Place was good, had good food but my waitress was slow in picking up our plates or checking in. She needs to be more productive and attentive. Thank God we were in the middle of a shift change, we then got Juan as our waiter. He was very active and productive. He is fast, attentive, polite, friendly and very helpful. This place just opened, they completely remodeled the place (used to be hometown buffet) it feels more open, it kind of looks like a Golden Corral. But in my opinion, it has less variation and fewer options. There is a total of 5 sections. - Dessert station - Sushi island (has a tip jar) - Personalized noodle section (choose what you want and they cook it for you)(also has a tip jar) - Salad/ fruit island - Hot foods section (including soups and meat section - it's one long buffet line.) They offer senior discount everyday. They also have tea and coffee as an option with purchase of drink. Not sure if they're understaffed or staff is lacking some training, but we had quite a few plates stacked up for a few mins at one point. Food was lacking, so much so, that I'd say the best thing I had was the fresh sushi and my salad. They had a huge variety of sushi options, baked/fried salmon rolls, dragon/caterpillar rolls (eel), spicy tuna / rainbow / tempura / and veggie rolls (a few others didn't know the names of) and a variety of nigiri they also provide chopsticks if you want them. First time customer with bad experience. Just walk in & out. This placed needs better management and better attitude. The front counter girl, did not provide a great attitude. First of all, I didn't see not policy posted which states , no drinks or food from out side. My son, was drinking his vitamin drink , due to his health conditions. The lady in front told us that she did not allowed no drinks, I told her that he can't leave it. She still gave us attitude. Yes, I understand it's a business still you can't talk to customers that way. I called the places to make a complaint and asked for the manager on site, which was the same girl in the front that answered and she hang up th phone. For a buffet it's actually really good. I've tried other buffets like this and nothing tasted fresh. The sushi is super fresh here and they have spicy Mayo and eel sauce too which made the rolls even better! The hibachi area is super neat, clean and I liked the fact you can also have rice noodles instead of chow mein noodles. All the food tasted fresh and the assortment of options was quite delightful. i usually love this place, but today it sucked. There was a nasty smell of cheese or feet/fungus in the seating areas. I couldn't tell if it was a person or some fungus growing somewhere? (My family and I checked and it wasn't us.) They kept playing hotel california over and over again, it was so damn annoying. I feel like putting a bad song repeatedly is almost a form of torture. Another day, there were extremely annoying little kids running around and screaming, while their awful parents & staff did nothing about it. My ears hurt so bad, I wanted to leave but I didn't want to waste money. The cheese smell was so awful i couldn't eat anymore. i hope it was just the people, but when the couple behind us left, the smell was still in our noses until we left the buffet... That aside, this place is great. Maybe i'll bring headphones next time??? Idk what to do about the smell though, ew. This establishment surprised me. I wasn't expecting such quality. It is a big, clean, well-maintained location that used to house a Hometown Buffet. However, the quality of food here is excellent. The meat choices are prepared with care and absolutely delicious. The sushi bar is respectable and featured such staples as tuna, salmon, and eel as well as an assortment of various rolls. The Mongolian BBQ station offers not only beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, and vegetables, but also two kinds of noodles and various types of oils and sauces to customize your dish to your particular taste. What stands out are the various Asian-inspired dishes. Unlike many "Chinese Food Buffets" that offer subpar fare, the choices here are expertly cooked and seasoned. To quote an old convenience store ad campaign, "too much good stuff". The staff are quick to take away finished empty plates and keep the tables clean. The manager has been very gracious and accommodating to us the various occasions on which my family has gathered there for birthday dinners. Quite a few local community organizations I know consider this their default luncheon meeting place. Regarding the bad reviews: One gave the place a single star for the sole complaint of not liking the music. What?!? Another complains that she wasn't allowed to bring outside food & drink in. Excuse me, but ANY restaurant will tell you the same! It's a liability issue! Have some common sense! The buffet is freshly remodeled , very clean and with kind greeting faces . This buffet has a huge variety of all sorts of food but I would say it's mainly revolving around fresh sea food and what I did find interesting is they actually have a part of the buffet where you can pick out fresh raw sea food and they will cook it right then and there . They obviously have your typical pizza , macaroni, mash potato , gravy , etc . What I did find unsatisfying from my experience is that the salad bar was a bit under-whelming due to the oddly sweet broccoli and the salad dressing (tasted a little cheap ). The jello was on par with the salad dressing it tasted too cheap and had an artificial dye taste to it (I could not finish it ) . The ice cream was a tad bit disappointing due to the lack of condiments . Your only options are crushed nuts or strangely looking chocolate sprinkles that resembled hamster pellets . The last two disappointing things were the cheese cake due to it tasting too cheap but still edible and lastly My waiter was M.I.A and due to that I didn't leave a tip . I almost forgot to mention they have a cotton candy machine !! . Overall I would recommend this Buffet . This AYCE Asian/sushi/Chinese/American/Mongolian buffet replaced a Hometown Buffet. Premises are clean, services excellent and the price is good for an AYCE buffet with sushi. The salad station was weak... But goes to an AYCE sushi buffet to eat salad? Lol. Sushi station was decent... No spicy tuna or eel or hand rolls, but what they had was fresh and tasty at 11am when then open. Yep, I was first in line. Got too full to try the cooked to order Mongolian but will next time. Clam chowder was a little starchy but tasty and lots of clams. Dessert station was no Vegas or Paris station but my Senior discount cost was only $14 plus a $3 drink with self serve free refills required for discount. I love dogs, and I have no issue with restaurants allowing dogs into them. (I am a Lazy dog restaurant lover) My only issue is when people bring in dogs and start feeding them with the restaurant's utensils and bowls or plates. We had this happened this weekend, and we brought it up to the manager, and the manager did nothing because they didn't want to confront the customer. I understand that they wash the plates. I own dogs, but I don't go around feeding them off our plates and invite friends over, and feed them off these plates. It's unsanitary. the manager wanted to give us coupons for another day like I wanted to come back to this place. This is bad for business. Excellent value for price. Decent service considering it's a buffet, too. 15 lunch 20 dinner per person, drink is extra but you get free refills. Weakest items were probably the shrimp/oysters and clam chowder. The other buffets nearby do it better. Dessert selection Decor is nothing special but it's clean enough. Bathrooms smell a little weird however , I'd say that's my biggest criticism of the place.
