I love this place. They're a small family run business that began in Germany about 150 years ago…read more They process and tan animal hides, as well as make excellent leather clothing and accessories. Gloves, mittens, vests, duffels, messenger bags, etc. This location is where they do their retail business and leatherwork. The hides, thankfully, are processed at a different location. For years I knew them as the Uber Glove Company. It's possible that it still is, and Century Leather Products may just be their web presence. The quality of their work can't be beat. I had a pair of their mittens for over 20 years that I replaced this winter only because I lost them. They have a tanned leather palm and black fur-like back, that make them look like bear paws. I recently went there to buy some slippers and saw that they have an all leather version of these mittens. I was so impressed with the look and quality, that I bought a pair of mittens in the middle of May. The person I spoke with was extremely nice and the prices are reasonable considering the workmanship involved.

In addition to books there are magazines, comic books, calendars, and puzzles. The owner is very nice and he's almost always the person working there. Like myself, he's a big history fan, and has given me several good suggestions when I've been looking for a new book. I would expect him to know a lot about books, but when I mention a title, he speaks about it like he's read it. He probably has. I've been buying books here for years. Typically I use Amazon to research titles and reviews, and then go to this store to buy it. It's rare that there isn't a copy on hand, and if not they will have it there quickly. These small bookstores are need to be supported.

We've used Paffrath twice now for our engagement ring and wedding bands, and I'll start off by…read moresaying there's a reason we came back for the bands. We wanted to build a custom engagement ring and working with Paffrath was not only an amazing experience, but the result was stunning. Not only that, but very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend if you want to build a non-traditional ring, use Paffrath. The turnaround on the engagement ring was only a month or so, and it'll be about the same for the bands as well. From what I've heard from family dealing with big jewelers in the cities, I feel like I should send everyone down to Paffrath. You'll get what you pay for and more. Can't wait to see our bands :)

My proposal would not have been possible without the help of Callan Paffrath!!!…read more I went to 4 jewelry stores to get a feel for the process of this large commitment.. and the 4th was the biggest blessing i could have found. The owner, Callan, I feel is one in a million who truly cares about each & every customer. We sat down and went through my entire checklist and her custom that she made turned out better than i could have ever imagined. Pricing was beyond reasonable, she stuck to my budget and all recommendations she made were amazing. My wife gets compliments on her ring every day- i tend to think she loves it more than she loves me lol. Anyway if youre looking for an amazing jeweller- this is the place to go.
