And who knew that you needed to book outside photographers weeks to months in advance?! I emailed several local photographers in a panic and the only one that responded was Liquid Sunshine -- within just a few hours even! Luckily Jen had a cancellation and offered the spot to us, which I happily snatched up. Newborns are time sensitive! We exchanged a few emails to coordinate/book and I received a nice instruction / what to expect file the day beforehand. I selected my background color choices and there were options for coordinating headbands and wraps laid out waiting when we arrived. Jen was inviting and friendly, polite about our new parent status and helped ease our nerves with a grace that is hard to beat. The studio is the entire bottom floor of her home, spacious and exceptionally well organized and clean. She has soooo many colors, wraps, headbands, props that you are guaranteed to find something to suit your fancy. I was pleased Jen pre-selected some things because it's almost overwhelming. We did the family photos first and Jen helped us look our best, tilt here - hand there - look that way. Then we transitioned to the solo baby photos. It put me at ease knowing Jen had certifications for newborn "handling" that other photographers are lacking. Our baby did great! Jen never made us feel in the way. The session ran smoothly and took a little less than the allotted three hours. A proofing gallery was available the very next day. I LOVE efficiency. There were too many excellent photos to choose so I ended up doubling my initial order. The edited selections were available within two more days - again, the professionalism and timeliness with Liquid Sunshine is hard to beat!

I've been a longtime Yelp reader but never had an experience so good or bad that it actually made…read moreme want to sign up for an account. Unfortunately in this case it was the latter. I hired Malia to take photos of our newly landscaped backyard -- she offered a reasonable estimate for the job so I agreed and set a date. Although she sounded very pleasant and easy to work with over the phone, we ran into problems almost immediately. First, she was over an hour late to our appointment with no warning. I called her multiple times while waiting and received zero response until she finally showed up to my door with no explanation other than 'traffic'. With everything already set up for the photos and no other photographer I could call on that short notice, I had no choice but to let her go ahead and do the shoot (note that it was still for full price, no discount was offered for the huge inconvenience). It was fairly obvious she was rushing the shots because she immediately left for another job after she was done...I guess mine just wasn't important enough for her. It took her nearly twice as long as she promised to me to send the edited photos back, and the results are on par with other photographers I've used that charge considerably less. All in all, quite a disappointing experience. I won't be using her services ever again.

I need glasses for distance. I have been going to Dr. Mitchell's office for years now. They have…read morefriendly staff. However, I feel the service has gone downhill over the years. I felt rushed during my last appointment and also waited quite awhile to be seen. I was told my glasses would be ready in two weeks. I never received a call or an email or any communication whatsoever. I called today (7th) and my glasses have been ready since the 2nd. I was told they called me on the 2nd. I looked at my phone and no history of a missed call. I came in today to pick up my glasses. One of the staff members adjusted my glasses. I looked in the mirror and noticed they were a bit crooked and was lower on the left side. The right side aligned with my eyebrows and the left was well below my eyebrows. I asked if she can fix it. She told me, "No, that's how they're supposed to be because your ears aren't even." I even laid the glasses on the table to show her how uneven it was. She insisted it was my ears. Wow!!! Not only was the comment rude but her facial expression of annoyance said it all. I left the office quite perturbed. All my previous glasses were even and they laid on the table evenly. I went back to work and asked a few co-workers opinion. They all agreed with me that the glasses were uneven. Because of this experience, I don't even want to go back to this office to get my glasses adjusted. I'll see if I can adjust them myself. They just lost a customer and any future referrals! UPDATE (11/8): I spoke to Nathan, the Manager and he was very apologetic. He was more than willing to make things right for me. I have to give him Kudos for following through on my complaint. However, I'm not sure if I want to go back to their office. The experience really left a bad taste in my mouth.

He has a small kitchen that worked great for me to warm up and prep the food, and the strobe lights were also a hit with the kids.
