In addition to books there are magazines, comic books, calendars, and puzzles. The owner is very nice and he's almost always the person working there. Like myself, he's a big history fan, and has given me several good suggestions when I've been looking for a new book. I would expect him to know a lot about books, but when I mention a title, he speaks about it like he's read it. He probably has. I've been buying books here for years. Typically I use Amazon to research titles and reviews, and then go to this store to buy it. It's rare that there isn't a copy on hand, and if not they will have it there quickly. These small bookstores are need to be supported.

There's only a handful of actual stores there, and most of the brands/stores they have on the sign outside aren't there anymore. A good chunk of the closed storefronts have signs still up, briefly giving the illusion the mall isn't so vacant. The outlets I did go in really didn't offer much in the way of variety or discounts. I was there mid-day on a weekday and the space with the mall offices was dark with the lights out, they weren't even keeping the mall offices open and staffed apparently. The place is starting to look falling apart and decrepit. There are no real food options at this mall. No food court, no restaurants. . .just a McDonalds next to the mall. I wonder what is even keeping the place open, there's no way that with just a handful of stores this place should still manage to even stay open.

It's been open less than a year, but the rustic downtown location makes you feel like you've gone back in time 40 years. I had no idea exactly what or where it was. Then one day this summer I was walking out of a downtown bagel shop when I was drawn to the sound of great music filling the street from the next block down. It's got a very comfortable feel. At least in part because they have a couch! The couch sits behind a ew rows of chairs that all face a small stage at the back of the store. The owner's connections allow him to bring in a wide range of artists that wouldn't normally come to Owatonna to do an intimate show. A couple other locations have been used when a larger venue was need. Thursday nights are a sort of 'live mic' when anyone serious can perform for free This is a really cool place that's worth checking out.

It's a smaller location but they make great use of the space. Large TVs line the walls and no space is wasted with the appliances on the floor. They seemed to have all of the popular brands. The few prices that I noticed seemed to be similar to online prices, and it's nice to actually see and touch before you buy. I haven't made up my mind yet but I'm sure I'll be back, at least for a second look.

The girl was cool though. Autozone dudes literally wouldnt listen to me. I bought a battery from them for my Audi. I left my car running due to bad battery and i didnt wanna change it in the parking lot. Asked one of the guys to clear my error code for the MAF sensor i replaced a couple months back. Dude ran my codes, and told me basically what i asked. I repeated myself. Then I asked for a jump or battery charge or swap my old and new batteries out since dude shut my car off without even asking me. The 2 boys literally sat there and said they couldnt touch my car, they apparently dont have wrenches at Autozone. They told me they didnt have the proper tools and my Audi would never start again if they did anything with my battery! I changed my battery with a damn wrench yesterday. And then my buddy told me i could get money back by returning the old battery, those dudes did not tell me that! OReiliys is always good about parts, helping, advice.
