Then we decided to order "to go" the chicken bites and the Alpine Burger. They were delicious! The chicken bites/tenders (not the strips!) are homemade and freaking awesome. I got a side of honey mustard to go with. We will definitely come back. It wasn't busy, but it was a Tuesday night, so not a lot going on anyway. Very casual spot. Had a nice fire going. Cute, laid-back spot.

The catfish smelled old The fried food seemed like it had been sitting out for hours. The french fries were cold and rings were cold. I have never in my life tasted such disgusting food. Even the tea tasted stale the condition of the food that came out and the lack of cleanliness, the place should be red tagged. The service wasn't that great. The only reason I would give Creedence is because there was only two people waiting tables however there was only three tables in the restaurant occupied. The other patrons were playing pool in the back room so they're absolutely was no excuse to bring out terrible cold disgusting food. We are all shocked and the lack of quality old stale, not even hot food, and dirty surroundings whatever you do do not go there if you are traveling not to mention, but three out of our party of 6 ordered the catfish and all three of those people ended up sick later that night definitely not happenstance. It's all connected to the conditions of the restaurant nobody had any alcohol just water iced tea and the disgusting food. Fair warning if you don't want to get sick and or disappointed, avoid this location what a shame.

My partner and I recently celebrated our anniversary and went to Taos, New Mexico to check it out…read moreas we had never been. This was a must stop recommended by many people so we were happy to secure a reservation and dine there. Ambiance was nice, we enjoyed the warm lighting and how it was inside an old historic catholic church. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable as well. I will say- the food was decent but it was nothing extravagant or to write home about like others have mentioned in the past. A lot of items on the menu have like one or two ingredients that I feel throw the dish off, so it was difficult deciding what to get there. We ordered the cornbread, mussels, the trout and the bison when we went for dinner. By far my biggest complaint with the whole experience was the fact that it is a cash only establishment, with no ATM even available on the property. You have to drive beforehand to the closest Allsups and withdraw whatever you feel will be the most for the check plus gratuity. This really limits what you can/can't get on the menu depending on how much cash you bring. I personally do not enjoy feeling limited by that or having to do math at the table in my head to make sure I got enough to cover it all. This also makes people look at the menu beforehand maybe online to get a good idea before driving to said gas station. They say on the website it's because "By forgoing transaction fees, we can better support our employees, serve organic food, and boost our local economy." but in reality I believe it's because they do not want to pay credit card fees and whatnot. Their sister restaurant Manzanita (which we also dined at) was not cash only though which was odd if they are related, so something isn't lining up at The Love Apple. We still had the best time with each others company which matters the most celebrating a special occasion, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to tell everyone that they gotta go there when they are in Taos.

From the food items, my favorite was the mussels. Everything else was just alright. The bison steak didn't pack alot of flavor to me. It was still a nice night out but not my favorite foods.

Service: JJ, Kyle, Julie, Josue (sp?), chef team are the bomb. Kind and responsive. Great recommendations and welcoming, not pretentious. Ambiance: near perfect bar dining area. BFF and I were visiting the plaza and I wanted to eat linner somewhere different. As I researched restaurants prior to our trip, I found this gem and they have happy hour 7 days a week! After reading the many great reviews, we arrived approximately 15 min early prior to them opening as we were not sure how busy it would be on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived prior to the bartender but she showed up shortly after we did and took a seat at the bar!. Now, I genuinely do not like bar seating as I prefer a table, and they have one that sits 10 people but since there was two of us we did not want to hog up that much space. Our server was great and we started off with the brussel sprouts and elote corn ribs with red chile butter. Both were delicious and off the charts! I opted for the chicken sando and BFF ordered the steak frites. Both were delish and full of flavor! We also had a really good pinot cab. Our bill was a bit pricey for their HH menu (116.00 incl 5 glasses of cab total) but worth every penny! Ambience is totally cool, laid back, classy (but not pretentious) with a modern rustic flair on the inside. Will definitely be back if I am in Taos again!
