My car smells like it and I had to immediately get a shower at home. The service and food was terrible. When we sat down the bartender came over pretty quickly, and our first drinks but after that it was down hill. No one told us about their specials. We waited over 1.25 hour for our food. We also weren't asked for refills while we waited the only reason we stayed was bc we couldn't get anyone's attention to get our tab. (The place was mot dead so come on) It was obvious the food was made one meal at a time, apps came out with our food not first. When my food did come out the fries were were lukewarm. The sandwich itself was good but coming from f&b myself this was crazy wait times! We will not be back. We used to come here several times a week, and it's just gone down hill.

I wasn't excited about our other appetizer, though, as the fried asparagus was dull. My hamburger was OK but nothing special. I would have been happier if I could have ordered it medium rare, but they serve everything medium. My husband was unimpressed with the pulled pork sandwich. Also, the onion straws were awful.

You are now greeted in the vestibule by a host. The decor hasn't changed much, the charm remains. They use tablecloths and paper placemats, and while our placemats were new, the tablecloth had food drips and crumbs. We ordered ice tea that had the distinct taste of being brewed through the coffee maker. Sometimes thats just a hint, but this was overpowering. Their wings have always been a favorite. These were still a good size, but while they came promptly, they were not hot. They were extremely saucy, and almost gummy, none of their former crispness, and cold. It seemed as if they had been sitting around. Everything is now a la carte. We each ordered sandwiched and shared an order of fries. Their sandwiches have previously been really solid, the burgers especially, substantial portion on hearty rolls. Now they are on small fluffy "sub" rolls, which would be mistaken for a hotdog bun. My French dip was confirmed to have cheese, it came without. It was extraordinarily dry, tough, and not enjoyable. My husband's brisket was very small, and also dry, he was offered BBQ sauce. With the new menu and pricing, they also charge for each sauce and topping. The menu mentions it, and they enforce it. When the bill came, we were charged for the missing cheese, as well as BBQ sauce on the brisket, which seemed like a given but clearly was not. So just be aware that they mean it when they say a la carte, its not just a matter of sides being extra. I guess I expected to pay for sides, but did not expect sandwiches to be completely naked. We also noted that the prices we were charged differed from the menu prices. Im assuming thats an oversight and they will catch the errors. Another table ordered a steak that looked quite good! The cream of crab smelled good as it passed by. So I hold out hope that they will find their stride and succeed.

I was going to order a cider and the server could tell I wasn't so sure, so she offered a sample. I ended up liking it and ordering one, but love that they do that as an option! My friend and I wanted just about everything in the menu & decided to share a couple things. We started with the Poutine. It was good, but a bit light on the cheese curds and on the saltier side. Maybe on purpose cause we were in the bar area? lol. Don't get me wrong, we still pretty much ate all of it. Then we split a burger and opted for a side of Mac-n-cheese rather than getting more fries. The burger was tender and really good, and the mac-n-cheese was amazing! I can't really tell you why, just creamy goodness that hit the spot. Try it for yourself and see if you can explain it. We ordered some Ruebens to go and our teens devoured them! So sadly I didn't get a chance to sample the Ruben, just the delicious crispy homemade chips that came with. Already planning for next time we're up there - we want to some Pierogis & the Prime Rib panini. Just wish there was a Pierogi sampler on the menu!
