They have a whole wall to choose from with an abundance of different designs, and your final price is based on which piece that you chose. My heart shaped mini pot was $22. In the three times I've been here, the designs have switched out often, so there's always something new to paint. The color chart is also super helpful and you can use an unlimited amount of colors (not that you need that many to complete a ceramic anyways). After you're finished with your design, you wait 2-3 weeks while they glaze and fire it. Then, it's all set and you get to use it forever!! Truly, this is such a fun date night or girls night activity!! I've been with a bunch of different people, and it's always a fun time!

When we finally asked for help, one person admitted he didn't know what to do because they had barely run this class before. We weren't given mixing sticks, so our soap hardened while we waited and had to be reheated for another 15 minutes. They also had no drinking water, no bags to transport the finished soap, and would not let me place my purse on one of the many empty chairs even though it kept falling onto the dusty floor. Staff spoke to us only about three times, for less than a minute each. The entire class was disorganized, poorly staffed, and absolutely not worth the money.

On Valentine's Day my boyfriend and I did the tufting experience. We were a part of the first…read moregroup upon the establishment opening. Definitely go early if you can! Great date idea! The instructor we had was extremely rude. She had brownish reddish hair. This made the experience high-pressure and felt like we couldn't really ask questions because of her attitude & rushing us. Especially during the demo. Her service was not good making the ambiance hard to enjoy. Once we sat down to tuft our own rugs. The Tufting itself was tedious, but once you get into the flow state, it can be very therapeutic. I'd rate my hands on tufting experience a five out of five. The demo experience was a two out of five. As time went on other instructors came around to give us some tips and tricks they was helpful. You get three hour slots. I do feel like it should be at least 3 and a half hours because once you get the hang of tufting, the instructors will come around to let you know what you need to fix periodically. I would come back, but probably to their other location in Bridgeport.This location Uptown was decent. You do get your moneys worth out of this experience far is the end result.

The owner, Robin, and one of the other employees were fantastic at leading a group of 21 first grade girls through painting a mermaid tail (there were so many choices for the canvas painting - my daughter happened to choose this one). They can do them more or less complex based on the age group of the party. Robin was truly fantastic to work with. She took care of everything, including ordering pizzas from elsewhere in the mall. I brought the paper goods and cupcakes and everything else was handled. We were in a party room in the back that is utilitarian but also decorated. I definitely appreciated that there were separate tables for the art and the eating! I was perfectly happy to not be out in the front of the store with the general public. And the price was totally reasonable given everything that they did for us. Would definitely host another party here! We've also come on a random day just to do a walk in ceramic painting, which was also great. Lots of selections at all sorts of different price points. You can also do walk in canvas painting.

They get high ratings, they're located conveniently in a mall where if you have youngers you can go to the playgrounds in the mall, and if you have olders, they can walk around and do a little independent shopping. If you are looking for a space to create art, build something interesting, or just have fun with no pressure, but all the BYOB filled relaxing fun and music with your friends look no further. Space itself is intimate, relaxed lighting, great music not too loud, and the owner who has been a high school art teacher for years, and creating art for longer, and her sons are kind and compassionate. I can see, how when the classes will offer children's coloring, woodcraft, and art therapy, that the owners will create a great experience for everyone. Can't wait to see what Artspace does next!
