    Ax throwing

I went with my husband and son. We were looking for something to to do inside as it was cold and windy. We gave this a try and had fun! It was $20 a person for an hour. We got instructions and the coach watched us occasionally. He also let us try some other axes as well. It was interesting! Not something I desire to do often but we had fun as a family! I got a soda and we didn't eat so I don't have much to review for that.

This was a pretty cool bar / arcade. While in Galveston we stopped by for a drink. This place has two floors. The top being the arcade space with a bar. When we arrived there was a kid at the bar playing a video game which I thought was hilarious. I ordered a strawberry margarita and we went back down straits to sit on the patio and enjoy the weather. It's a nice place to grab a drink or play a game. They even have PAC Man.

    Smoked wings with buffalo sauce,yum!

This was my 1st time trying the food.My wings were amazing with a nice smokey flavor.I could eat these often. They have a nice selection of fun foods,I'll definitely be back to more items.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! It has the funnest arcade games and all you need are quarters. You don't have to stand in line and get tickets or anything. Downstairs they have the axe throwing which is $30 per person, but upstairs is where they have all the arcade games. Dance dance revolution is a personal favorite!! We haven't gotten food here, but they do have drinks which is nice as well. Super fun to go with friends :)

Fun bar with lots of games and axe throwing! The only bar that wasn't charging a cover during mardi gras weekend too. When we walked in, they were giving free samples of cheese pizza too! On the first floor, there's axe throwing, a huge bar with seating, and a small dance floor towards the back. Then outside the dance floor, there's a huge patio with and outdoor bar. Upstairs, there games ranging from guitar hero to dance dance revolution, as well as mario kart. A decent sized bar near the games, and bathroom are on this floor. Bartenders are very nice, even for an extremely busy night

Easily the coolest bar on the strand in Galveston! It's a bit hidden in the second floor of this building. There is a street stair entrance near the giant white trumpet statue. Or you can come through the main entrance up the elevator or winding stairs and hallways. Feels like you've walked into a secret treehouse fort filled with some of the best arcade and pinball games of all time...and they're free to play! You can also do some legit axe throwing or board game playing. They have so many drink options and all sorts of specials. Great place for all. Kids. Adults. Grandma. Entire families.

There's plenty of reviews on here about how amazing the ambiance is so I'm going to touch on the food and service. How has no one talked about how incredible the food and drinks are?! Yes, you walk in and there's axe throwing & a bar. Go upstairs and there's a giant arcade (free!!!) and another bar. Badass, hands down - no questions asked. Legit, the best bar on the island! The axes get all the spotlight but the true gem is the freaking arcade upstairs! Took us straight back to the 90s/00s- we're talking PAC Man, pinball, DDR, guitar hero, shooting games and so much more! ALL of the employees are so nice, welcoming, helpful and let's just say badass. They all threw the axe like a pro! The place had a few parties and the bartenders were super hospitable. Okay, okay now the somehow overlooked food review. Seriously, how aren't there more pics of the food? It's amazing! We had the potato nachos, chicken bbq pizza, wings, and a burger. Seriously, every bite was delicious! So flavorful and unique. The potato nachos, I forgot the cute name they had for them, were so uniquely delicious! They were like loaded bbq baked potato but deconstructed in a nacho layout. Cool and delicious!! The beef on them was so tasty. The burger was huge and so amazing. Wings & ranch were great! That bbq chicken flatbread was insane. So flavorful, huge portions and cut into little shareable square pieces with a ton of chicken on them. Regardless if you're looking for a date night, fun time with friends, or just a new activity to try - stop by - you won't regret it.

Axecade is so much fun! We threw axes for an hour and then enjoyed some of their video games and arcade games which are free. It was pretty empty when I went which was great, didn't have to wait to play anything. Besides the games, the place is decorated with trees and looks interesting. You can also get food and drinks at the bar. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in Galveston.

We did not have any food, as we had already had a late lunch, but they did have an offer on our table to scan for free wings next time we visit. We brought our nephew for his birthday, service was great, the guy showing us how to throw the ax was extremely helpful. My partner got a beer and noted that it was good. The ambiance was definitely eclectic. Bathrooms could use some cleaning. A little bar area, the ax throwing area, there was a side room maybe for events, the game room, and a DJ area. A balcony area. The floor had that fake grass on it which felt uneven in spots. Kind of weird. The ax throwing was a lot of fun, my 12 year old nephew spent the whole time throwing the ax. After they ax throwing teacher showed us several more techniques and offered a different ax we got it down pretty well! This was an enjoyable event. Will be back.

    Bday party!

This place is great if u want to have a large event. Or just to come with a small group. Lots of space for a party. Everyone who works there is awesome. Very knowledgeable and gave us a really good briefing on how to throw axes and how to play all of the games. I went there for one of my friends birthdays and at first I didn't even want to play because every time I've thrown an ax before but they were super heavy and I didn't realize they had different types of games on there that you can play, which makes it way more fun than just throwing an ax at a Wall. They actually have three different kinds of axes to fit everyone's needs. The staff was great at helping keep the bday surprise party a secret and gave us a heads up when the birthday boy arrived. They have options on if you want to be a spectator or actually play. You do have to pay five dollars as a spectator fee. Parking is easy, and you can bring our own food , beer, wine and soft drinks. Just no hard liquor.

We've been coming since day 1 but wanted to wait a bit before reviewing. This has been one of our kids favorite spots on the island. The second story has a huge outdoor patio, beer pong, bar, dance floor, and beer pong. The third floor has another bar with arcade games. Free refills on sodas and free video games (for now). Super friendly and helpful staff.

For starters, the entry is super fun. Upon walking through the doors, it's like you're taken back to a 40s-60s style bar. Older tropical music plays, and there are pinups/vintage hula girls as wallpaper in the bathroom. The bamboo walls and smoke show add to the vibes. Make sure you come slightly hungry. All drinks come with a snack. There are a ton of gluten-free options. I got their version of an old fashioned that came with crispy rice. (It was basically cream cheese rolled in rice and pan fried, then topped with sesame seeds - no breading was on mine.) If you sit at the bar, there's a spotlight on the drink being made. The bartenders will tell you what they're doing or which drink it is. They're also extremely helpful in helping you decide what you want. One of my friends is pregnant, and their mocktail selection was amazing. She had some purple drink, and it was incredible. We will definitely be back!

Well, well, well, Pineapple Parlor, aren't you a sight for sore eyes?…read morePineapple Parlor is a tiki speakeasy lounge offshoot off Daiquiri Time Out in historic downtown Galveston (former Red Light District, in fact). I mean what better place for a tiki bar than a beach town? The drinks menu is as extensive as DTO. They've got the tiki standards, Zombie and Painkiller as well as a slew of others. The Kumquat Tot is hands down my favorite. Kumquat, gin, mint, and a few other choice ingredients make this one of the most unique and refreshing cocktails I've ever had. Drinks are served in classic tiki glassware. I dig the vibe here real hard. It's rad. Decor is thatched walls, huts, voodoo, fire, and skulls. Mood lighting enhances the overall theme. The bartenders and servers are super cool. Visiting once just wasn't enough. In the words of The Terminator, "I'll Be Back".

They were all speedy and friendly, helpful when it came to selecting cocktails and food. Chocolate martinis are still delicious, as are the fruity frou-frou drinks - but not that strong. And each time I got bubbly or a mimosa, it was warm. I still drank it, but meh. Drinks are still more than you'd want to pay for a not-so-stiff drink, but what hotel bar isn't pricey? I spent probs more than $100 just on myself, so I rec just buying a bottle. You have to have a wristband to access the pool and get towel service; not sure how to get a band if you're not staying at the hotel. I guess you could always rent a cabana. Which are pretty pimp. Flat screen TV, couches, fresh fruit, bottled water and of course, poolside view and VIP service. Cabanas sell out fast, so book early (weeks ahead, not days) if you're gonna drop in on a weekend. The crowd here is an even mix of families, hotties and regular Joes, which I like. I did, however, notice a lot of hot moms with their kiddos. Great idea for those moms looking for a quick getaway that can entertain both adults and youngsters. Potties: Please use them. Don't go in the pool. As added persuasion, the restroom inside the main lobby has a tub of fragrant salt scrub that's complimentary. They also have foot showers, a mojito bar, wet bar, hot tub, kiddie slide with a grotto. There's a no-smoking rule here. I'm not a smoker, but I wanted to enjoy my Hight Cigar and feel all baller like. Ah well, I'll save it for another day.
