Paid for it and it was handed over after putting it in a bag for me! They did white sauce and red was ordered. I had to go back and get red. =/ Luckily, another worker was there and he was pretty cool and wished me a happy 4th and said thanks! I'm not sure what it is about this place that makes it smell SO GOOD, but it does! If you order when you get there, you get to watch your entire pizza be assembled and wrapped to take home and bake. With each pizza, they include paper instructions that explain how to bake the yummy pizza. We place our order online so that we can just walk in and walk out. They also accept EBT/SNAP for their pizzas! Awesome! You can also use this form of payment on the online order as well, but keep in mind you have to pay for it in person rather than online since it's with the EBT/SNAP. They also have other add-ons like cookie dough, anchovies, and more! The pizza once baked is so delicious. My favorite pizza from them is the Gourmet vegetarian. The sauce is light and flavorful. My friend did a favor for me this morning and I told her I'd buy lunch. We decided we'd get a pizza and bake it at my house. We walk in and there's one employee working on a pizza who said nothing to us. We didn't know what we wanted and by the time we did, another employee came out from the back. He just looked at us. We wanted a 'New Yorker' which we both knew wasn't going to be anything close because we are both from back East. We see that they now sell meatballs but they aren't on the topping list so we asked if they could do it anyway. He said no, so I asked how much the meatballs were thinking we could slice them up and put them on ourselves. He grumbled and groaned a few things and after trying to clarify 3 or 4 times with no luck we gave up on the meatball idea. So we placed our order for a pizza and a two liter and waited about forever for it to be ready. How does it take twice as long to put together an uncooked pizza than it does for every other pizza place in the world to make a one that's already baked?? We sit there waiting and watching these two employees. She looks completely miserable and he looks like he despises the world, himself, and most of all, pizza. I'm not even exaggerating. In my 50 years of living I have never experienced this level of unfriendly customer service as I did today. So, forever later he puts a pizza on the counter and he mumbles something at us, which we assume is because it's ours. We have to ask for the 2 liter because apparently he forgot. He looked at us as if he was shooting daggers out of his eyes and the girl gets it and hands it to us without saying a word or making eye contact. I really want to know the deal...is she miserable because she has to work with him? Or are they just a match made in heaven? What's the story behind this trainwreck of a team? The crust was basically a giant cracker. I mean, has anyone in their corporate office ever even had a pizza from New York? The Big New Yorker at the hut is closer to one. Never in a million years would I have believed it if you said there was a pizza even less like a NY style pizza than The Big New Yorker. Yet I stand corrected. What an insulting slap in the face for New York's pizza makers. In conclusion, I'd steer clear of the New Yorker pizza unless you really like crackers. Well i hate leaving this review because I've never had anything go wrong here except tonight. I called in an order at 2pm. My husband went in t9 pick it up at around 5pm. He said the order was under his name the guy told him there was no order under that name so he said it may be under my husbands name. The went to get the order. My husband looked at the tickets and the name in the order was something else. He told the guy it was wrong. The guy insisted it was. I get home from work and my husband is telling me all this. I call the store asked for a manager. I sp9ke to hunter. Told him all of this. He seemed numb to it all as if it was normal. I then asked who the person was that took my order he said it was Thomas. I then told hunter he needs to be coached and retrained in how to talk to customers. Hunter then laughed I told him it wasn't a laughing matter he said he agrees that he was laughing because they all know this about Thomas. That nothing gets done because he's buddies with the main manager. In my opinion thos 2 needs be fired. So unprofessional Thomas was. And for the gm to allow this and let it go is really unprofessional they both need to be fired. Hunter tried to make it right because Thomas got everything wrong. All you do is put NO meat. He was specific with the order. "Chicago style - vegetarian" have ordered before no problem. The worker wouldn't make it and said they've never made it before. He described the worker who made it before. She responds, "we don't have any workers here that wear glasses." Then a worker with glasses walks by to throw out the trash. WTF?! He just wants to order a pizza. After refusing to make the pizza and ask several questions about what he wanted, she finally gives in to make the pizza. She makes a Chicago style pizza - WITH MEAT, because "they come with meat." He wants and has been trying to order a vegetarian pizza. Why the hell would he want a NON-vegetarian pizza after this whole time?! This worker was being stupid, rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. What crawled up her hole of an ass and would want to die there? Finally another worker comes to helps and makes his pizza again with no problems. The worker apologizes about the shit the worker is giving him. Then he finds out the crazy lady was the MANAGER. All the ingredients are very fresh and it shows because, once baked at home, their pizzas are delicious! We have bought & tasted everything from vegetable supremes to their Hawaiian and their Cowboy pizzas to plain cheese and pepperoni pizzas. They'll even carry your pizzas to your car if you ask. My husband and I have been ordering from this store for years and usually have no issues. Tonight changed that. We ordered the same pizza we always do and this is the third time they have messed up the order. I even asked the girl that took my order to read it back to me and they still messed up. I called back pretty upset and spoke to the manager (Deja) and she had the worst customer service. As someone who works as a manager in customer service myself I know how to properly handle an upset customer. Usually the manager would ask what the issue is and try their best to fix it. Deja right away gave me attitude and at first kept avoiding giving me her name. Instead of trying to fix the issue she questioned my original order I'm sure to try to prove me wrong. She also kept cutting me off when I tried to speak. I hope the owner handles the situation more professionally because Deja definitely did not. Additionally I called three times before someone answered the phone. I completely understand they can be busy, however, a quick pick up and "thank you for calling can you please hold" would make a big difference. At this point the price of the pizza is not worth constantly getting the order incorrect and also being mistreated by management. On 07/10/2011 at approximately 1800 hours, I place an order with Papa Murphey's. On my most recent visit, I called ahead and was told it would be 45 minutes. Upon my arrival, I made contact with the male at the front counter. He had his visor cocked to the side and appeared somewhat sleepy. I gave him my name and he searched for my pizza. After looking for about a minute he stated "I guess I forgot to make it, it's been a long day". So I waited another 10 minutes for them to make a new pizza, which, after presenting to me, they had to unwrap and add the rest of the toppings I had requested. This is not the first time I've had problems with the staff here... I like the pizzas but I'll never go to this location again. Conclusion: Pizza, not bad. Staff, retraining is a must! read more

Better tasting toppings and crust than Dominos and Pizza Hut, but probably pretty close on par with Round Table and Popolos for the crust and toppings quality. The regular crust tastes better than the thin crunchy crust, but I read on the menu that the thin crust has 40% less calories. There was lots of real cheese on pizza and I liked the garlic white sauce a lot. The chicken pieces actually tasted good (Dominos and Pizza Hut chicken tastes kind of weird). Good seasoning on the pizza. I was kind of irritated that the price was confusing to know unless you're a rocket scientist or a psychic. The website doesn't give the pricing on the online menu because it is apparently determined by the local franchise location. I started becoming happy once I realized the card with the pizzas has the complete menu with pricing on the back of the card applicable toward this location, so it won't be quite so tough to figure out when I order next time over the phone (and then pickup). They said they would have the two pizzas ready in 15 minutes and they did. I got the Chicken Mediterranean thin crust pizza but I think you can ask for this pizza to be with regular crust, so I will do that next time and see how it is. But strangely the reason several came in later than me and received their pizzas several minutes earlier was that they called in their orders. Although we love there pizza and the staff was really nice and helpfull, I asked for extra bacon on my pizza and paid for it but when we got home there was much bacon on any of it. To recieve excellent service after a long day when all you want to do is get out of cooking and relax after an hour long drive home... Its a bonus worth yelping about.
