Wasilla Vet does not care about your pet, only their pay!!!…read more They were fully prepared to let my 5 year old Western Siberian Laika, Daisy dog, die unnecessarily! Daisy dog was pregnant and had a miscarriage. Friday her discharge was green/brown. I called Wasilla Vet, where she had been a patient, they couldn't get her in until Tuesday. I called every day to see if they had any cancellations so Daisy dog could be seen. No was all they said with absolutely no concern for Daisy dogs status. Never even asked any questions about how she is doing. Finally Tuesday came and upon an examination the Dr diagnosed Daisy dog with Pyometra. Said she needed surgery immediately or she won't survive. Dr said she only has days to live in the condition she is in. Actually told me "she'll be lucky to make it until Friday". I tried to schedule the surgery, but their calendar was full. Said they can 'squeeze' her on Friday morning. I reminded them that they just told me she will be dead by Friday. "There is nothing we can do until Friday" is what I was told. I begged them to bump another less emergent surgery and they informed me thay cannot do that. Told me if I want it done sooner I'll need to call an ER vet. I called, they charge $5000 for the same $1600 surgery. That's out of my budget and Wasilla Vet was well aware of that. They wished me the best, said they hope Daisy dog makes it until Friday and sent us on our way. I called numerous vets pleading for help! Finally Faith at Bering Sea Animal Clinic in Chugiak heard my cry, understood the severity of the situation and went above and beyond to get Daisy dog the life saving surgery she needed. She got her into the clinic at 6:30 Wednesday morning. As in the very next day. I will be switching my pets to Bering Sea Animal Clinic and I highly recommend you do the same! Don't let your pet be a victim of Wasilla Vets carless greed!

I frequently go to the Palmer and Eagle River locations and have no complaints. Last Saturday I…read morewent to the WASILLA location to pick up some freeze dried dog food (they were out of it in Palmer) because I was headed north to an appointment in Talkeetna. I realized I had forgotten to pick-up the four bags of kibble I had paid for 20 minutes earlier in Palmer. I am a handicapped senior. The manager curtly told me they couldn't do that and refused to call the Palmer store, leaving me no choice but to be late for my appointment because I had to go back to the Palmerbstore and get the fI've bags of kibble. when I got back to aPalmer, Palmer store told me that had the WASILLA store called, this could have been done without my driving back to Palmer. The wasilla store manager, in my opinion was both rude and lazy because I asked her to call and she pointedly refused to do so.
