I would like to update my review to say that I had a really excellent experience at this store. I had tried on a few items that Christina suggested and added to the fitting room. All of her suggestions were excellent and I felt she had a really good eye for picking out things that goes with my style but also bringing me items that I didn't know would look good on me or like. She also encouraged me to try on some items and ignore what the size said and just see if it's comfortable, so that was helpful to know. I left thinking about one of the items that I didn't buy. I called the store and explained to Christina what I had tried on and and she remembered me! I also didn't know what size I tried on, and luckily she sorted that out. She said they sold the item I had wanted but she could get it for me and send it to me. As soon as I got off the phone, I already got a receipt and a few days later my package arrived! I wish this store was closer to me as I would love to visit more often. But I will just have to make a trip there again. Usually I am intimidated by a boutique environment but this was a personable and fun experience. The last two winter seasons I stumbled in to do some window shopping in the neighborhood and came out with great timeless pieces to add to my wardrobe. The staff is so helpful - I appreciate their honest input and recommendations! The price points range, so there is something for different budgets. Totally support and love this female led business that has been around for years! I see some reviews about unpleasant encounters with the owner, however when I met her while buying earnings I remember we stayed for an extra 30 minutes just to chat - she was so sweet and had cool stories to share about her experiences in the retail industry and living in the Bay Area! read more

They carry both well known labels, as well as obscure ones. I bought a stunning Nicole Miller black dress, & I discovered Chan Luu scarves. So you have the familiar, & you get to make new discoveries. The staff really know their stuff. Every spring I visit San Francisco and every spring I head straight to Paparazzi to buy my yearly supply of clothes that fit great, look great, feel great and are stylish. I drop a nice penny but it's worth it. I allow myself this one shopping spree and I have a few outfits that Christina has selected for me and I feel good about everything I buy. I now look down at what I'm wearing before I walk into the store and see that I'm wearing mostly paparazzi clothes. I will be wearing what I buy here for many years to come because they work for everyday, cocktail, business and travel. Worth every single dime I have ever spent here. I love this place. Got to say that this place is fabulous! Always stylish always chic and never disappointing inventory. It also helps greatly that people like Christina know you and can sense your style of fashion. She helps put outfits together and will not let you leave the store without having something that looks absolutely fabulous on you! I have frequented their store in Tiburon. I have purchased a closet full of clothing there. While I love their brands much more than their price tags, please be aware: I have had a few obvious issues with several items. Generally speaking, there is nothing they are willing to do for you once you walk out the door. There IS a 10-day return policy, but if the product is defective, they are reticent to support your issue. I had only one situation where they made good on a clearly defective piece of expensive clothing. As long as you know that once you bought it no matter what you own it, you will enjoy the store. read more

I really like this store, definitely one of the better stores to browse on Grant. Be ready to drop at least a couple hundreds as they carry the nicer items at higher prices but all good quality. Last but not least, buy it if you like it or live to regret it...as I have twice already, never again! They do a good job on the display and the store is always very clean and organized, never overly cramped. Small quantity and a good selection of a little of everything including accessories. I have been shopping at Paparazzi for years -- always a great experience. Christina offers a smile and help if needed, but there's never pressure to buy. I wander through on my walks around North Beach. Everyting expresses the buyer's excellect taste (even the Italian chandelier). I bought a beautiful brown leather bag from Italy that looks like Bottega Veneta at a fraction of the price; slacks in all colors; sweaters; tops; a fancy black coat and an inexpensive fun raincoat; gifts for friends - great jewelry and scarves. Nice store, wonderful selection of clothing, beautiful windows. I wish some of the things were less expensive, but that's just how it is with the brands that Paparazzi carries. The poster on 7/14 is absolutely correct. The owner of this store is snide, condescending, and rude, and there is no way I would ever patronize this place, although I live around the corner, if not for Christina, who is a doll. As it is I never browse or buy there unless she is there alone. Most of the clothes are overpriced ($500 for a white shirt? Are you kidding me?) but it's a good place for party and special occasion clothes in a pinch. read more

Oh, I love Paparazzi! And I actually think they have great customer service, although that might be b/c I ran in in a panic before opening on a Saturday morning looking for control top hose/Spanx to wear with a super slinky bridesmaid dress (ate a bit too much the night before...it happens). The woman behind the counter not only let me in before the store opened, but also entertained Sara with gossipy tidbits while I tried on all kinds of other random crap (hey, once you're already trying stuff on...). Anyway, we made it to the bridal meeting spot with plenty of time to spare, and I was safely tucked and gathered where I felt (paranoid) I needed to be tucked and gathered (although the Spanx came off halfway through the wedding, b/c man those things are tight)!! That's twice now I needed something for a night out and I came here at the last minute and the young woman fixed me right up. And I'm not the typical svelte 20 something that the store seems aimed at but I still got great clothes here. And at a decent price - "no regrets" price level. And really great attentive service. Sure there's a bit of attitude but they have the right to be proud of their selection which is pretty unique and what's best is that they know how to put it together for all types of bodies. read more

It was a bit out of my price range for everyday simple items, but got a cashmere wrap/cardigan for a very fair price, that I know I will wear a ton, and a unique pillow for a fair price. I have been a customer to all three Paparrazi stores for years. I have enjoyed the items I have purchased, but after being treated so disrespectfully by the owner the last time I went in, I shall never shop there again. What happened is that I tried to return an item ,(first time in over six years of shopping there and thousands of dollars later) but I unfortunately had removed the tag. The owner was completely inflexible at allowing me to swap the item for a different size. She humiliated me, in front of other customers, by walking around her shop and sniffing the garment, insinuating that I had worn it and actually said outloud that it "smelled"! I was horrified to be treated so rudely! Her tone changed dramatically, she became upset, raising her voice, and spoke in a very rude tone to me. (Contrary to when I pull out my credit card to purchase her high priced clothing!) She could have approached the matter in a whole different way, with respect. Bottom line, when you are willing to pull out the money to purchase something, they are extremely warm and flattering. But when you try to return an item, they are DOWNRIGHT RUDE, AND INSULTING. She needs to learn about customer service, and to be polite and respectful to clients. I have told all my friends to avoid this store. There are too many other proprieters in this area who deserve our business more and who have class, manners, and who know who to deal with thier clientelle. read more
