There were quite a good amount of people in the outdoor patio and some people seated watching the FIFA game. Inside the place is nice and cool, actually plants growing, nice wooden chairs and a person is bussing/clearing and cleaning the tables. The tables are moveable if you have people joining you. Several outlets to plug in your electronics if you're working or looking things up. My friend and I met to plan a vacation so the outlets were helpful. You order at the register and there so many fun options: breakfast, lunch, dinner, pastries and delicious desserts. It was slow due to the soccer game. Most of everyone already ordered their food. They were just getting more drinks. Yes, Solar De Cahuenga serves coffee, teas and alcohol. So I was greeted by the cashier but with no eye contact...more of a "Do you know what you want?" I ordered an iced tea. She plied "An Iced tea, anything else?" I say yes the turkey chili. She replied again "Turkey chili, anything else?" That's when I repeated how she spoke i in her robotic tone "Anything else, anything else? No that is all." She actually perked up and became friendlier and explained that she was in the zone. I got my number on a stick, the iced tea and returned to my friend. We started up our computers and planned our trip. The cashier drop off the turkey chili and was friendly and conversational (I'm glad to let people know that it's ok to personable. It's working and visit a restaurant memorable). They have a ton of exciting options when it comes to caffeination! Like with everything here, the options are endless for coffee. I've actually eaten here many times and must say that the sandwiches are delicious but are truly a haute mess! Meaning they have so many ingredients are so packed with deliciousness that I always need a bunch of napkins as an egg oozes out or arugula falls all over. That being said, some highlights of things I've had are their meatball sub that was 1000% better than anything you'd get from Subway. I've also tried the pastrami sandwich and loved it. I absolutely love the Grappa di Mattina with Fresh-Cracked Eggs, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Fresh Tomato, Avocado, Arugula and Aioli on Sourdough Toast!
