There's a thrift section in the back, and a big sale section near the try-on area. The sale section was stuffed full, so be sure to leave time and energy if you are on a bargain hunt. Some cute homeware decor in back as well, where I found a sweet little ceramic pinch bowl for $2.99. Friendly shop employee wasn't intrusive. There is a 3.75% recovery fee added on to credit card purchases, which ended up being an extra $6.75 (on top of my $163 purchase plus the local tax of 7.75%). I do wish the credit card fee was made more clear up front, or possibly waived over a certain purchase amount. There may have been a sign and I just missed it. Also, as stated on the receipt, *all* sales are final (not just the sale section).

I even included a tip upfront, as their website prompts you to do. The store only gives you 30 days to rebook or you completely lose your money. I contacted the store owner to ask for an exception to book outside of that 30-day window so I could plan a special occasion for my family visiting from out of town, explaining that I was initially unaware of the strict policy. The store owner flatly declined, keeping my money and the tip without providing any service. I feel completely taken advantage of and will not be supporting The Mayan Collective going forward. In a small community, every customer matters. Pocketing a customer's money and turning them away like this hurts the business and weakens community connections. I expected a much more welcoming and fair attitude from a local shop. Not only was my money pocketed, with no service provided, the owner also falsified the information related to this event.

I was immediately drawn to looking at their beautiful coffee table books and even purchased one. I perhaps was a bit oblivious because once we left all 3 of my friends (who were looking around the store) told me they were followed around by the employee very closely the entire time they were shopping as if they were stealing. I was horrified to hear this. Disgusting considering we were all very polite AND spent money here. Had I known at the time I wouldn't have made my purchase! Never left a negative review on here before but this was such a sour experience. Please do better!

Sign up for an "on-line account" and earn points for your purchases. The store is neat and clean, smells great and is well merchandised. The Associates are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Weeks prior, I visited this location searching for a certain "Wall Flower" scent refill. I was helped by an Associate, who came up with the Eucalyptus and Spearmint refills I was looking for. When I returned this time (to pick up a free "earned" reward) this FABULOUS Associate (Lydia) actually REMEMBERED me, as well as the scent of refill I purchased! NICE!
