Stopped in on the way home tonight. It was 7:42pm, the older lady said they couldn't take any orders because their oven was already turned off, points to the clock on the wall (which said 7:45), and said we close at 8. It wasn't 8. Before I got there I tried calling several times. But from what others have told me they stop answering the phone around 7. I guess if you want pizza need to get there way before 7pm. I understand people want to get home, I've been a server, a manager of a restaurant and we were never allowed to turned people away. Even dine in customers who came in 10 before closing. Let's talk about our newest favorite pizza spot in fort smith! Let's start with the decor, it brings me back to my younger years of memories of the great mom and pop restaurants! It's very warm and inviting! The staff are very attentive as well as informational about the menu and specials! Being that it was our first time eating here we had a couple of questions..& Miss Nancy answered them with a breeze! She really not only knew what she was talking about, but she took pride in explaining the menu! We found out that on Saturday's you buy one pizza and get one for free! And you can do half and half's with no problem! Now let's get into the salad bar! First and for most the lettuce was cute perfectly! They had a good variety of toppings and a couple us northerners aren't used to! And baaaby let's talk about the dressings! They all tasted home made! The home made western dressing made my whole experience here even more amazing! Now let's talk this places pizza! Holy Hannah Montana does this place's pizza holds the new top spot eatery for our family! It's reminded us of all Of our favorite pizza places from Florida to Wisconsin!! It has been my favorite pizza restaurant since I was little been going for almost a decade. There's really nice staff and its super quiet but it can be a little crowded on the weekends so try to go on the weekdays and I highly recommend the Gallic cheese pizza and pepperoni, Its a Amazing experience! We don't live in town but occasionally stop by Fort Smith to run some errands where there are good shops. We were looking for somewhere to eat, and we saw a commercial for Cavanaugh Pizza, and we had to try it. I've never tried better pizza. Pizza Hut is great, but this pizza tops every place I've ever eaten in terms of pizza. I've heard people come here from out of state to eat pizza, since it's so good here. Cavanaugh Pizza Parlour has the best pizza in Fort Smith! Their Pepperoni pizza with extra Pepperoni is our favorite. We order our pepperoni pizzas "with thin and crispy crust, with lots and lots of extra pepperoni, light on the sauce." It is absolutely the best! Using their "two for the price of one" coupons, we like to get one of our pizzas half Pepperoni (as above) and half "Hawaiian Delight." Cavanaugh Pizza Parlour also has one of the best salad bars in town. The price of their salad-to-go beats their competitors because they charge one price for the salad rather than charging by the weight of the salad. If you like pizza buffets, Cavanaugh Pizza Parlour has excellent buffets for lunch and dinner. They have a great variety of pizzas and they'll make whatever you ask. This spot never disappoints. Since returning to the area we had to do a family night at Cavanaugh and have the all you can eat. IF you have never tried the Hawaiian delight it is a must but I will say since being away they now have many other pizza's and they are all very good. Three types of pasta dishes went mostly untouched, figuring the locals know best - if they aren't touching it - then again, they also rated the pizza highly here - lesson learned. I set upon the central pizza counter. Not many choices to pick from when it comes to toppings. The 'taco' pizza almost resembled a tostada. Sadly, the canned enchilada sauce reigned supreme over any other flavor there on. Each pizza comes with its own flat/hard/dry/plain cracker crust. I'd call it matzo-like but matzo has flavor. Blech. I ate at this amazing restaurant tonight. The pizza was absolutely amazing from most pizza i've had. This cleanlyness was pretty clean for the most part and they even had some arcade games for the children to play on while waiting for your food. But there is one thing thats keeping me from giving it a 5 star... The waitress who waited us was very rude in my opinion, my siblings wanted to go sit at a different table across from us because it was very crowded. It's taken 3 times to write this!!! Grrrrrr. Yelp hasn't saved the 2 prior drafts. Anyway. I ordered 2 Med Pizzas for the cost of 1, a decent price of $16+ change. The pies were hot & ready when I got there and still hot when I got home. The Taco pizza was beautifully done but it was Too spicy for me & not sure where that came from, the Beef or Sauce...but probably the Taco Spice, so next time I will delete that from this Pizza. The Hawaiian Pizza IS a DESERT Pizza and NOT Savory like I prefer. Again, I will make a couple of changes to make the Pizza like I want a Hawaiian to be. Both were beautifully Thin & Crispy. We had a very poor experience went there at 1:30 and no buffet even though they say it is all day on tv . The pizza was small for larges the it had plenty of meat but it was nothing special tasted like pizza parlors with a higher price point .
