If I could give this store a -5 out of 5 I would do so in a heartbeat. I have never in my life been…read moretreated so poorly by a company ever. The store manager is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered, he belittles women and puts them down, is blatantly disrespectful to customers, and has no regard for any sort of customer experience. The irony here is that all I asked is for my quote to be emailed to me so I could book their services. What kind of company treats women with absolute disregard and disdain? I'm sure the store managers views on equity and compassion as a whole, are missing entirely. If you are any sort of minority or female I would be scared to go in the store for fear of extreme mistreatment. From the minute I walked in the door I was treated rudely by the sales team. The team who came to measure my home was extremely nice and arrived within 48 hours from my first request for service. It is now two months later and I have still not received my quote from the salesman. I followed up for weeks asking politely to have that emailed to me. When I called today to ask for help I'm told that I can only speak with the one sales person assigned to my account -yet he's never available. When I asked to speak to the store manager the guy on the phone says he is the manager and is an out right ASSHOLE to me saying they would just "throw my quote in the trash", treating me rude and completely condescending because I calmly asked if he can just look in the system. When I ask for the number of the owner he tells me that he'll give it to me and then hangs up on me. When I call back they keep hanging up on me. My husband tried calling to get information for a manager, and the store manager yelled at him and hung up on him as well. BEWARE TO BE TREATED ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTINGLY.

Outstanding craftsmanship, professionalism, and integrity -- JDW Flooring exceeded every…read moreexpectation We recently had JDW Flooring install a Versailles-pattern parquet floor, and I honestly could not be more impressed with the result or the experience from start to finish. This was not a simple flooring job. The parquet required precise layout, exacting alignment, and a deep understanding of wood behavior, finishing, and sequencing. The JDW team approached the project with patience, skill, and pride in their work -- and it shows in every inch of the finished floor. One thing that really stood out: I supplied the parquet flooring, the sealer, and the polyurethane myself. Many flooring companies would have insisted on supplying everything in order to add markup or to control quantities. JDW Flooring did neither. They were completely comfortable working with owner-supplied materials, advised me honestly along the way, and treated the materials as if they were their own. That level of professionalism and integrity is rare. The crew was: Meticulous in their prep and installation Careful, clean, and respectful of our home Consistent and communicative throughout the process Clearly experienced with high-end and specialty flooring The before-and-after transformation is dramatic -- what was once an ordinary room is now something truly special and elegant. The parquet lies perfectly flat, the pattern is beautifully aligned, and the finish is flawless. If you're looking for a flooring company that values craftsmanship over shortcuts, is comfortable with custom or high-end work, and treats clients with honesty and respect, I cannot recommend JDW Flooring highly enough. We would absolutely use them again without hesitation.

I say this because I had staples that were not seated(not sure correct word) then the indention filled before the last coat is applied. I had to have them come back to fix several areas that should have been done 1st time around. The crews were always running late and would text and say they would be late. Some of the crews were extremely loud carrying on personal conversations about issues with the company. Not great PR for the company. They can do better! I think they are just trying to run fast and get jobs done quick without taking time for the quality work that you are expecting with what you are paying. My floors do look wonderful though!

We were drawn to this company because they offered faster dry time and ability to stay in the basement while they worked. We should have done much more research. It has only been 2 1/2 years and the floors have non-removable stains, and plenty of scratches/dings. While the finish on our old floor stood up for a much longer period of time, I was totally disappointed with the continued poor performance of this floor work. And, please keep this in mind, upon leaving, SVB gave us an entire BONA kit for care of wood floors. About 8 months ago I called SVB and requested that they come out and give me some reason for the floor performance being so poor. They prodded around and said that the stains were not able to be lifted. AND THEY ARE VERY NOTICABLE. The representative asked what I used to clean the wood floors. I told him I was using the BONA products that had been left when the floor was completed. The representative said, that this product use would void my guarantee or any warranty. So now, 2 1/2 years down the road I have an expensive refinished floor that looks just about as bad as the old one. I do not recommend this dealer for floor finishing. They may have groovy equipment, but their process and support are sorely lacking.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the finished product, and they were able to match to my existing hardwoods at about 98% closeness. I was very happy. Fast-forward three years, I had a leak in my kitchen and hired a contractor to do a full kitchen remodel, including refinishing the entire first floor hardwoods. They did a poor job at refinishing the floors. There were cracks in the floors, the stain didn't match at all (despite the exact same stain color and brand), and there was pooling of stain everywhere. I actually texted Tyrer to come and give a second opinion on the bad work of the contractors I hired, which they gladly came to assess the situation. Twice. For 2 separate issues. I just thought all hardwood companies did about the same quality work - I was wrong. Tyrer even consulted for a friend who had similar issues with her floors. I've recommended Tyrer to all my friends, and if I'm not able to settle with my existing contractor, I am absolutely hiring them to redo the poor craftsmanship of the other company. I also intend to hire them to redo any carpets in my house. Jason, Joy, and Ronnie - Thank you so much for all your help, even when it's providing a second opinion.
