There are some new stores, plenty of parking, and it was overall clean when I visited. There's also a movie theater on site, although the mall itself has a bit of an old smell. The food court isn't very big and offers typical mall food like Panda Express, Cuban food, pizza, etc. One downside is that the food court is clearly understaffed. Most spots only had one server, which caused long lines despite the mall being quiet. I was on a lunch break and it took over 25 minutes for food. Some restaurants do offer lunch specials, which is nice for your pockets. I imagine it probably gets busier around the holidays, but if you want a quick, stress-free visit, weekdays are definitely the way to go.

The Shoppes of Monterra Commons is a new mixed use development owned by Diversified Realty Development Company, which is based in Deerfield Beach. Construction began in December 2021 and it looks like they just need to lease a few retail spaces. This development includes over 100,000 square feet of new buildings over 16 acres of land with 700 parking spaces. The development cost over $10 million to complete. In addition to the stores and restaurants, the Shoppes of Monterra also includes a brand new 175-unit Residential Active Adult Community. Current Monterra Commons tenants include a Brightstar Credit Union, Baseball Cards, Culver's, Huey Magoo's, the Learning Experience, First Watch, Crunch Fitness, Oaxaka, and Cali Coffee. Coming soon is Tide Laundry, Gyromama, and Playa Bowls. There is currently empty leasing space for other businesses. I tried out the Cali Coffee and Blueprint Cookies and loved both. I was surprised to see how busy it was here so it is clearly filling a need in the community. It is interesting to see new development come to what I considered a dead end area of Cooper City. It was only a matter of time before this last large parcel of Broward County was developed. Hopefully Cooper City residents are going to like what they put in.

It's proximity to the port and the Embassy Suites Hotel means that it gets a influx of tourists as well as locals looking for services, retail, and dining. The Harbor Shops are convenient to other top Ft. Lauderdale destinations like the beach and Las Olas Boulevard. The businesses in the Harbor Shops are arranged in an open air complex with a Key West architectural vibe and nautical theme. Parking is in the center. The plaza is anchored by a Publix. I have been here many times through the years, most recently to eat at Gilbert's 17th Street Grill. Other reasonably priced restaurants here include Joe's Cafe, Indian Harbor, Duffy's, 5 Guys Burgers and Fries, and La Bamba. Shopping choices include TJ Maxx along with boutiques. There is an Ace Hardware Store, Total Wine and More, Massage Envy, Chase Bank, and Orange Theory Fitness. You can run errands and enjoy a meal all in one place. Blatant Profiling, Harassment, and Professional Misconduct!…read more I am writing this review to formally document a deeply disturbing experience my family and I encountered at the Lux location within the Seminole Hard Rock. What was intended to be a celebratory shopping excursion for my daughter resulted in a blatant display of racial profiling and targeted harassment by the staff. The details of the encounter were as follows: * Discriminatory Treatment: My daughter selected several gowns to purchase, however needed try on prior. While the sales associates actively assisted other customers to fitting rooms, my daughter was pointedly denied the same service and singled out and insulted! * Invasive Violation of Privacy: Most outrageously, an associate informed us that she would be required to stand inside the fitting room and personally watch my daughter dress. This is not only an invasive violation of privacy but a direct insult to our integrity as patrons. * Hostile Physical Interaction: The two associates physically snatched the dresses out of my daughter's hands, stating she was not permitted to try them on. When I intervened to ask for an explanation, the staff alleged that "people break the dresses"--a clear and insulting generalization. I informed her that we would be purchasing all dresses.. * Verbal Abuse: We were yelled at and repeatedly insulted. When I finally advised the employees that we were leaving due to their behavior, they laughed and told us "Great!" When I told them they should be ashamed of how they speak to people, they simply smirked and immediately began welcoming other patrons to try on the merchandise right in front of us. It is clear that this staff operates on a system of prejudice, judging the value of a customer based on appearance rather than merit. I assured the staff that I was prepared to purchase any gown in the store, yet they chose to prioritize harassment over a high-value transaction. To Management: You have a significant liability in your current staffing. By employing individuals who lack basic professional decorum and cross the line into racial profiling, you are alienating high-value clientele and damaging the reputation of the Hard Rock brand. Now, upon reading other outrageous reviews on the actual quality of your merchandise, your customer service is equivalent to the quality. Sub-par at Best! To the Public: I strongly advise against patronizing Lux. There are many luxury boutiques that treat their customers with dignity and respect; unfortunately, this establishment is not one of them. Stay far away! See other reviews as this service seems to be "business as usual " I wish there were negative stars!
