Upon entering, we felt like we were in some crazy Opry museum as we were instantly surrounded by old Country and Bluegrass memorabilia, costumes, and posters. To the left, a bar. Next to that, a ticket window... and deep inside the building there was a ruckus that sounded like an awesome seven piece country band. What we had stumbled upon was the first night of the new season of Second Street Live's music and performing arts schedule... as well as their first show in their brand new facility! What a score! Wine in hand, and half priced tickets purchased we sat down and enjoyed a wonderful show by Alseep at the Wheel, an amazing band whose played with the likes of Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and the like. We got tickets that were assigned seats and we purchased our tickets where we would have good seats. The day before they send an email saying the venue has changed and it's first come first seats!! The chairs had to be original chairs from when the building opened, hard as a rock, and they were sooooo close together you couldn't move!! Since we were all packed in there like sardines it was extremely hot!!! Preacher Lawson was awesome it's a same he got such a shitty venue and we weren't able to enjoy his show like we originally planned!! Since they moved the show we should of been offered our extra money back instead they make you pay more!!!! WORST VENUE I have ever been to!!

We were greeted by the owners and the staff for the evening, and given a few options for dining locations as we didn't have a reservation and they had a large group being sat just after us. We loved that had an opportunity to dine at a table in the "jail" section. The restaurant was packed but it still felt warm and cozy for our date night meal. We had multiple, fantastic servers taking care of us. I didn't get to capture the appetizer, the spinach and artichoke dip, but it was literally the best I've ever had and I even make my own! It was full of artichokes and spinach and it was in an amazingly light and fluffy white whipped dip served with fresh made breads onsite and pretzel bites from a local vendor. Our cocktails and wine were amazing. Then our main course arrived! One of our waiters was new and said the filet was the best he'd ever had, and he wasn't wrong! We travel often and dine all over, these filets were cut and prepared to perfection! We took his recommendation to add the blue cheese and blackened topper and it was phenomenal! The steaks literally cut like butter and melted in your mouth! Charred Pittsburgh style, medium rare and heavenly. Placed on a bed of mashed potatoes that blended in the warm blue cheese and asparagus, this meal made me feel like I was at NYC or Chicago's top steakhouses!
