It's typically not very busy in the mall area during the week but it does get busier on the weekend. A nice option for shopping and dining if you're ever in the area and if you want to escape the craziness of Garden State Plaza or something more upscale than Bergen Town Center.

Store prices vary and the mall can't really control that, obviously, but there's a good variety of stores with their ranging prices so that you can find your preference. I only know of one bathroom area and while it's pretty big, it also feels hidden and is inconvenient if you need to go from anywhere besides the center of the mall. Also, there's great parking and a bus stop for commuters. There's also other stores located in the same area but not in the mall which is convenient for a variety of reasons.

As I ventured through the entire Mall, in maybe took me 15-20 minutes in a relatively comfortable pace, and it SEEMS 1/2 open businesses, and 1/2 shuttered-closed businesses. I like a quiet mall. I avoid malls on weekends for this reason, but this wasn't just quiet, it was strangely quiet. I've just experienced a mall past it's prime. Odd. I would've loved to see it in it's glory. There were more people in Stew Leanords (probably) then the entire mall put-together. Thank god for that supermarket to choose Paramus Park for its location! In any case --- it's a decent visit in the "land of malls".

While many mainstay stores have left, they have a few stores still that could make it worth a visit: uniglo, stew Leonard's, LL Bean, etc. The food court upstairs has far fewer options now. The one thing I've always liked about this mall was that it was easy to navigate and hard to get lost in, unlike its sister the Garden State Plaza mall. Plus parking is super easy in comparison as well because of far fewer patrons. Management also seems to have kept up with the mall's maintenance and decor even with fewer tenants. No tax on most clothes and shoes in NJ so that's always a plus! You won't likely find everything you need here but if that's not an issue, not a bad mall at all.

I'll go into Center City for Marshalls, GNC, and PriceRIte more often. I've only been to Hamilton & Ward, but there are other eateries like Downtown Grill and IHOP. Inside, I've also seen there's a nail place, as well as a movie theater and arcade. Center City Mall is easy to get to via public transportation with bus stops, and there is underground parking available. Star rating based on convenience and ease of location - especially smack in the middle of an urban area.

During the weekend, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) brought "Your Korea Starts Here" to American Dream 11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (both days) for free. It was an immersive K-Tourism roadshow featuring traditional Korean music and dance performances, K-Pop performances and Random Play Dance, K-Pop quizzes, dance challenges, and audience participation, Korean food and K-Beauty experiences, interactive cultural exhibits and photo experience, commemorative event charm collection, Korea travel information and destination inspiration, promotional giveaways and prizes hosted by partner organizations at American Dream Court A. Attendees who register on-site will also be eligible to enter a drawing for a round-trip flight between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Seoul (ICN). Took my daughter to American Dream Mall for her birthday weekend, expecting water slides and celebration shakes. What we got was a masterclass in disappointment. The water park was closed for electrical work. Fine -- things happen. So we headed to the shake shop to salvage the birthday with one of their fancy cake-topped frappés. Also closed. At this point the "dream" branding was starting to feel like false advertising. The hotel situation wasn't any better, not that the mall can be blamed for this. But fair warning to others who traveled as far as we did for this magical weekend. Pool closed for the entire weekend -- not for a quick cleaning, but pending state inspection results that could take "days to weeks." Called around to other hotels thinking we'd just move. Same story everywhere. Apparently post-Memorial Day weekend triggers mandatory state testing after high guest volume, and every pool in the area was in limbo. Nobody mentioned this when we booked. Back at the mall, the game room -- where the closed shake shop lives -- lost power entirely. And if that weren't enough, the fire alarm spent a good chunk of the afternoon flashing and blaring "there is a fire in the building, evacuate immediately" on repeat. Not once. Multiple times. So to recap: no water park, no birthday shake, no hotel pool, no game room, and a fire alarm that cried wolf so often we genuinely weren't sure whether to panic or just keep walking. Happy birthday, kid. At least the parking lot was open.
