Our first time paragliding could not have been better thanks to Dexter and Paul. I'm afraid of heights and was quiet anxious going into it, but from the moment my feet lifted off the ground. Paul made it an amazing experience. I've done hang gliding (in Honolulu), but I was so anxious I didn't get to enjoy it as I did with paragliding. We did the 3,000 ft experience (highly recommended). Note: When they said dress in warm clothes: they mean dress in warm clothes. Lol. Dress for 50 degree weather. I would definitely do this again if it was for a different view. If you're in Maui, this is a must!!!

Went paragliding with them on 11/3/2021 and had a great time. I highly recommend this company! They make you feel so safe and go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. I'm afraid of heights and I felt so safe doing this! Staff & owner are very friendly & truly want you to have a great experience with them. We are soooo glad we did this. All the pilot/instructors were so nice. Paul was my husband's instructor. Chuck was mine. My husband is 50, I'm 45, it was our first time & we loved it. The price is great & it was worth every penny. The peace & beauty flying is just incomparable.

The big flight was well worth it! Rescheduling was easy after the first day was too cloudy to fly. The team was able to accommodate a last minute request on a day that was already booked out. And as a solo pilot I was even permitted to join by flying in the sky at the same time that my partner was doing a tandem flight, achieving our dream of being able to fly at the same time!

Really fun. I am afraid of height, but still enjoy the activity. This was my first time and therefore we chose 1000 meter. The only regret was that 1000 meter is too short. I will choose 3000 meter for sure if I will try again. The view overlooking Maui was spectacular.

This is a must while in Maui. Very thrilling and relaxing at the same time. Do the 3000 ft! It's the only way to go! The wind was just right we were both able to get a 20 min flight. Will be doing this every year we come back!!

Thank you Proflyght Paragliding Maui for making my first flight amazing! The owner, Dexter, was very helpful in answering my questions when making my reservation. Paul was the pilot I was strapped to for my tandem flight. He gave great instructions and prepped me for what to expect. I enjoyed soaring peacefully and having a birds eye view of this beautiful island. It was a great experience and I look forward to doing it again.

Dexter... he is the best... As the website said... easy launch and landing... I just walk and run a few steps, then I can fly.. He also shows me some technique of paragliding .. Before I go, the yelp review is not good.. but trip advisors got very good review.. If you want to do something special in your trip , just go paragliding..go for 3000ft... Dont think about 1000 ft...

Recently got to experience paragliding for the first time! Proflyght is an amazing company with amazing people. Went with my boyfriend for his brithday, and they definitely made sure we had the time of our lives. Make sure you do the 3000ft flight! Would recommend this a million times over.

Second time flying with these guys. Paul and Dexter are pro's pros and super nice guys. The view is as gorgeous as you'll find anywhere on Earth and the flight is peaceful and quite memorable. Can't believe I made it back to Maui after only two years, but there wasn't a question we'd be up for a second flight once we decided to return.

There are not enough stars to say how amazing this was!! If you're considering it, just sign up right now!! I am a big chicken who is afraid of everything, and I have no idea why I signed up but I'm so glad I did! Dexter talked really calmingly to us in the car, explained that they have done thousands of flights over many, many years, and there was nothing to worry about. Once I got up there, I was so excited to see the beauty of Maui from above. It was my favorite sports experience that I have ever done. I wanted to sign up again for the next day but we were leaving and my friends were afraid we'd miss our plane, lol. I am 50 and not an athlete or an adrenaline junkie, but I honestly think this could be fun for anyone. And Proflyght is the very best company out there! I will be back for sure. Try it!! read more

This was a wonderful experience and the location is just stunning!! Customer service was great. Felt very safe and comfortable as Dexter and the staff were all extremely professional. Also, make sure you stop by the lavender farm for their homemade lavender scones, lavender tea, and to peruse the gardens! The landing site is right beside the farm and the entrance fee is waived by flying with Proflyght. It's an unforgettable experience!!! read more

This was a great adventure. Myself and my three boys aged 17, 16, 12, all had a great experience. It was extremely well run, safety came first, and was a very positive and exciting experience. Will do it again on our return to Maui. read more

Proflyght Paragliding is the company to call if you want to see Maui in all its splendor from a peaceful seat in the sky. There is nothing like this experience anywhere else on the Island and Dexter and his crew are amazing in what they do! Customer service is second to none but safety seemed to be the primary factor in their pursuits. I had my brother in town and after a previous flight in Switzerland, I had already committed to starting lessons the day after, but wanted to show my brother what this amazing new endeavor was all about. We signed up on line for the 3k foot flight and as soon as my tandem instructor heard I was coming back tomorrow for lessons, he got right to showing me what he was doing and why just to give me an edge for the next days steps. Abai (I'm sure I misspelled that, Sorry) was my tandem pilot and he was awesome! Everybody I met that morning whether instructors or pilots where all full of Aloha and genuinely seemed thrilled to have you join them for the day. If you want a unique, special, and amazing experience while visiting or to just see more of Maui than ever before, call these guys up... you won't be disappointed. read more

I'm so glad I came across Proflyght after seeing a couple of paragliders flying over the ocean the day before. The online booking process was easy. There are two choices: 1k or 3k tandem. I highly recommend the 3k as it will give you more airtime. Dexter was an awesome instructor. He is very experienced: knew exactly the right wind conditions to launch, and instructed patiently every step of the way. It never felt like we were falling off a cliff (which was what I had previously imagined). What was especially cool was that during our flight he showed a few tricks in the sky like the spiral spin and how to use the wind to control the direction of the flight. While in the sky, it felt really peaceful and calm, but he can definitely spice up the adventure by utilizing the airflow in certain ways. The view from the top was breathtaking. At the end of our flight, we landed smoothly on the soft grass. I cannot wait to try this again when I'm in Maui and would recommend it to all my friends. read more

I am a paragliding pilot and took my wing along to Maui. Dexter (the owner of Proflyght) is super friendly and runs a well organized paragliding site. I felt very welcome and all the local pilots are extremely nice, helped me in any aspect to enjoy wonderful flights. After a quick site intro and a short skill assessment - they allowed me flying from the top. I have flown in Europe and the US, never the less the amazing artifact about this site is the cloud build-up like clock-work. It enabled multiple cloud surfing flights, which was simply stunning for me! If you are a pilot; take your wing to Maui and visit Proflyght. I can highly recommend. read more

Dexter is the kindest man! He speaks very calmly and definitely reassured me that I would be safe on my first time paragliding. I forget the name of the man I flew with but he was awesome too! He said he was the rookie because he had only been flying for 10 years compared to the other pilots. He could've fooled me because of how well we took off, flew, and landed. We did some cool tricks on our way down which I 100% recommend doing if you're a thrill seeker or just feeling in the moment. Worth every penny! read more

Proflyght Paragliding is dedicated to the safe enjoyment of the sport of Paragliding. We fly in all seasons and on most days of the year, weather permitting, above Kula, on the slopes of Mt. Haleakalā.

Established in 2002.

Proflyght Paragliding is owned and operated by Advanced Tandem Instructor, Dexter Binder. All our instructors are certified by the United States Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association. We are the oldest and only full-time paragliding school in Hawaii with over 12,000 safe Tandem flights.

Meet the Business Owner: Dexter B.

I started flying Hang-gliders in 1988. In 1995 I flew my first Paraglider and have flown almost every day since. It would not be an exaggeration to say that I'm addicted to flying. Not just any kind of flying. I need the wind on my face, I need to feel the currents of the sky. I need the silence and tranquility of soaring. Most importantly, I need to share this experience with as many people as possible. Come fly with me and we'll both be happy!
