We absolutely love Color Me Mine Schaumburg! Ali is always amazing and goes above and beyond to help us every time we visit. He is friendly, welcoming, and always makes sure we have everything we need. My 10-year-old daughter and I have been coming here for many years, and it has become one of our favorite places to spend quality time together. It's a fun, relaxing, and quiet environment where we can talk, laugh, and make memories while creating something special to take home read more

Color Me Mine is such a cute date idea! The prices are super reasonable, and I loved all the tools they had available. There were so many colors to choose from! I was a little nervous because the glaze looked so light at first, but when I picked up my piece a week later (which was super fast!), the colors were so vibrant and looked just like the sample. I made the Hungry Caterpillar, and it turned out so cute! The staff was also incredibly sweet and welcoming. I'd definitely come back! read more

I went here yesterday with an old friend to spend some time before I move states and it was the perfect thing to do. If you are a artsy or crafty person you would love it. It is very calm and private inside this shop! We had gone at a time that was less busy and we were able to get straight to the point. They have so many pieces to choose from to paint. They offer several colors and tools to create your vision. I would recommend planning before coming as the pieces you paint are left at the shop for 5-7 days to be glazed and finished. I will definitely be back! read more

it was a fun afternoon for us Golden Girls. we all went to ceramics classes weekly for several years when we were all newly married! We fell right back into it - with help from the staff! They were both very helpful & attentive! it was a fun thing to do to cure the winter blues! read more

I really enjoyed my time at Color Me Mine. I have never been to a paint your own pottery place and wanted to check this out for something different to do while my mom was in town. I was easily able to make a reservation through their website for an $8 studio fee. This held my reservation and was removed from the bill at checkout. Upon arrival, we picked out our pottery. Each piece was individually priced. Most ranged from $30-$50. After picking out your piece, you'll select from multiple paint options. They give you selections of various brushes and other items to help design your piece. It takes after you do it get finished. I'm excited to see what my piece looks like after picking it up!! read more

I had a blast at this place with my family! There were so many options to choose from and the employees always are on their very best mood. Especially Taylor. She was the nicest person I ever met and she always had a nice complement for my kiddos! If you are the manager or owner of color me mine, I suggest that you should give Taylor a promotion!!! read more

I love painting and I love Patriots! Color Me Mine is both. Paint-your-own pottery places are nostalgic for me: they were staples of of my childhood, so I'm thrilled to have found this gem! I had such a difficult time choosing a project because they had such a great selection. Luckily a friendly, smiling staff member was ready to help with suggestions. Highly recommend for friend dates, but obviously also great for groups of all kinds. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

It was a great experience for me, my mom and sister! I really enjoy coming here! came here in June of 2023 in the summer since me and my sister didn't have school and wanted something to do! Then this other lady was amazing too(fortunately i forgot her name) that helped us out in Dec. I would definitely recommend this place!! read more

Super fun to paint and had lots of choices! Only thing is when it got busy, took a while for someone to help. And prices are very expensive

I highly recommend this business because the owner is taking a stand for the truth. I will not tolerate the oppression that is being forced on this Country. I will take a stand against tyranny. Small businesses like this one is what makes Amerca great and we need more of them. I hope that you find my testimony valuable, I do not make endorsements like this lightly. #NCSWIC read more

Zero stars again. The owner states she wants her customers to "make their own choices " about masking and social distancing? Uh... no. It's a mask mandate for indoor places in the state of Illinois you ding dong!! You don't get to make the rules! Plus your place is miniscule and your employee was maskless and explaining all the rules 6 inches from my face!! Get with the program lady!!! read more

A great place to make something special, especially with kids. My son and I love taking time to create something one of a kind. Thanks for such a great time. read more

Went here in October for a family Girl's Day Out and it was a lot of fun! I had a hard time picking what I wanted to paint because there were so many cool option, but I ended up painting a mug/ice cream cup. I thought it turned out great and I was able to see what everyone else painted and those came out wonderfully as well! I was a bit disappointed about the size of the place as it did feel cramped because of the location; the one in Crystal Lake is much bigger and has a private party room away from everyone else. But, it's still a nice place regardless and the girls working there were really sweet and nice! read more

Awesome place to take children and create something awesome! The business has a great leader in Johanna, and the staff goes the extra mile to handle any issues that come up. Highly recommend. read more

Cute place to take the kiddos. It is a small location. We did get a bit flustered at first trying to pick a piece because there were so many options (that's a good problem) but also because the tables where were people were at are so close to the area where you chose your piece. Smaller tables would help w the congestion. Once we got painting it was fun. The staff was attentive & polite. I would suggest to management to monitor the temperature in the place. When were there I counted 25 people and it was warm out and the temperature in the place was set to 77. We'll see how the pieces come out when I pick them up! read more

My 9 year old daughter received a gift certificate to this location as a gift. The staff was friendly and explained the process. After she selected her piece and sat down to paint I couldn't resist joining in on the fun. I don't knit that much, but was drawn to the beautiful design on the yarn bowl. The two of us enjoyed a relaxing evening painting. My older daughter has attended a few birthday parties here and the kids love it. read more

Last November, purchased about 10 pieces and various paint vials to conduct a private party at a home, total cost was several hundred dollars. It required multiple trips to the store. On more than one occasion, the owner Johanna was rude to the extent I ended going to the Burr Ridge location to acquire additional paint to minimize my interaction. On one trip even my sister asked her if she had a bad day and she said she was tired from a party from the night before, but her attitude was an issue on multiple days. Her employees, Shea and Diego were great to work with. I will also say the pieces came out beautiful and in a timely manner. read more

So much fun to do as family night. One downside is the hefty price for simple things like bowls. I buy a bowl from different artists and it is less than $10 but to make one of my own with my amateur painting skills, it's about $30. Multiply that by several family members. BUT it is fun to do! Just ONCE a year, maybe two years for a large family. Had a really great time. read more

6/2020 We loved the painting. Fun picking out your own pottery. Staff was helpful and safe. The 3 of us enjoyed ourselves immensely. 2019 They had a blast. My daughter had her first visit the week before Christmas. She went w/her Girl Scout group. A bunch of crazy, energetic, excited girls. The staff was amazingly patient. A couple of us moms went back w/our daughters after the New Year. What fun! I think the adults needed more help than the girls. The 2 teenage girls on staff were so helpful and amazing! My friend and I didn't finish and they told us we could come back and finish our projects at no extra charge. I will definitely be back a bunch more times. Oh, and the 80's music was a definite plus!!! read more

Don't waste your money!!!!! The owner was very rude!!! The space is very very small... the staff was very nice! You could easily break something because there is standing room only if all the kids are seated.... did enjoy being pushed around! Not a good idea for a party over two. Garbage!!! read more

We love it here. Usually this is a special "mommy/son date day" for my oldest son and I. Today we went with my 1 year old and my parents for family painting. If I can give this location zero stars I would. Went in to get a gift card and had a coupon that was sent for $5 off $25 and I was going to get a gift card for Christmas. The women told me she can't do that and I said why is that not listed then all the other coupons in the book had that. They were all for the streets of Woodfield. I asked to speak to a manager and she said I'm the owner. Her and the other women proceeded to tell me it's only on bisque items (I guess the items you paint) and how they opened in July and are trying to keep afloat. All I have to say is that's not a way to do business by misleading advertising and then not honor it and have a terrible attitude and yell at someone. I said no problem I'll go to another location and walked out and I went to the Geneva location a week and a half ago and it was great!! Which is why I wanted a gift card because I live in the area but I'll never go to this location again. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OWNER! An update to my review after the owners comment below. What an insincere apology after the attitude I was given and her literally yelling at me. What kind of customer service is that? Yell at a customer now make it look like you are trying. Also I think it's funny how I was the first to review this store since it has opened and 2 days later there's a 5 star review. Seems a bit strange to me. However anyone that goes to this location I would be cautious about how rude the owner and associates are. I would not give this owner my business even if they gave me items for free at this point. I would not have even written this comment if the owner was not so incredibly rude and the attitude I was given. read more
