Great pizza, great service. I accidentally left my phone there and they found it very thankful

I'm giving them 2 stars since they were a bit better than Dominoes and actually acknowledged us when we came in. I get that they partnered with DoorDash and DoorDash itself runs on schedules and things like that but an order that was placed online should not have taken almost an hour to be ready. There were several DoorDash drivers that came through while we were waiting and got theirs before ours was even in the oven. Last time I checked orders should be handled in the time they were received. Not giving a service higher priority. Because what will keep customers "loyal"? This is most likely our last order through this chain. read more

I went into Papa John's in Kingman, AZ yesterday and was appalled at how the dough was being handled. I had to stand up and look to make sure I was seeing correctly. With the COVID-19 going on now it was not a good sight! The guy handling the dough was using bare hands to spread the dough and flipping it back and forth from hand to hand. Then he flipped a large round piece of dough over his left arm and walked around with it for a few seconds like that. Now I am looking at his right arm and thinking he has just as much hair on his right arm as his left and his skin cells that were getting on the pizza dough. There has to be a better way to do this. Charged me extra $4.10 when I changed to delivery plus another $4.99 for delivery and wouldn't give me a coupon or credit when I discovered the charge. Not sure what folks are talking about, my pizza showed up hot, perfect, and within 25 minutes. I was traveling through and stayed at the Travelodge, and there is a Pizza Hut next door and an ad for Dominoes on my room card. I Love Papa Johns. I've been coming here quite often for the last couple years, and every time has been a pretty positive experience. The only thing I can think of that could use improvement is the "well done-ness". I've noticed on a few occasions that when I order a well done pizza, it's not very well done, which isn't that big of a deal but requires me to stick it In my oven for another 15-20 minutes. I was craving pizza and thought Papa John's was the one. Wrong! The bacon that was suppose to be on the pizza was ham and it had so much grizzle in it we could not eat it. The pepperoni was scarce. On most pizza slices there was only one piece. I ordered an order of the chicken bites and they were also poor quality. Most pieces were full of grizzle and tasted like chicken parts instead of chicken breast. It will be a long, long time before I order Papa John's pizza again. I was traveling through Kingman and order from this Papa Johns. Very substandard! The Buffalo Chicken tenders were not edible and I came down with food poisining after eating the pizza. This location really suck at customer service. I am not the best at using apps. I accidentally ordered two pizzas trying to redeem a earned free pizza. They refused to honor free pizza unless I paid for mistake. I had called to verify that my free pizza went they in web order and nothing was said to me about the second pizza. I've been disappointed by them in the past so reluctantly ordered for delivery because I just didn't feel like going out, due to being handicapped. It sucks, but what can you do? Order for delivery of course. Ordered a Large with my favorites, Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni and black olives for me and a gluten free veggie with pinapple for my wife and was told 45 minutes. 25 minutes later our pizzas were here and boy oh boy were they good. That was a week ago. Ordered again last night, same order, Same results. This is so much better than the time before that something there has to have changed. Whatever they changed it was the right thing. The only thing I don't like is the garlic gunk they include that has a first ingredient of Soy oil. Nasty stuff. Not good for you either. Don't know why they include that but it is so we toss it. My wife likes the little peppers too. She gets mine. If it wasn't for that garlic stuff it would be 5 stars. I have come to the conclusion that no one from the companies involved read these reviews or they just don't care. I will continue my boycott of Papa Johns.....they don't deserve my business. I filed a complaint with the company the same day I wrote this review and it has never been acknowledged. So, it does go to show that they truly do not care about their customers. read more
