They even have little tray tables next to every seat. Lets face it , Going to a movie is getting very expensive. I took my son & nephew to AMC and spent over $60 on admission and snacks. This place offers daily admission specials of $7 for shows before 5 pm. and every Tuesday all movies are $6. It is in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. I always check this place first for a movie listing. Its also nice to support a business in the county thats family owned.

The way they used the entire stage and the lawn outside to incorporate into the show was awesome. The voices of the actors/actresses were unbelievable as well--the entire show was wonderful. Les Mis is my favorite show and I have seen it in many formats over the year-but nothing in an open air amphitheater with such a small audience. I was blown away by the talent of the cast and when reading their bio's after the show, it makes sense-as the majority of these actors have been on Broadway or been acting in other major theaters. The amphitheater structure is brand new this year and is modern, inviting and all the seats have a great view of the stage. I feel like this place is such a hidden gem-I cannot wait to return to see another show in the future. We also did a picnic overlooking the Hudson River and beyond was breathtaking. They even have an area where you can check in your picnic items so you don't have to run back to the car before the show to put everything away. They even had golf carts to help transport folks from the parking lot to the picnic and show area. They open 2 or 2.5 hrs before the show for folks to come an picnic on the lawn--we brought all of our own stuff, but there is an option to preorder picnic snacks/sandwiches etc. that they will deliver to you. The staff was efficient and very friendly-if you get a chance to go and check out this new amphitheater and picnic before the show-you will not be disappointed!

Patrons are respectful of others here. The QR-menu ordering system was problematic, awkward, and time consuming. I imagine if you're an Alamo Drafthouse regular who is locked-in on what to order and memorized the process already, nbd. But it was a hassle for me. Plus, I used to enjoy the brief but pleasant interactions with the staff during the ordering process. Also, at this particular location the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner.

It just made us cringe and it was hard to focus on the movie after hearing all that squeaking. We had to every now and then bang on our seats in hopes it will stop or they don't come near us. After hearing that it made us feel uneasy of what we just consumed during the movie. We were liking this theater and the experience but after hearing the squeaks , doubt we'll come back unless they fix this issue asap. Based on the comments in Google it seems it has been happening for a few months now and nothing has been made to fix this rodent problem.

Yorktown Stage runs an amazing summer camp…read more Owner Barry Liebman knows what he's doing and has honed the camp experience into a dream come true for any up and coming performers. During the week, campers will work with a choreographer to perfect two dance routines -- one to a musical theatre show and another to a pop song. Between dance classes, campers will rotate into improv and arts and crafts classes. Each week culminates in a performance of the two dances in front of a very packed crowd of thrilled parents and relatives. The head counselor August is awesome and the staff and CITs follow his enthusiastic lead to deliver an incredible experience for all of the campers.

Held annually, Westchester Wine and Food Festival spans five glorious days of eating, drinking and meeting very nice people and business owners. I attended the Grand Tasting this weekend after a two friends both kept pestering me to go. They kept saying how great it was and I should buy a ticket too. I gave into peer pressure and bought a ticket (was able to snag the early bird discount) using a link my friend sent to me. Was glad they told me way in advance so I could benefit from the early bird discounted price too. Upon entering the event, I was pleasantly surprised. Many tents with a wide variety of food ranging from vegetarian burgers to fresh ceviches to decadent desserts and pastries. Plus the Bona Bona ice cream truck gave out huge portions of their delicious gourmet ice cream (I had the banana walnut this time. Tried the chefs mint last time. Yum!). But the real star of this event was the wine. The wine selection spanned across multiple tents, lots of variety and quality. Harrison Wine Vault was the exclusive sponsor of the wines for this year's festival (in previous years it was Zachys of Scarsdale). One of the great things about the WWFF is they publish a complete online list of vendors and specific wines for the event (see http://winefood.westchestermagazine.com/tickets/). Nice to have an opportunity to check out the selection ahead of the festival, instead of finding out after you buy the ticket. There was a VIP tent too, but honestly, it wasn't necessary in order to enjoy this event (unless you are wine obsessed - the VIP wines are in there but you need to purchase the more expensive Connoisseurs Tent ticket. Not needed unless you wish to IMO). The general admission ticket main area had so much, I wasn't able to try everything. Plus they gave away free stuff, including sparkling beverages from Italy. Looks like my friends were right. This is a good one!
