For my hubby and I, Kismet was the perfect setting for a romantic meal for two. I went for the Chicken Tikka Balti, which positively sizzled as it was delivered to our table. At just under £7 I found this to be really reasonable and I paid an extra £1 so I could get my hands on some lovely mushrooms. What a great evening, I only wish Kismet were closer to my home. The service was great, their fully licensed bar satisfied our needs and we came out wishing we hadn't driven. Kebabs are made of the quality of meat you would use at home (no nasty stringy or fatty stuff here), and come with griddled peppers and onions, a proper salad, pickled mild chili peppers and pickled turnips. You can add garlic mayo or chili sauce. Larger kebabs come on fine flatbreads rather than pittas. You can add a starter of houmous or the like if you think you can find room. Meat dishes come with jewelled rice or chips and salad. Moussaka is substantial and delicate tasting. Al Basha is run by a lovely and friendly family. I have eaten less well in expensive restaurants, and would highly recommend that you stop off here.

They offer a range of dishes so everyone will find something they like. None of our dishes were very spicy at all but the flavours were there.
