So I don't see how they can advertise as using "free and clear" detergent. Doesn't that mean scent-free? Family medical issues have resulted in home chores, one of which was laundry, taking a back seat. So I was very happy to find a service that would take care of this task for me. I went with Wash Wizards based on the stellar reviews, the convenience of no-contact pick-up and drop-off, the free and clear detergent (aka scent-free), and the free cloth laundry bag that was supposed to come with the delivery of my first order that would then allow me to fill the bag with the items I wanted to have washed. I placed my order (bedding and bath rugs) on Friday for a Saturday pick-up. And since this was my first order, I placed my laundry in trash bags outside my front door. I just put everything in the bags. The order was picked up before noon and delivered today (Monday) before noon as well. Now, according to the website "Everything comes back to you folded and packaged in a cloth laundry bag that is provided free of charge." However, mine did not. Instead, everything came packaged in one large clear plastic bag that was knotted so tight that I had to use scissors to get the laundry out. In terms of quality of services, they did a great job folding the sheets, but there was a definite scent on the laundry. Also, I can only suppose that they washed everything (rather than separating by colors) in hot water because my pale pink sheets and floral sheets looked duller, and my slate blue sheets had clearly faded. Again, having not used a laundry service before, if I needed to separate the washing into separate bags, that would have been helpful to have included in the FAQ. And I guess I have been so used to washing in cold water that I didn't think of adding that to my order - so I'll take the blame for that - but perhaps updating the website order page to include that as an option to select, because when you are busy with other things that you need a laundry service, adding notes to your laundry is the last thing on your mind. Finally, the lack of a laundry bag bugged me, especially since the website specifically promised one as coming with the first order.

It's about 8:30pm, the first thing I notice is some lady beating the crap out of a machine. I put my laundry in and a bit later I check to see what she was beating up. It's a coin dozer game filled with quarters and little bonus bricks with cash wrapped around them. I'm waiting for my laundry to wash in my car and I watched about 3 other people pull into the parking lot, try their luck and leave. There's been a girl inside she looks like she's washing the machines and playing the coin dozer. I walk in, and put my clothes in the dryer. I have a couple of quarters left, so I figure why not and drop them into the game. I win approximately fifty-cents when the girl comes out of nowhere and announces that those are her quarters in the machine. I'm not too worried about fifty cents and let her have it. Bottom line--it's got some brand new beautiful machines that work well. However, the coin dozer game brings in a "unique" assortment of people, that are there to do more than laundry. Late at night, it's kinda creepy. I won't be going back.

I hadn't been to a laundromat in almost 20 years, the last time was when I was in my early 20's (I'll be 42 in July), and I live in Salt Lake City, UT, and was going to "college". I did a quick google search for "laundromats near me with free WiFi" and Tower Square Coin-Op Laundry was the closest to me, 3.5 miles away, or about 10 minutes, well worth the short trip. I am glad I went, I got my laundry done right, was able to actually get my clothes cleaned properly and when I dried them, I didn't take home a mixture of everyone else's lint and hair and goodness knows what else! (shudder) I met three employees at Tower Laundry, Cindy, Anna and Rita, all very friendly and helpful, I met Cindy on my first visit a couple of days ago and she showed me how to work the machines, how much soap, etc, and also on that day on my way out I met Anna, and then when I came back to finish up the rest of the laundry a couple of days later I met Rita, such cool people!! Thank You Tower Laundry, I'll be coming back here for sure to do my laundry since I guarantee there won't be any new or cheaper washers or dryers at my place anytime soon, and I actually enjoy doing laundry at your place!
