Vayla's Gourmet Shaved Ice has to be our favorite spot for a frozen treat! It all started when my…read moreson became obsessed with snow cones because his school kept having a snow cone truck at events. So I looked for something similar at a brick and mortar location. Their shaved ice is basically like a snow cone and they have all types of different flavors. There's one that's really good called Rico Suave which has banana, coconut, condensed milk, and some other tropical flavors. But my go-to is mango with sour worms on top!

They took a while to order, and it was only one person taking orders, so there was a bit of a wait. I reviewed the menu, so I knew what I wanted to order once it was my turn. Unfortunately, the flavors are limited, so I opted for the Island Style snoball. The flavors were tiger's blood, pineapple, and creamsicle. It came with ice cream and condensed milk. I wanted a little more condensed milk, but it wasn't an option. While this wasn't my favorite snoball due to the limited flavors and customizations, I was able to get my fix.

Carlos (the head Zombie) brought a great array of flavors and the kids had fun mixing and matching flavors almost as much as the adults did! Zombie Ice was on time. The cart is so cool! He asked me for some pictures and the kids had a blast seeing pictures of themselves on the zombie cart. It then was time to blow out the candle. Of course we got a cake...Carlos made a hard packed snow cone that we were able to stick a candle in and my daughter blew out both the cake and snow one. The Zombie team was so easy to work with and followed up with us about the pictures for the cart. SO MUCH FUN! 10/2015 I love snow cones...shaved ice....zombie ice. This was only our second time having Zombie ice and we loved it again! They have the perfect size kid's ice. Service is quick and friendly. The halloween event we were at was crazy busy and the line moved quickly and efficiently. When we were leaving they were still crazy busy. The girl taking orders was quick. They take credit cards (which makes life easy) and text you the receipt...makes life even easier. Can't wait to catch them at their next location.

We ordered the Ube Mine, the Tokyo Drift and the Tropical Halo-Halo shaved ice…read more Pros: 1. The Ube Mine was delicious! Both the ice cream and the brownie were on point. 2. The server was very nice. Cons: 1. They charge a 4% service fee for credit card payments so bring cash! 2. They don't have any lids for to-go orders. So they stuff the ice cream in a styrofoam cup and I guess you have to reconstruct your halo-halo at home if you get it to-go. We're coming back to try the food but we'll order ahead and bring cash if we allowed to pay with cash for a preorder.

They have the best shaved ice that I have ever had! And both times we came to Key West, we went and tracked them down! Well, they shut down the storefront and are now in a food truck located on the beach, but they haven't been able to set up in their normal location bc the beach is a mess right now. So when we came to Key West this week, I knew what I wanted, but we have not been able to find them. So I found their phone number and I called them and she actually came to us! And it was the most incredible shaved ice experience yet again! They have the best customer service if you call them and they come to you! They definitely did not have to do that and I just would've had to live without it this trip. Thank you so much for making my Shaved Ice dream come true and for coming to us!! You have the best customer service and we will definitely call you every time we come to Key West!

Yes, you do it yourself so you can choose how much flavor to add and whether you want to mix them. It was light and refreshing, especially on a hot day. The lady that was working the truck was nice too. It is a food truck basically with the handles of flavor on the outside of the truck. It's colorful, and probably would be great to have at an event or sports field. I had the cotton candy flavor, it didn't taste a lot like cotton candy. It was good though. Good enough that I had wished that I got a large one and not a small! If I see the truck somewhere else, I would try some more.

We were walking around semi-aimlessly at the north end of Duval, and had actually just done a lap around Mallory Square and the cruise ship area. We were pretty tired from all the walking. Nothing charges me up as much as a bowl of Ice cream so we popped in. Service was nice enough, straight forward. We got just what we wanted(a snickers ice cream and a peppermint) at the price we thought we would get(a touristy price). It's not right on Duval so you have to walk around to find it. And it's not well marked so even better for the line. In fact when we got there I thought there would be a large line, it was perfect ice cream weather. But since it is not obvious to find, there was no line at all. If you needing a cup or a cone at the north end of the strip, it's a good quick stop.

Updating my review because this is not D for Dessert!…read more Still a great shaved ice spot for desserts and more in Hollywood. I came here after a beach day with my family as we were craving something sweet and refreshing. Since it was on the way home, it was an easy decision to stop by here. Parking is super easy as this is located in a parking lot with plenty of spaces. We got two of the bingsus-- strawberry mango and the earl grey boba tea snow. Both were so good and catered to different palates. I really loved the earl grey one because it came with lychee jelly which was an expected but pleasant surprise. The mango strawberry is a classic and it did not disappoint. The inside was clean and the staff was super nice. They also had cakes here and some specialty Asian desserts. A great spot for dessert in Hollywood!
