Talking to her made my decision to use RCT. The driver was professional and very nice picked us up on time in a beautiful van. It was clean and the long ride was very comfortable. She just saw his picture ( Jonathan ) in an ad and knew he was BIG and muscular and that this might work out. I am a 6' 3" man and I couldn't walk. I was very sick from a spinal infection injury. I needed someone strong enough to transport me from the nursing home to the MRI Center. The MRI Center did not have the capability to assist with a patient my height and size. Jonathan Williams, the owner, actually physically lifted me up and carried me to the MRI table ! When I finally recovered from surgery months later, I called Johnathan to transport me home. The staff is friendly and the NP Nicole Hawkins takes the time to listen to my mom's concerns in order to better understand and treat her condition. Working with us, patiently, to find the best plan of action for care, then being clear and transparent about what we can expect makes a huge difference between leaving the doctor feeling hopeful or frustrated and being dismissed (what we continued to see with IHA/Trinity Health). I also plan to set up an appointment with Blue Sky when I'm ready for my annual physical and have suggested to my spouse and adult son to do the same.

BEWARE OF STAR ...... I was in a local ER and transferred to…read morean ER attached to a hospital. The ER docs said I had NO CHOICE but to go by Ambulance. The ER called Star EMS for the Transport. Now, after insurance paid Star EMS, I get a bill from them for a balance due. I met all deductibles and out of pocket expenses after a major surgery in February. In discussing with BCBS, they stated that STAR Ambulance is "Out of Network" for BCBS. How can an Ambulance Service not have a contract with BCBS in Michigan, when BCBS is the largest insurer in Michigan. This is purely a MONEY GRAB by STAR EMS, as they know that with no contract, they can bill the patient for the difference. I would not have thought that you would have to ask the ER to call an ambulance that accepts BCBS. But I will in the future. I will also ask that they NOT CALL STAR EMS for transport in the future
