You can tell they take pride in keeping the restaurant looking great, and that immediately gave me a good first impression. Next, the staff is genuinely happy, and that tells me they enjoy their workplace. Third, the food was outstanding. I had the classic chicken fingers meal, and because it was my first time, they offered me a variety of sauces to try. I love that they did that because it made me want to come back again. While everyone is here for the chicken, the fries are actually amazing. Now, I am not a big chicken fingers person, but I can definitely get used to having them more often because the atmosphere was so inviting. It is easy to see why this place has such a loyal following, and I completely understand the hype after my first visit. I am glad my hotel suggested it to me. I will definitely be back.

If you are rating a place based on what the sign says they do, then Chicken Salad Chick gets all…read morethe stars. And just so we're clear, their chicken salad, served in many different ways, is absolutely FANTASTIC. You have lots to choose from, with chicken salad being the star of any show. If you fancy a sandwich, then you have plenty of options, ranging from croissant to toast and more. If you'd like your lunch as a scoop of chicken salad or other with some crackers, fruit, and/or veggies, then you're in luck. I'd suggest the Chicken Salad BLT (I did mine with fruit & nuts), served on toasted wheat and sidled up to a veggie cup. The sides are what you'd expect: mac 'n cheese, pasta salad, slaw, etc. or maybe a bag of chips. All of that is accompanied by a sugar cookie, and cookies make pretty much everything better. The freshness is there with everything. It doesn't have a pre-made taste, the fruit & veggies are crisp, and the sweet tea is just right. Even the service is first-rate, with someone actually asking to bus our table (it's so not expected) and we even got an extra cookie for a finicky kiddo. It feels and tastes like home, from a clean dining room (and restrooms!) and the service to boot. Great spot!

I like Zaxby's…read more This isn't my first time here, but it was my first time trying this Fried Chicken Philly. After working all day, I was quite hungry, and decided to eat here after picking up and delivering an order from here. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and unlike other places in the area, they seem to enjoy what they're doing. They're always pleasant to deal with. That Fried Chicken Philly caught my eye on the menu when I was doing my pickup, so I knew that was what I wanted. I ordered and seated myself in one of the small two person booths in their well-lit, ultra clean seating area. I poured myself an Arnold Palmer, trying to gauge the perfect mixture of ice, lemonade and tea. I succeeded magnificently. It wasn't long before my food was ready, and I was digging into it. When I opened the container, the sandwich was bigger than what I expected it would be. Since my doctor put me on the Ozempic diet, my appetite has been less than half of what it used to be, so I was almost sure this was going to be divided between late lunch and dinner. But as soon as I bit into that thing, I knew there wouldn't be anything left for later. The peppers and onions were seasoned just right, and were grilled to perfection! The bun was also grilled to it was crisp without being dry, and the chicken was simply juicy, crisp, and quite tasty. I tried one of the fries, and it was also cooked and seasoned to perfection. I have to limit carbs, so I rarely eat more than a fry or two, but it was a good fry. I'll definitely come back here. Like I said, it wasn't my first time, and this definitely won't be the last. Of the Zaxby's locations in our area, this is definitely the best one. A perfect experience.

The staff were very friendly and cheerful - mostly teenagers working but all were chatty and willing to help. The menu is larger than I would expect. This presents a problem because it's difficult to choose what to eat -and- it means I'll have to go back to try something else. We both got vegetable plates so we could sample as many of the veggies/sides as possible. Everything was tasty and very nicely done. Some dishes were a little salty but nothing inedible. Highly recommended. We will definitely hit them up again when we are in the area.

By the time we arrived, a bit after 6:30 pm, the chicken and dumplings were sold out. While it took a bit of time before the food arrived, portions were quite generous, and the food was tasty. My husband said the potato salad and slaw were both on the sweet side, but he enjoyed them and the fried chicken. Service was very friendly. Payment is at the front counter, and there's a small surcharge for anything other than cash. After seeing reviews of this restaurant on Yelp and elsewhere, I thought it might be a good choice for us. We came all the way from California and were excited to visit because this has always been one of…read morethe restaurants we look forward to whenever we're in Alabama. The food is excellent, which makes this review even more disappointing to write. Unfortunately, the customer service has been consistently poor. During this visit, the staff seemed uninterested, lacked any sense of urgency, and there didn't appear to be any leadership on the floor. I'm not sure who the manager on duty was, but it didn't seem like anyone was holding the team accountable. The overall impression was that employees were simply there to get through their shift rather than provide a great customer experience. This wasn't an isolated incident. Last year, we waited in the drive-thru for over 20 minutes before deciding to come inside the restaurant. There was no acknowledgment of the delay or apology for the inconvenience, which made the experience even more frustrating. We gave the restaurant another chance this year because we remembered how much we loved the food. Sadly, this visit left us just as disappointed. Great food can only make up for so much when the service is consistently lacking. I genuinely hope management addresses these issues because this restaurant has so much potential. Based on our experiences, we're not sure we'll return the next time we're in Alabama.

It is heading and shoulders above competitors like Subway, Firehouse Subs and ithers and I think it bears mentioning that since I travel a lot for work, I appreciate the consistency from location to location. This can only be attributed to the excellent training they give to their franchisees. I placed an order for delivery through the app and it was delivered at the promised time. The location itself has the similar ambiance of other Jersey Mike's. I had their Big Kahuna cheesesteak and it was good. This is one of my go-to sandwiches. The other would be their Italian. I would definitely recommend this particular Jersey Mike's.

I'm getting older, it's an inescapable truth. As such, I find that I tend to crave roast beef more…read morethan I did when I was younger. Younger me would have gone with salami, sausage, or something with a little more kick, but older me likes a little less spice. So I'm always searching for a great cold sub in my area, and since we don't have Port of Subs, I have been experimenting with Jersey Mike's. I pick up food there quite often when I'm working, and the staff is friendly and fantastic to work with. They always have the order ready, and are always cheerful and in a good mood. The place is always clean, well lit, and quiet, even when it's busy. It always seems cozy and inviting when I come in. So recently, I made it a point to have lunch there, and gravitated toward the roast beef and provolone sub. I looked at the sizing chart, and decided that the giant size might be a bit much, and so I opted for the regular. Now, unlike other sandwich places who pre-portion their meats and cheeses, I absolutely adore that everything is freshly sliced specifically for your sandwich, and they seem particularly generous with the portions, which is definitely a bonus. A good sandwich should always be thick enough to be a challenge to consume, and Jersey Mike's doesn't disappoint in that manner. That being said, every single thing on my sandwich was absolutely fresh and full flavored, from the mayo, to the onions and tomatoes, both of which were crisp and delicious. The roast beef is hearty, and well balanced with a great taste, the bacon is crisp and not overly salty, the provolone also has a very good flavor and gives the sandwich that little extra something. I paired this sandwich with an Arnold Palmer, because I've become quite adept at mixing iced tea and lemonade. Turns out this complements roast beef quite well! I've had this for lunch a couple times now, and it's filling, tasty and worth every penny. There is a possibility that this will be my new go-to cold sandwich, and I'm sure I'll be having it again soon. I can't wait!!
