I always take people here when they want Mexican food in Portland. Vibes are authentic and their birria tacos and birria quesadilla they have so much flavor.

Birria Tacos
Nishalina B.

5/5 recommend! Open late. All tacos were well built, and very flavorful. Birria tacos were jam packed with meat. The fish taco had a chipotle aioli that was tasty. The shrimp taco had a spicy kick. And the pepper mushroom taco was my favorite; the cheese was grilled and the flavors were great.

VEGGIE Burrito! The rice is phenomenal! Love the fresh veggies inside too.

You can order Papi Chulo's and ask for it to be delivered next door to two wrongs. I ordered a wet burrito. I wish the verde sauce was spicy, but it was more sour than spicy. The filling was flavorful. I had veduras as my protein.

Such a fun and classic taco place. Many traditional options and great drinks! Corn tortilla with your choice of meat, onions and cilantro, classic and delicious! Their Birria is soo good and flavorful, i wish I had more! Quick and friendly service as well!

Came here late, about one hour before they close. Was going to try their burger for burger week but the Crunchwrap was pretty good! Tacos are always good here! Got a spicy mango margarita too, not pictured. Cute, cozy place for date night and with friends. Will be back!

The food was good, got asada fries (fries were a little too crispy). We got a margarita pitcher, the waiter was rude snatched up the pitcher and drinks before we were even done. I think they should have on their website that they take your drinks away at a certain time. The man told us and just came back like not even 2 minutes later and snatched our drinks. They for sure need to inform people before they place their order and the guy could've just been polite about it.

Order: Walking Taco w/steak Fritos add pinto beans & Mexican Coke Pros: This wasnt bad but in comparison to the nachos, portion and price wise, you get more getting their nachos. That said, I like that they are willing to try new and different things. Service was great today! Cons: You get a better bang for your buck getting the nachos. You get more meat, chips, and other ingredients. This also didnt come with cheese.

Iced Horchata

The Horchata may be the best I've ever drank. It hit the spot! The nachos were delicious, perhaps a tad too many jalapeños. The chicken burrito with green sauce was delish. Overall price point was good. We'll visit again.

This spot is next door to a bar so you can order either at the bar or go to the actual restaurant. Regardless, the food is fantastic!! The asada street tacos and the Birria tacos that I tried were amazing! The churros were the best I've ever had. Service is very quick but prices and a little high.

Really solid Mexican food restaurant in the Pearl. Whenever I walked by the smell always gets to me. I didn't stop by for tacos this time but their Portland Sandwich week menu item and it was worth it. Loved the buttery bread and it was stacked with roast pork, avocado, tomatoes, cheese, and sauces - if this ever comes back be sure to come order this as well since it was only $10 and was so filling. You know it's a favorite regardless because it was busy all evening and people picking up their order. I'm usually picky with my horchata as well since it can sometimes be too powdery but I enjoyed their horchata and it was great to pair with the savory sandwich.

Baja Style Fish Taco & Birria Tacos

Best Birria Tacos in Portland! If you're looking for a fun and laid-back atmosphere, this place has it all! From the music to the food, it's a solid 10/10! Definitely check this spot out for the tastiest Baja-style fish tacos, Birria tacos, and piña aguas frescas.

Very good Asada tacos, you can tell they use good meat and the yellow corn tortillas set it off. Also had the Birria Quesadilla. Very good but nothing too special. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely eat here again.

This is my go-to taco spot when I'm in the downtown area. Their tacos always hit the spot, the ensalada bowl (with camarones) is also another fan favorite (it's me I'm the fan) and when it comes to recovery after a night out, their breakfast burrito always cures. Everyone here is so awesome, super friendly and fast service. Plenty of outdoor seating and it's central to some of my other favorite places in The Pearl.

I tipped generously assuming the food was going to be excellent. We ordered 2 Langua tacos, asada burrito, carnitas burrito and a carnitas quesadilla. We were told that it would be about 15 minutes. The space is right on 26, so fairly noisy. There were a few tables an available. The food was ready on time and we went home. I cut the carnitas burrito in half for my daughter and found 2 large bones. My other daughter, who ordered the carnitas quesadilla, found a bone as well. The carnitas itself had good flavor but an abundance of grease was an issue. The asada was pretty good and balanced with the beans and rice. The Langua had some spice to it and was flavorful and tender. The tomatillo and spicy sauce were great. The burritos were mislabeled on there boxes (asada was carnitas and vise versa). Pretty disappointed and hope this occurrence is not the norm.

Parking was a little tricky but o opted to park off street and walk. Looked like it was a popular spot. I ordered some tacos and waited maybe 10 minutes. The place itself is clean. There is a large menu on the wall and the ordering process was simple. Unfortunately, they did not have margaritas. The tacos were plated beautifully. Everything was fresh, I wish they were a little more flavorful. The sauces helped. My tripa tacos could have been less chewy. I also ordered lengua and it was by far the best. Their could have been a little more meat on all of them. They did have an option to do that for an additional fee. Tacos were priced at $2 each.

I was excited to go here as I had been meaning to visit for at least 6 months. I wasn't disappointed. This taqueria is the real deal, and very authentic. I also appreciate it's LGBTQ owned, and like to be inclusive in how I spend money. The tacos are amazing I had two there, and took two home. They were all delicious and not one disappointed. Their taco menu is very extensive, and it's nice that they have a lot of vegetarian options as well. One of my favorites was the one with mole ,and poblanos, also the chicken one, also the carnitas. Flavors so rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Extremely quick service which I love. Even though I only speak a little bit of Spanish. I tried, and they were very welcoming. They are fluent in Spanish. I knew it was an authentic taqueria when I heard a native spanish speaker speak Spanish at the counter. I don't want to leave out their drinks as they have quite a selection both alcoholic, and non alcoholic. I tried the horchata, which was amazing. I have been craving Pozole for a long time, and they had it as a special chicken with green sauce, and pork and a red sauce. Both simply amazing and a great deal. This restaurant is very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for the money. Last but not least I can't forget the ambiance which felt very authentic, and reminded me of being in a Taqueria in Mexico or Southern California. the place is decorated very thoughtful with a lot of candles, and many shrines. They also have a love of Mariah Carey and saw many photos of here in the restaurant. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating. A lot of plants outside which all seem very happy and well cared for. I love this place, and will be going back for sure. The place is very casual which I appreciate. We almost didn't, because we have been let down so many times trying to get good Mexican food. Maybe that is the way to try out something new, with very low expectations. In this case, it really worked. We got chicken burritos. I confirm also that it is chicken breast, and it is grilled. Wow, it's crazy good chicken, so much flavor. This is as good or better than El Jefe. The burrito was large and I finished it all. I think they forgot to add in some of the things to have everything included but even with that it was still the best burrito we have had in PDX. I think it was missing cilantro, pickled onions, sour cream and maybe cheese and still it has so much flavor. Can you imagine how good it could be. We will be back. They use whole peruvian beans, that's a nice touch. Good salsa too. No Jamaica. It would be great to list the Beaverton loc on the website and list phone numbers. We really wanted to try it, but thought it was closed. I'd like everything to be hotter too. Everyone was friendly.
