There are toys to play with while waiting for x-ray results and the kids get a token for the toy machine after their appointment. Significant to me is that you can go back in the exam room with your child. There are some pediatric dentists who make it a rule that parents must stay in the waiting room. I was forced to leave a voice message to cancel her appointments due to not receiving estimates in a timely manner. Also, have you ever been charged for anesthesia D9215? A regular filling includes numbing the tooth with a shot. To add D9215 is called "unbundling" a procedure from the primary filling code. I called to schedule an appointment and the woman who answered the phone was very short and rude to me. I got as far as asking about accepted insurance and advised her I have employer offered insurance with United Healthcare, as well as have UHC Badgercare Plus assistance for my son. She made me feel very degraded as she stated they do not accept UHC insurance and absolutely did not accept any type of state assistance. I could not believe they did not accept regular UHC insurance, but I did expect them to not accept the Badgercare, as most dentists do not. I asked if I could pay out of pocket and she told me "no, we will not take your money". I felt like I should have apologized for being an inconvenience to her time, after the way she spoke to me. She never apologized for the inconvenience and did not offer any other pediatric dentist to call. I will advise my current dentist to not refer patients here any more. I have thick skin and used to be a Cop. I can handle being spoken to in any manner. I would not recommend anyone to contact this office after my experience. She says 'since you are a new Patient, we'll need Xrays.' I said, I have 2 dental insurances, and if it's not covered for my routine visit, I don't want it. They state 'they don't know what my insurance will cover, etc....' I'm an Advance Practice provider. Nearly all clinics, hospitals are on the EPIC computer system. We can see all Xray reports and a patients visits from other providers too. Why can't they do that? Why can't Forwrd Dental realize I'm a new patient and look into that before I get there? Sure If they really wanted my business, when I walked in as a new patient for them with TWO Dental insurances, they should have said, ' Since you have insurance (two of them), we want you as a new patient, and we'll cover any costs of routine Xrays that your insurance won't cover. But no, they don't care about getting a new patient, WITH TWO DENTAL insurances, having NO dental problems, no mouth pain, all his own teeth, etc. I left a message asking them to call me to discuss this further. Nope, no call. They could care less. I went to get my partial repaired. I ended up with what I didn't request, it looked like crap and took forever. She refused to listen to me even though I was out of pocket for a substantial amount. These people tell you what you want to hear but they are very dishonest. I began my research for a quick extraction which I knew I needed coming from Florida . My sister recommended this office since we are from out of town. This dental office was a god send.
