Their library of handbooks and merit badge books is outstanding. And they keep up on new editions, as I found out with my Commissioner's Handbook bought 7 years ago. It was woefully out-of-date, so bought a new one. They also have "packages" for new Cub Scouts and Scouting America members. The right council, badges, neckerchiefs, belts, hats and even pocket knives for Cubs at Bear level. Parents do not get a sales talk, just factual info and a lot of assistance. And their stock of female scout uniforms, like skirts, are there for you. Camping gear is out there, along with sweatshirts, jackets and other outerwear. Nice people with nice stuff.

That may be due to the fact that a National Scouting Distribution Warehouse is immediately adjacent to the shop. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly and actively engaged in scouting themselves. From the store itself being in shambles to the complete and utter lack of customer service, six weeks later I still have vivid memories of how far Target has fallen from when I worked at the company. We needed something unlocked in Electronics and despite being in the area for over 10 minutes, there wasn't anyone around and there were no buttons to push to ask for assistance and instead had to find someone in another area who could not have been less interested in assisting us in connecting us with the person that could unlock this item.
