We enjoyed the pizza and appreciated their prompt delivery on a rainy night. The menu choices are many, but my wife enjoys their thin crust and I enjoy their Italian sausage. The garlic sauce makes it special. We ordered a large pizza with different toppings on each half. We appreciated their making the 2 halves equal without an overlap of ingredients. I normally go the Domino's route but figured i'd switch up today and give Papa John's a go. I placed an order online today at 12:52pm for my local store (#3871, E Laburnum). As of writing this review at 3:03pm my order hasn't arrived. I've called the store now 5 or so times after being hung up on or placed on infinite hold where no one comes back on the line. After finally getting someone on the line they were unable to confirm they canceled my order nor give me any type of confirmation code, name, etc. to fall back on when the charge still shows up. Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT order from this location. I should have checked reviews first and seen that this is the norm at this location. (Funny enough I ordered Domino's about 20mins ago and as I'm about to post this review I'm looking a delicious, hot pizza from DOMINOS). read more

Driver was rude! Food came and it had no dips. The Philly steak and cheese Papa dear I had no steak when it was supposed to have steak mushrooms and extra cheese. That too also didn't have a dip. Unfortunately, I prefer Papa Johns to other pizza chain options or I would absolutely never order from here again. One day I ordered at 1PM and at 2:25PM I had still not received the pizza. I called the store and they told me that they were about to text me because their phones can't call out to non-local numbers. She indicated that it would be at least another 30 minutes before she had a driver to take the order out. I cancelled the order. Almost two months later, I really wanted Papa Johns again. I ordered and the email receipt said 30-40 minutes. After an hour and 10 minutes, I called the store. They said my order was on the way to me. When I told the woman about the email receipt time she got very defensive about how if I had called they would have been quoting me 2-2.5 hours and said the email system does not update based on the actual estimated time. Which I know is either wrong or the store would have to manually change the time because I have gotten emails before with time ranges that are 55-65 minutes. This store is so slow to deliver and there is absolutely no way they have the same delivery volume as other stores in the area. I'm not going to give 4-stars to a chain restaurant, just because of my principles, but this place hasn't done me wrong for about a year and a half. I routinely visit my friends and godson, and we've gotten into the habit of ordering pizza, eating, putting the little one to bed, and then gaming (SC, high five)! While none of the group are die-hard pizza fans or have some overbearing loyalty to some pizza chain, our happy medium always ended up being papa john's (someone doesn't like the crust at ___, another doesn't like the toppings at ____). Wanting to relax with pizza and a movie on my boyfriend's birthday, we decided to order pizza from this location. We ordered a large pizza with a 2-Liter Pepsi. To no surprise, they forgot the Pepsi. To make matters worse, when we called them back to just process a refund, THEY DOUBLE CHARGED US. When we called back again about that they said it's protocol to run the card again and then the measley charge of $1.56 will be dropped in 3-5 business days! It makes absolutely no sense and youre screwed either way. Moral of the story: dont order a drink from them or you will either never get it or you'll be double charged just to get $1.56 back. I ordered two pizzas online for 24.00 and I used my debit card. The debit took my money but it did not register on their computer. When I went inside the manager informed me that it would take 3-5 business days to put the money back on the card. I was really hurt by this because my children had to eat and I didn't have any money. The manager came to the car and told me that she would give me a pizza and some breadsticks to feed my kids. That was truly a blessing after the toughest week in my life had occurred. My mother passed away and I had just left the funeral home so I was already hurting from this. This was the Most unprofessional pizza place I've ever seen. I ordered a large pizza for delivery. They young man delivered it and when I opened the box, I could clearly see he dropped the pizza. It was so disheveled and messy. I immediately picked up the phone and called the manager to complain. She asked did I want a refund or another pizza. Worst delivery service I've ever had with pizza.. took an hour and a half to get here.. forgot my soda. And didn't give me my extra banana peppers I ordered.. I called 2 times. The first "he left around 11:26 (30 minutes) than I called again around 11:45 and I got "there are only two drivers so it's going to take a bit".. pizza didn't even show up until about 12:30. and I called a 3rd to cancel and was on the phone with another pizza place. Was giving him my info when it FINALLY showed up mid conversation. No apologies, no explanation. Just awful service and the people who answer the phone are fucking rude. No customer care. And that is exactly why I support 8$ an hour. It's not a skilled job. It's for high schoolers. Minimal pay for minimal skills. Pizza was cold. And again no soda/banana peppers I ordered.. tomatoes on pizza were dry and ruined. I WILL NEVER order from them again. I would have rather had assantes or chinellos rather than this. I'm not a fan of Papa John's to begin with but Dominos unfortunately didn't service that area I was in. We ordered pizza and bread a little after 8pm online. We we're told that would be an hour for the pizza show up. We call at 9:15 and they say it's on its way... well 9:45 rolls around and it still hasn't been delivered. we call and get it told again it's on it's way. I ask if they send out 10 orders at a time and delivered cold pizza their customers. I also said that I was not going to pay for cold pizza especially when I ordered it awhile ago. It doesn't take that long to cook and drive two minutes down the road. She then handed the phone to her manager who didn't even announce she was the manager and she told me that my pizza was free in a very rude voice and then hung up on me. It was after 10:30 before we even saw pizza and it was cold... I would rather drive to Dominos and back with hot pizza than order delivery from a rude/slow company and eat cold pizza. If you have the option to have Dominos delivered to you please do yourself a favor and choose them over Papa Johns. read more

After first receiving an undercooked Pizza i spoke to a manager "TEE" and was credited the pizza on my account. I called today to cash in on that credit and reminded the cashier to have a well done pizza.. pizza arrived in about 25 mins to my house i tipped the driver and checked the pizza ..still not cooked throughly. I cooked the Pizza an additional 15 mins in my oven and thought it was fine. I gave some to my daughter and myself. My daughter hasn't ate anything all day other than this pizza.. about an hour after eating it she breaks out in hives and a few hours later i feel like i have food poisoning as i am consistently running to the bathroom. Safe to say i will never order here again and if someone did mess with our food .. karma will come back to them.
