell me they had no idea and put her back in day stay on my first boarding night, i included her sensitive stomach treats from the vet. THEY GAVE HER THE ENTIRE BAG for 2 nights and had no clue what happened when i picked her up and asked about it. again, they made up an excuse to play it off. from a boarding night, we picked her up and they gave her NONE of her food and blew it off like she's ok. i even had told them the food is sensitive stomach and has her supplements in it (she's 12). they gave her their own food filled with all of these ingredients the first night and of course she was nauseous for the next meal and didn't eat it. i even asked them for the ingredient list. SHE LEFT WITH BLOODY DIARRHEA FOR 2 DAYS, until I was able to treat her with medicine at the vet. They assured me she had firm stool and she was fine because "no notes is good notes" i swear i heard that every day when i ask how the day went. i think we've hit our final straw after the last boarding night. i usually don't make bad reviews but wanted to educate ppl if they have older dogs or strict diet dogs!!

At the time of making the reservation, I was told my dog needed a 30 minute temperament test because it had been at least 6 months since she had been with them. This was the first time I had ever heard of this requirement and I told them that my dog had just been with them in March. The person who made my reservation said then it should be fine. Fast forward to today, less than 24 hours before my flight I get a call at 2pm saying I needed to bring my dog in for a temperment test or else they would not take her? I explained my conversation I had with whoever made my reservatation, but she still insisted I needed to bring my dog in today. This was not realistic being that I was still at work and had no way to rush my dog there today. Now I am forced to coordinate with friends to watch my dog over the next 5 days. If someone had contacted me a week ago I would have gladly accommodated them, but this was just plain rude and inconsiderate to spring on me last minute. If Camp Run a Mutt wants to have this policy, then they need to be clear with their customers and review their schedule well in advance to avoid this from happening. This business definitely doesn't care about their customers, or they are very disorganized. Either way, I'm no longer recommending them.

My daughter sent messages daily to ask about the "babies". I felt she was too much, but she was always answered promptly and sent short videos of them enjoying their stay. One of the dogs developed an ear infection (common for her) while there. I was sent text messages with pictures immediately and Stitxh even cleaned her ears which gave her some relief. Stitch knows his business very well and treated my dogs spectacularly. I had no worries or concerns. Well, maybe a little to get my dog to the vet but she just had dirty ears from the constant hair growth in there. I'm not exactly a spring chicken anymore, and having a big, strong puppy dragging me around by my arm was not my idea of a good time! I sent Reign to Chris at Cosmo K9 for their two-week puppy board and train program, and what a difference! She came home so much calmer. She listens, follows commands, and has actually learned how to settle herself down instead of getting worked up over everything. The best part is that she's still my sweet Reign, full of personality, but now I can actually enjoy her company without the constant chaos. I wanted a companion, not a daily wrestling match! Chris gave me something I was really missing with Reign: peace of mind. I can enjoy my beautiful girl now instead of constantly worrying about what she's going to do next.
