Twisted Indian's Instagram account recently followed mine. It went one step further by offering my…read morea coupon. If I bought a wrap and a bottled drink, I'd get another wrap for free. I like a good deal. It was also brilliant to grab my attention with it. I had to check out this business. It's a franchise across the greater Toronto area. Yesterday, I had an order to pick up in Vaughan. I did a search and found this Twisted Indian location a twelve-minute drive away. Perfect! This eatery is located in a plaza that is anchored by a Walmart superstore. Halibut Fish and Chips is a few doors down from Twisted Indian. I parked in an available spot and headed towards the door. I saw a sandwich board that had the same deal as my coupon. I ended up saving my coupon. I walked in. There were a couple of men chowing down. There are a few tables and chairs to sit down and eat. A friendly, helpful woman said hi. I reciprocated. I said that I wanted to get the free wrap deal if I bought one with a bottled drink. She nodded. She was so patient with me. She explained every ingredient that she had by lifting the covers off and sharing what she had. It was an incredibly thorough process. I appreciated it. The idea is that for each wrap, you choose a starchy base of either rice or potatoes. You can add whatever veggies and sauces that you like. You do need some protein main. What caught my attention was this woman saying keema to me. Keema curry is my favourite. It's generally minced beef with peas and a flavourful curry that isn't extremely saucy. I was in heaven! It's not terribly common as a curry main. I don't even know that she had rattled off afterwards because I knew that I wanted keema. I got the following wraps: - Butter chicken with basmati rice, pickled onions, veggies, and mint chutney - Keema with brown rice, pickled onions, veggies, and mint chutney She did a great job making the wraps. I got to see her grill them before she packed them up. She asked whether I wanted the wraps labelled. I said yes to labelling one of them. She labelled the butter chicken one. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and tipped because she was so patient and helpful. She packed my wraps up in a paper bag with napkins. She handed me my cold bottle of Diet Pepsi. I thanked her and wished her a good night. She reciprocated. I headed into my car and had one of the wraps for dinner. Out of the two wraps, the butter chicken one had more sauce and would likely get soggy if I had it the following day. I had it first. I loved this wrap. The woman was generous with all ingredients. The butter chicken was flavourful with a bit of a spice kick that I enjoyed. The juicy morsels of chicken worked well with the rice, chutney, pickled onions, and veggies. The wrap held everything together. It was delicious and filling. The Diet Pepsi washed everything down nicely. It was cold and yummy. I had the keema wrap for breakfast this morning. It heated up nicely. The curry was excellent. OMG! I could eat the keema made here every day. The minced beef was perfect with peas in every bite. The brown rice worked well with the veggies, chutney, and veggies. I was happy. I felt so fancy eating good food to start my day on the right track. I'm so glad that I got introduced to Twisted Indian. I look forward to returning to try more wrap varieties and get another keema wrap. (216)

Let me start with this. This is the first competently gluten free Chinese restaurant I have been…read moretoo! I was not disappointed! I don't give five stars out easily. I give it to restaurants that go over and above. In this case, it is a specialty restaurant that caters to people who live with and without celiac disease or wheat/gluten issues. Today, I started with the pork spring rolls. They were quite large. They were served piping hot and were delicious. The texture reminded me a lot of South American corn and tapioca style breads and breading. A large focus on tapioca starch which works very well in the spring rolls. I also ordered the back pepper beef, and the garlic black beans. I had no idea of the abundance and freshness of the food. Also served piping hot. I barely got through either of the dishes. At this point, I realized that one dish would likely be enough and I likely had enough food for a small family. Excellent value. I'm leaving with enough food for dinner as well. The place is clean, the staff is very knowledgeable, and everyone is very friendly. So, value, excellence of food and taste, ingenuity in creating foods that aren't usually available, while maintaining a close relationship to the original. Well done. Five stars. Bringing home frozen food as well for my wife and some.

I know our kosher choices in the…read morecity are slowly growing, but these guys are really giving it a go with something very different, and need our support. They are also very customer centered, sadly a trait missing from other kosher options. For our first visit we sampled mostly from the indo-Chinese menu. The Manchurian stir fry (came with rice) was tasty but could have used a bit more curry. The chicken pad Thai was good but the flavor was not classic pad Thai, more of a tasty Asian brown sauce. We tried the combo Indian appetizers which I think would have been tastier right out of the fryer and blotted a bit more (takeout fried food is always a challenge!) But I still enjoyed the offering I'm looking forward to going back and trying the straight up Indian menu. I'll also take advantage of their weekly FB specials! Such a treat to finally have that option in our city!!

Of particular note is that when I was there, there were a few clients of middle East background. They did not seem to know anything about kosher, and were highly critical of everything and refused to pay. They were clearly trying to agitate. The amazing thing is how the owner treated them with great patience and dignity. I will definitely be going back. Amazing.
