Amazing place for pasta and pizza. The one slice we ordered was huge. Left leftovers for breakfast. The pasta Alfredo was also huge. I added shrimp they did not cheat me with just a couple. I had shrimp in almost all bites. The salad with the pasta was nice touch.

First impression this is a darn good pizza, pepperoni sausage, meatball lots of cheese good sauce served hot. Definitely one of those pizzas that you shouldn't miss while in Galveston. They have plenty of other things to choose from honesty is very important with their staff. I will be back.

Saw this as we booked by on the Seawall. Love when a place sells slices. We ordered two slices of pepperoni. Pizza looked great. It wasn't horrible but wasn't the best. It was pizza. Each slice was $7.99. Two slices and a bottle of Diet DP was about $24. I should have ordered a small thin. Maybe next time. I will say the people they worked there were GREAT!! Said hi and bye to every customer. Location on the seawall is optimal for sure.

Food Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: n/a - did take out Value: 5/5 Great pizza shop on Galveston Island! We found this place while searching for food near our hotel and it was a great find! They have a good variety of pizzas and great options for crust and toppings! We ordered a few pizzas, a calzone, and sub - all of which was hot and ready by the time we came to pick the order up. The staff was very welcoming and kindly offered plates napkins and utensils for us without us asking. I recommend for anyone in the Galveston area looking for some good local pizza!

In Galveston because we leave for a cruise tomorrow. We decided to have some pizza for dinner and the place was close to our hotel. The service was great and quick. Friendly workers. The restrooms were rather dirty. Our food came out quickly but the pizza was super greasy which was a huge turnoff. We also ordered cheese bread and mozzarella sticks which were good looking but very bland. Flavor was definitely missing. The beignets were pretty good and soft. Greek salad was my favorite part of the dinner but the dressing was also very greasy. I'm sorry but I don't think I'd come back.

Everything on the seawall closes around 9pm so we decided to try Papa's Pizza as it's open until 12am. This was a great choice! The service was great, all the staff were friendly and ready to help. The cashier let us know all the options we had and was very helpful with our order. The vibe of the restaurant was super cute, with lots of tv's to watch sports, lots of seating, and cleanly. We ordered a pizza with half pepperoni and half Hawaiian, it was AMAZING. So fresh with lots of flavor and a generous amount of toppings. We also got the spaghetti with marinara and honey bbq wings, it was great and had a nice home cooked taste. Overall, 10/10 and we will be back!! Definitely give Papa's Pizza a try!

I used to love to come here all the time as a teenager/young adult. I would drive about 45-to an hour to eat pizza and wings. Well, I moved away and it had been 12 long years since I've eaten here and I gotta say it only got better. It's so clean. Doesn't look dated at all. They have a door greeter now. The food and ambience were amazing and chill. I love papas pizza so much, thank you to the owners for serving up amazing slices and keeping the nostalgia alive.

This was my first time visiting Papa's Pizza, and overall, it was mediocre. The service is quick, and you order at the counter, but the cashiers weren't particularly friendly. Ambiance: The atmosphere is loud and bright, with plenty of booths and tables. There are a few TVs, including a large screen that was showing the big football game. They call your number when your order is ready. Calzone: We ordered the calzone with pepperoni and sausage. The outer crust had a nice garlic flavor, and the Texas size was huge--easily enough to feed 2-3 people. However, the sausage inside wasn't very good; the flavor was off, in my opinion. Overall, the calzone was just okay, especially considering the decent price. Calamari: The calamari appetizer was affordable, but it wasn't great. The breading was plain and unremarkable, and the marinara sauce lacked flavor. Unfortunately, the squid inside was rubbery, making the dish less enjoyable.

Giant slice of pizza. Tomato sauce was excellent, not too sweet but hearty instead. The cheese has a nice toast to it, but not as cheesy as a Costco pizza. Guy at the counter was very nice.

We stumbled upon Papa's when trying to find a place for dinner and I'm so happy we did! The restaurant is pretty small but there's lots of seating. We were greeted quickly by the staff and handed us menus to look over. We chose to order a XL pepperoni pizza, wings, and cheese bread. Our food came out pretty quickly yet was hot and omg delicious! The wings had to perfect amount of heat and the ranch that came with it was tasty and didn't taste like it came out of a bottle. The pizza was equally as good with just the right amount of grease. Give Papa's a chance next time you're in Galveston.

Our food was fresh and delicious. Placed the order online and it was ready in 19 minutes. Wings were the star of the show. Highly recommend the wings. Pickup was a breeze and customer service was "excellent" according to my husband.

Huge portion sizes!!! The restaurant has take out or dine in. There are tables to sit at, but you do not get served. You just pace your order at the front and wait for someone to call your ticket number to pick up at a window. This location is right off the beach. Moderately priced. They take cash or card. When I visited they were extremely busy and it was hard to navigate the dining area. Definitely a family friendly restaurant.

We hadn't had food from Mama Teresa's in quite some time, but last night I saw a Facebook post from them showcasing their crab claws in spicy marinara. I happen to love crab claws and this post reminded me that Mama Teresa's had some good ones. Tonight's dinner from Mama T's: spicy crab claws and shrimp in marinara and a large pizza with extra cheese, bell peppers, and black olives. We're talking about some excellent eats here. Even our car Rudy approved of the shrimp (de-sauced by his mommy, me) and devoured all the pieces that I allowed him to have. Oh, about that sauce -- it's really good! The spice is bold but there's an underlying depth of flavor that indicates someone takes sauce very seriously indeed. I'm a big fan. While I thought the crab might've been a smidge over cooked (they were still quite tasty), the shrimp were perfection. Orange tabby cats agree! The pizza got a thumbs up from my husband who approved of the quality of the ingredients. That said, he wanted a heavier hand with the toppings and a little more tang in the sauce. I enjoyed it, but both of us wanted more rise in the crust and some char. Ours was a pick up order, but next time we'll dine in. Dan noticed that their draft beer selection was better than most, and the wine choices were okay, too. My take away - visit places that you've unintentionally put on the back burner. You'll probably be very pleasantly surprised. Eat and shop locally!!

I've gone down 61st countless times, but not once have I ever set foot inside this longtime Italian culinary institution. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ordered from here, either. Mario's was on my radar for the evening on Wednesday after I toured the new Ball High (Class of 2000). I failed to resist the siren song of the dinner buffet, which takes place every Wednesday from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. For about $17, diners could have their pick of the five or so pizzas in addition to entrees, pasta, salads, and deserts. I decided to have a slice of each pizza -- cheese, pepperoni, supreme, meat lovers, etc. -- since I was a newbie to the establishment. The slices were the usual hand tossed and not too thick. The cheese-to-toppings ratio was pretty even. Fortunately, I enjoyed each, so much so that I felt stuffed as I worked on my third slice. After pizza, I assembled a plate consisting of fried fish, potatoes, spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken pasta. My taste buds were continuously treated to straight-up Old World Italian deliciousness. I couldn't get enough of the fried fish and chicken pasta. It took me a while to finish the spaghetti because I was beyond the point of full. I had no choice but to forego the chicken masala and seafood rice pilaf. Mario's, which has existed since 1967, has the undeniable feel of an old school pizzeria. Guests can actually feel the warmth emanating from the kitchen as well as the staff. When dining in, be sure to ask for Wyatt. He'll make you feel right at home. Whitney is another person you ought to get to know also. I believe that a lot of my Wednesday evenings will be spent here.
