July 27 2023 I ordered a pizza the delivery driver obviously dropped the pizza and made no mention. When she handed it to me it felt awkwardly heavy on one side. I actually worked for PJ's in my younger years so didn't worry too much. Went ahead and tipped the driver. I opened the box and had to unfold the pizza. Just to get a photo (see attached). I called the manager and she offered a free pizza credit to compensate us but refused to accept any identification, order number or proof the pizza was messed up. I said ok. I tried calling the Decatur number it kept hanging up on me finally I get someone and it's a person from their 800 line that starts taking my info and then I get hung up on again. When I worked here there were constant roaches and we operated a few times without running water.

My partner and I were in the mood for a pizza. I called at 9:24, placed an order, paid for it and gave the person who took the order my address. She told me that my order would be delivered between 25-35 minutes. After an hour had passed, I called to find out where the pizza was. Nobody answered the phone. Terribly rude girl with black and fire engine red hair. Had a quality issue with my pizza and asked for it to be remade (I never do this btw). Instead of ever coming to the counter and talking to me, the rude girl remaking it spoke about me several times loudly enough for me to hear at the front. Totally disrespectful. I even responded a couple of times to some ugly things she said and she still continued to complain about to me to others and indirectly insult me. All over a pizza? Why? She was very unprofessional and made the other employees there visibly uncomfortable. I even recall hearing one ask her for help after she walked off the job for a while. In today's day and time, I wouldn't be surprised if she is even the shift lead- but it is clear to me that she has poor public communication skills and obvious socialization issues. read more

I understand the labor shortage issue but their customer service suc**. We ordered 2 pizzas on line for pickup. When I got there the pizzas were not ready. My fault I was early. However, when the first pizza was ready it was miss labeled and place in the delivery warmer. Then when the second pizza was done I continued to wait for 40 minutes until I asked repeatedly they finally figured out where the first pizza was. They refused to remake it and told me it was fine if I never came back. Well after 20 years of them being my favorite pizza I guess I will have to change. I'm done. My pizza experience was managed by Brandon. Fast, friendly and courteous customer service and received my pizza in 15 minutes as ordered. Excellent pizza! The thing I found refreshing as I stood in the store awaiting my order to be prepared was the customer service displayed by the employees. We are staying at the home2 suites hotel that's a few miles up the road from papa johns. We tried to do online ordering and it wouldn't go through so we called to order it in. We had to give the guy the address like 4 different times during the conversations. We said we would like the family special that they have online and the guy said they didn't have that so we asked what specials do you have and he responded with what was the address again so we give it again and asked for the specials and he said so you don't want to order anything. I attempted to order delivery from the Decatur, AL store. In the past, , delivery was limited to strange hours. It is an absurd policy and an inconvenience to Papa John's customers. Nevertheless, I am a huge Papa John's fan, so I deal with the inconvenience. However, I was told by both an employee and Jeremy, a manager, that my delivery order was refused, and they would come 4 blocks from my home, but no further. I'm sure customer service is important to Papa John's. In this area, however, you're moving in reverse. Kindly reconsider this, and work together with neighboring Hartselle location to ensure the delivery has no gaps. I look forward to hearing from you with a resolution to this. read more

I am so angry, mostly at myself for being foolish, but also really disgusted at the horrible pizzas from Papa John's Pizza in Decatur, AL. After a long day traveling, my friend and I had settled in at the local Comfort Inn. We decided we'd get food delivered. There weren't a lot of choices, so we went with Doordash. Also being unfamiliar with much in the area made the mistake of choosing Papa John's. THE ABSOLUTE WORST PIZZAS I have ever been served. I wasn't sure if we were eating crust or the cardboard. I ordered a pizza that had several toppings, but they were so skimpy that the pizza just looked flat. My friend ordered a more plain pizza and that was even flatter. We were so hungry we ate a bit and threw out the rest. To add insult to injury one pizza was $20.49 and one was $15.99... (totaling $36.48) wait for it. With all the fees, the total was $58.76.
