I live exactly 1 mile from papa John's. I paid for delivery merely out of convenience. The app send a notification saying it was on its way and 5 mins out. 10 mins later it said still on its way and 12 mins away. So I called the store and the rude manager got an attitude with me because I questioned it. She proceeded to be the most unprofessional "manager" I have ever spoke to. I placed my order online, and was given the estimated wait time to be approximately 2 hours. Luckily someone from the restaurant called me back and informed me of why the long wait. It was terrible that their driver was in an accident, and offered me to pick up my order and they would give me 50% off my order. Tried to order 3 pizza's to support my kids school on base. Delivery time was estimated at an 53 minutes, so at an hour we called and the worker told us it left almost 45 minutes prior. So we asked for a refund and the manager, Jessica, called the driver back. So now my kids didn't eat pizza, we didn't eat pizza, and we have no compensation. This place is awful. It smells bad, there's an employee with scabs all over their hands that doesn't wear gloves when they touch the dough, my orders are never correct. We waited 35 minutes for a medium cheese pizza today. Come on. I work in food service and I know kinks happen and can be smoothed out. We are always willing to give a place a chance to change our minds, but this is our last visit here until we see an announcement that it's under new management or something. Order was 100% accurate for the 1st time out of 5 total... however...their speed still needs some improvement. i ordered online and for the first time with delivery. i paid the additional near $2 for expedited delivery (according to website, ur order comes up in store, yours is first out before others) save your money...doesnt work. website gave a delivery time of 1hr after my online order was completed. despite the fact that i know it takes 15min to make and bake and 11min to drive from there to here (26min total) my order arrived 17 minutes past the time noted for delivery. when i called the store, the manager told me the driver left 15 minutes ago, still 10 minutes past delivery time. upon arrival...delivery took 27 minutes total....for an 11min "paid expedited" delivery. total time from order placement to delivery was 1hour20minutes for an order that should have taken about 30minutes tops. like i said...dont pay for expedited delivery...its unrealistic. price was good..food was good...bumped the review up by 1 star due to accurate order, good price and friendly delivery lady. still room for improvement though. read more

I placed an online order on the evening of 28 October 2014. When my pizza arrived, I was anxious to try the delicious and unique pizza that I have only been able to find at Papa John's. I have been a customer for over 13 years, and always make it a point to recommend Papa John's to all my friends and co-workers. So it was with great dismay that upon opening up the box, I discovered a badly burned crust, both top and bottom. Also, the pizza that I had paid to have extra sauce added to it was so dry that it border-lined on disgusting. Since I have been a customer for so long, I decided that I would just live with it. After all, Papa's is the best! Unfortunately, I found it inedible. And so I called the store to make it right. About 30 minutes later, the new pizza arrived. I was eager to see if the errors of the first were corrected. Unfortunately, it was not to be. Upon knocking on my door, the driver informed me that a delivery fee was due. This was highly upsetting to say the least. I explained to them that I did not have any cash on hand. I had just given all of the cash on hand that I had to my usual delivery person, who is a highly courteous and professional gentleman. He said that I had to contact the store for this to happen. So now I had to go make the call, and wait on them to answer the phone, while the driver stood outside with my food exposed to the cold air, without even a warming bag present. Upon getting in touch with the store, I said that "how could you charge me another delivery fee after messing up the original order". They replied with an "oops - they forgot to take it off". At this point, I mentioned that it was too much, and said that I would not be accepting the pizza, and sent it back. I also let them know that I was done, for good, with Papa John's Pizza.
