She coached us through the entire process, bringing up all kinds of details that we just hadn't thought of. She was so thorough, making sure every little thing was the way it should be. She allowed us to relax at our wedding, and the week before and after, which was invaluable. The thing that is a lot different about Dean than other wedding planners I've experienced is that even though she is meticulous and totally on top of everything, she is ALSO laid back! She is fun to be around, and ends up being a charming asset at your event, all the while ensuring that absolutely everything is exactly on schedule. She is really good with all kinds of people, so if you have difficult guests, she will handle it all like magic. She's open to all types of events and weddings and is very creative and fun. Dean has skills in a lot of areas (she's incredible with interior design as well as fashion) so you get a lot more than just a coordinator--you get a creative helper/advisor. I can honestly say that I was able to relax and not feel stressed out on our wedding day, and I owe that mostly to Dean. She is organized, reliable, super creative, and extremely talented. Did I feel stressed out at all during the wedding planning? Of course. Did Dean feel like a life saver at various points during the process? Absolutely. She is very calm and collected, and constantly provided me with the reassurance necessary; every time after I talked with her (which was often), I immediately felt at ease and my stress levels lowered. Knowing that she was on top of everything alleviated a lot of pressure for me, allowing me to enjoy the engagement more. She is also really crafty and able to work within a budget. The event ended up needing to be planned quickly, and let me tell you, it did not look like it! Despite my reaching out so last minute (indecisive bride), Eru was incredibly professional, accommodating, organized, and creative in her approach. It felt like she was really on my team as she took my requests and created a few different options and price points for me to choose from. And she asks great questions! She asked so many questions that I hadn't considered or budgeted for, and it helped clarify what exactly it was I was looking for and how to execute it. It really was better than I could have expected, time crunch or not. Thanks to The Event Mexico, we had the wedding of our dreams!!…read more When my husband and I decided to get married in Puerto Vallarta, we were a little worried about how we would be able to plan the wedding from a distance, especially for a group of over 100 guests! We live in Chicago and it was hard to research/contact hotels and vendors in Puerto Vallarta. We knew that we didn't want the typical hotel package for our wedding (and we definitely didn't want to pay the typical tourist rates!!), so we needed some help from someone on the ground in Mexico. Lucky for us, we came across the opportunity to work with Jeniffer and Rebeca at The Event Mexico - they were absolutely wonderful!! Most importantly, they helped us create our perfect wedding while staying well within our budget. They negotiated incredible rates for us with the hotel and all the vendors - we would not have been able to afford our wedding without their local knowledge, contacts, and negotiation skills. A lot of hotels have an onsite wedding coordinator for destination weddings, however those coordinators are often unable or unwilling to customize the wedding details. They usually offer a couple of packages depending on what you can afford, but they don't work with you to pick out your perfect centerpieces, flowers, dance floor, rehearsal dinner set-up, etc. Jen and Rebeca took care of ALL of this and more. We got everything we wanted on a very limited budget. Another reason I loved working with Jen and Rebeca was the rehearsal dinner. At our rehearsal dinner, many of our guests asked me "how is the wedding going to be better than this??" We had a BBQ on the beach with miami style lounge sofas, lantern lighting, and latin lounge music playing in the background. It was such a great party and precursor to our wedding, which of course exceeded everyone's expectations. I can't say enough about how amazing our wedding was. So many of our friends and family are still talking about it (6 months later...). Everyone said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. For all of this and much more, we are forever grateful to Jen and Rebeca... Thank you for making our dreams come true!
