Three and a half stars.
We spent 5 nights at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and used the pool once.
There are six pools to choose from here, and this is the only one with slides. We tried a few different pools on the property.
This one is located right next to the lagoon, and is accessed through a gate via your room key. There are no lifeguards on duty but there are employees stationed all over, who will quickly remind you that there are no floating toys allowed in the pool- except for life jackets and arm floaties: none of which are available to rent, only for sale at the ABC store. For all of the money making schemes they have on resorts, it's mind boggling they don't offer that at the pools.
Anyhow, the pool was perfect for kids and families. Older kids and seniors would not enjoy it (unless just laying by the pool). It gets crowded and noisy, and is a blast for kids. The slides are a big attraction. Note- you have to be at least three feet tall to ride the bigger slides. Smaller keiki can go down one that's about 15-20' long.
The pool is shallow, I believe the deepest end I saw was 5'.
The pool has a great view of the lagoon as well as the beach. read more
