Every trip to Galveston gets me excited because I know I'll be stopping at Papa's Pizza! It's become a tradition at this point. I've visited with different groups of friends over the past months, and I always insist we eat here. Watching everyone take that first bite and instantly understand why I keep bringing them back is the best part. The pizzas are consistently fresh, cheesy, flavorful, and generously portioned. Every visit has been just as good as the last, which is why this place has earned a permanent spot on my Galveston itinerary. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and almost always buzzing with customers. Parking can be a little challenging during peak hours, but it's a small price to pay for pizza this good. The staff is friendly, hardworking, and keeps things moving even when they're busy. I already look forward to my next visit! read more

The meatball sandwhich was decent, but the gyro was the one I've ever had. The meat was burnt to a crisp with little sauce. Asked for extra onions, and barely got any. read more

My family stopped in after a trip to Moody Gardens and our kids were super hungry. We got an XL half pepperoni, half Papa's deluxe w/ two blue Koolaid smoothies & a pitcher of their sangria. Everything was 10/10. The crust was super crispy and the pizza extra hot and fresh. It had just the right amount of sauce & cheese. The customer service was great, and Davin was really sweet :) The view of the water was an absolute bonus. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend! read more

Great food! Great customer service, very polite and friendly. Explained the menu very well. Great staff! Food was delicious.

This was just what we needed after sitting on the rocks listening to music on the beach! We had to wait a little but the place was packed. One of the last places open on the seawall. Very limited parking but the pizza slices are huge and just 1 hits the spot. They also had desserts and drinks! 8/10 read more

Amazing place for pasta and pizza. The one slice we ordered was huge. Left leftovers for breakfast. The pasta Alfredo was also huge. I added shrimp they did not cheat me with just a couple. I had shrimp in almost all bites. The salad with the pasta was nice touch. read more

The hand tossed pizza was delicious and the Italian salad was good. They have Dos XX on tap and an assortment of other beverages in the refrigerator. The service by Vickie and other staff was appreciative. The ambiance is exactly what you would expect from a pizza joint called Papas that is located across from the beach. A good place to stop for a slice or whole pizza. read more

Food Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: n/a - did take out Value: 5/5 Great pizza shop on Galveston Island! We found this place while searching for food near our hotel and it was a great find! They have a good variety of pizzas and great options for crust and toppings! We ordered a few pizzas, a calzone, and sub - all of which was hot and ready by the time we came to pick the order up. The staff was very welcoming and kindly offered plates napkins and utensils for us without us asking. I recommend for anyone in the Galveston area looking for some good local pizza! read more

Saw this as we booked by on the Seawall. Love when a place sells slices. We ordered two slices of pepperoni. Pizza looked great. It wasn't horrible but wasn't the best. It was pizza. Each slice was $7.99. Two slices and a bottle of Diet DP was about $24. I should have ordered a small thin. Maybe next time. I will say the people they worked there were GREAT!! Said hi and bye to every customer. Location on the seawall is optimal for sure. read more

Ordered pizza 30 mins before closing this past Saturday. I was told it would be a 5 mins wait for a medium pepperoni pizza. Came back 5 mins later and it was not ready. Waited another 10 mins and they were confused with my order. Manager came out and said it'll be right out? Not sure what the confusion was there. The cheese on this pizza was the strangest I've ever ate. Not to be rude but this is probably the worst pizza I've ate. We should have ordered dominos or Pizza Hut to play it safe. read more

In Galveston because we leave for a cruise tomorrow. We decided to have some pizza for dinner and the place was close to our hotel. The service was great and quick. Friendly workers. The restrooms were rather dirty. Our food came out quickly but the pizza was super greasy which was a huge turnoff. We also ordered cheese bread and mozzarella sticks which were good looking but very bland. Flavor was definitely missing. The beignets were pretty good and soft. Greek salad was my favorite part of the dinner but the dressing was also very greasy. I'm sorry but I don't think I'd come back. read more

This is the place to go if your on a budget or want to feed a family and hop over for some Ben and Jerrys afterwards. Yes the pizza is greasy, but its pizza that's delicious. For less then $20 I was able to get some fries and a Texas sized slice of pizza. Before you say, "Rhiannon, does 1 slice really fill you up?" YES. Yes it does. I split it with my boyfriend and we were stuffed. They were really nice and gave us an extra soda on the house and even upgraded our fries to a large size due to us waiting for awhile (we weren't complaining) Go early for seating because this place gets filled up pretty quick. We came in around 6:45 on a Sunday and probably by 7:30 the dining room was getting packed. They do deliver so if you want to chill in your hotel room after a day at the beach, just kick back and wait for good food. read more

This was my first time visiting Papa's Pizza, and overall, it was mediocre. The service is quick, and you order at the counter, but the cashiers weren't particularly friendly. Ambiance: The atmosphere is loud and bright, with plenty of booths and tables. There are a few TVs, including a large screen that was showing the big football game. They call your number when your order is ready. Calzone: We ordered the calzone with pepperoni and sausage. The outer crust had a nice garlic flavor, and the Texas size was huge--easily enough to feed 2-3 people. However, the sausage inside wasn't very good; the flavor was off, in my opinion. Overall, the calzone was just okay, especially considering the decent price. Calamari: The calamari appetizer was affordable, but it wasn't great. The breading was plain and unremarkable, and the marinara sauce lacked flavor. Unfortunately, the squid inside was rubbery, making the dish less enjoyable. read more

I used to love to come here all the time as a teenager/young adult. I would drive about 45-to an hour to eat pizza and wings. Well, I moved away and it had been 12 long years since I've eaten here and I gotta say it only got better. It's so clean. Doesn't look dated at all. They have a door greeter now. The food and ambience were amazing and chill. I love papas pizza so much, thank you to the owners for serving up amazing slices and keeping the nostalgia alive. read more

No problems with the service they were attentive, nice polite As far as the pizza I got one slice of the meat lovers what a joke if you'd like to eat flour and the taste of flour this is where you need to go no Italian taste at all whatsoever. The pizza was hard way overcooked and kind of expensive now I know why the locals don't come here. It's definitely a tourist place on on the wall. read more

We stumbled upon Papa's when trying to find a place for dinner and I'm so happy we did! The restaurant is pretty small but there's lots of seating. We were greeted quickly by the staff and handed us menus to look over. We chose to order a XL pepperoni pizza, wings, and cheese bread. Our food came out pretty quickly yet was hot and omg delicious! The wings had to perfect amount of heat and the ranch that came with it was tasty and didn't taste like it came out of a bottle. The pizza was equally as good with just the right amount of grease. Give Papa's a chance next time you're in Galveston. read more

Huge portion sizes!!! The restaurant has take out or dine in. There are tables to sit at, but you do not get served. You just pace your order at the front and wait for someone to call your ticket number to pick up at a window. This location is right off the beach. Moderately priced. They take cash or card. When I visited they were extremely busy and it was hard to navigate the dining area. Definitely a family friendly restaurant. read more

The location is ideal, the food is immaculate and the views are amazing. And they are very friendly, definitely a 100 out of 10

Pizza was excellent. We ordered a cheese pizza and it was very flavorful and the crust was crispy and delicious. I would order again and again. Ordered a few desserts and they were disappointing. Brownies were cakelike and small. Canoli was filled with an overly sweet frosting, and the texture was grainy, inedible. IMO. Tiramisu was tasty but, not something I would be dying to order again. So, in review. Order the pizza but, skip dessert. read more

My wife and I stopped in for a "snack". We shared a "Texas sized" slice of cheese pizza, (which is large) an order of fried raviolis, and an order of meatballs. The food came out fast and was hot and delicious. We wish we could have a Papa's near us. Highly recommend Papa's! read more

Everything on the seawall closes around 9pm so we decided to try Papa's Pizza as it's open until 12am. This was a great choice! The service was great, all the staff were friendly and ready to help. The cashier let us know all the options we had and was very helpful with our order. The vibe of the restaurant was super cute, with lots of tv's to watch sports, lots of seating, and cleanly. We ordered a pizza with half pepperoni and half Hawaiian, it was AMAZING. So fresh with lots of flavor and a generous amount of toppings. We also got the spaghetti with marinara and honey bbq wings, it was great and had a nice home cooked taste. Overall, 10/10 and we will be back!! Definitely give Papa's Pizza a try! read more

The line to get in this place says it ALL!! We were blown away how nice all the employees were and how hard worked.. especially Marisol!! She is our fav.. hands down!! Now the food.. we have driven by this spot sooo many times because it was packed. Well, tonight we found a parking spot and walked in. Right when we walked in the lady behind the counter told us to grab a menu and go find a spot to sit and then come back up and order. We studied the menu and went in!! Started with fried pickles and wings.. the wings were awesome!! I usually get them with the sauce on the side so it doesn't get all up in my beard business.. dipped them in buffalo, then ranch then, down the hatch!! The pickles were even better. They use a different batter than everyone else and they were delish!! Now to the main course!! The wife got a thin crust Margherita pizza and she loved it!! I got the Muffaletta and it was huge.. the olives inside were ridiculous!! I guess the moral to this review is.. don't sleep on Papas Pizza!! It's packed for a reason!! We'll be back soon!! Also, they had the Stros game on!! read more

The restaurant has a real inviting old school pizzeria vibe. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with wings and garlic cheese bread. The wings came out first and had the perfect amount of hotness. The ranch dressing that came with it was very good and tasted homemade. The pizza and garlic cheese bread came out next. The cheese bread had the perfect amount of cheese and had a lot of flavor. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the crust was excellent. read more
