I'm sure this is a great hangout for locals but... We had to leave. The cigarette smoke was so heavy. Probably 70% of the establishment was smoking cigarettes. We sat down, waited 5 minutes, no service came to our table, so between that and the heavy los angeles smog we left. Started hacking as soon as I got out the door. First time and will never be the last time. In town for business with a coworker and a family member of his recommended the place. And let me say, it was not a disappointment. I doubt it could ever be. The all meat pizza was amazing and pair it with cold beers and great service, you'll never be disappointed. I'll be a regular when in town for work. Called in a build your own small pineapple pizza from here. The pizza itself was pretty dang good. If you like thick crust and dough then you'll love their pizzas. They weren't crazy on the sauce like most people overkill it. The pineapples themselves were super fresh and large. We called in this order and the pizza was ready ahead of the time promised and the person delivered it out to our car with a mask and gloves. Wouldn't hesitate coming back here. They have tons of happy hour offerings on their food and drink as well! read more

Been coming to Papa's Since we moved here from Vegas, always had awesome pizza..my go to pizza is jalapeno Canadian pineapple, always on point Service with girls are always happy go lucky never complained...But last nite was different, walked in around 630 not buzy, sat down bye the door bye garrison st. Not 1 waitress came bye to ask if we wanted something to drink..15 min's later my husband finally goes to bar to get us a pitcher...She brings it, doesn't bother to ask us if we are ready to order just walks awey... another 15 mins pass then my husband goes up to bar to order our Pizza, of course it's GOOD!!! We overnighted in a nearby hotel, and chose to order take-out pizza from this restaurant. The pizza was disappointing - thick crust, with perhaps the consistency of a very chewy/doughy cracker, with an average sauce and generous toppings and cheese. The mushrooms, I think, were canned/not fresh, and the cheese was bland and rubbery. On a positive note, the employees seemed very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere would have been conducive to a fun evening, cigarette smoke notwithstanding. The reviews which warn about the smoky atmosphere are absolutely true; if cigarette smoke bothers you, stay away from this place. Moreover, this place doesn't allow anyone under the age of 21 to enter, so even if you were to choose to pick up a take-out order, don't bring your children with you. read more

I don't, but everyone older than me tells me this with full confidence that it is true. So... I take it as gospel. This establishment is a hangout for business professionals in the early evening on weeknights -- they eat the pizza and drink a few beers. Then, the crowd changes to something else entirely. Papa's is also a place where the youth tends to congregate during Thanksgiving, winter break, summer break, etc.... It becomes crowded early in the evening and the spillover then disperses to surrounding bars. The drinks seem slightly overpriced by Fort Smith standards. The music often sucks. The crowds can get rowdy. But they have shuffleboard! read more

Since we moved to Ft. Smith in 2013, this has been our go to spot for pizza, wings, and drinks. It also accommodates my love of cigar smoking on days when the weather outside doesn't. If smoke is a problem for you, this not the place for you. There are plenty of non-smoking restaurants to choose from. If you order wings, ask for the dry rub along with the sauce. It's makes them mighty tasty. The Parm Special is our favorite pizza selection. It's stout and you'll most likely take some home. The staff are always friendly and check on us frequently. If you're a frequent visitor, they usually know what you want as soon as you take a seat, but they always ask just to make sure. We generally go early evenings and on weekdays and we understand that weekend traffic tends to be a younger, rowdier crowd. read more

We got a large pepperoni and then we got a trash can, I think it's called the trash can, or maybe it's the junk yard pizza? I don't know but whatever the name is, it's a delicious pizza! Nothing fancy about this place. A Good old fashioned pizza and beer joint. It's certainly got a pub feel to it and when the weather is nice there is a dine-in patio outback you can enjoy your pizza and beer on. While this is not the best pizza you're ever going to have it is always consistent. I'm a fan of the combination pizza and I've never had a bad one. They have a really good beer selection and a decent wine selection. Service is always good even when it's busy. Thursday and Friday nights are always busy. Be prepared to hunt around for a table or seats at the bar on both of those nights from 7-9. read more
