It boasts four baseball fields, a swing set, a playground, and my absolute favorite, the accessible swings. It's great because the accessible swings are located right next to a specific area of accessible parking. There are several picnic tables under a steel awning which would be great for family picnics. There is about a .6 mile loop that's easy for any level of leisure walking or running. Also on the property is a storm shelter, which in Alabama, you definitely need! Plenty of parking too!

The water was beautiful and the swimming areas are clean and fun for kids. The creamery doesn't allow pets inside ( i agree with that ) but when I joked with staff about having to leave my dog outside while I bought ice-cream they quickly offered her a Pup Cup of cream!! I was blown away! The open air train ride was fabulous! $1 per person one way or $2 round trip. They also allow your pet to ride with you!! The hiking trails were clearly marked and well maintained. I recommend bug spray as it is still very woodsy. The country store had essentials and souvenirs. We did not camp here due to the smaller camp sites and close proximity to other campers. We prefer the more open campground lay outs but would consider it during a less crowded season. The bath house was very clean! We plan to go back and attend trade days!

If you are looking for a darker campground, this is absolutely not the place. They have so many white lights throughout the campground at night it is blinding. I would recommend buying completely blackout curtains and hoping they darken the lights some.

We love this park!…read more We come during the summer to swim and river walk. We watch people kayaking in the river and tubing too. It is all free and refreshing! Parking is not simple, but we always mange to find somewhere. Wear river shoes though because the river bottom is rocky and slippery. It is a great place to walk for exercise too.

Two large party rooms you can rent as well as exercise classes to take. The sheriffs department is also connected so it's very safe. I'm sure I haven't done it justice but if you think it's something you would like, ride by and check it out. It's located on Highway 216 in Tuscaloosa county.

I just loved the water, it was so clear. reminded me when i was a small kid and used to play in the water at my grandma's house. I wish there were some blooming flowers there, it would have been so beautiful. The mill itself was closed, but we were able to walk around it and check it out. If you go to the park be sure to check it out.
