Went there today, July 5, 2025... They always want to toss your receipt in the trash before you get a chance to ASK FOR IT. You shouldn't have ASK FOR or BEG FOR a receipt... it should be HANDED TO YOU EVERY SINGLE TIME, at EVERY RESTAURANT, at EVERY STORE... no exceptions... But at this place, they don't want to give you the receipt.... FINALLY, today, I got my receipt.... and just as I suspected, THEY ARE ILLEGALLY OVERCHARGING ME every time I visit there... EVERY ITEM on my receipt had a higher price than what was listed on the menu board; this is fraud, this is illegal, this is a crime. This is not a mistake, this is intentional. Also, if you order at the counter and they don't give you the receipt, you can't accumulate points... Jack's is always talking about the points, etc... but you can't add them to your account if they won't give you a receipt. And who cares about getting points and discounts? Well, I do, especially when I'm being overcharged. Not only all of this... but the food is kind of nasty most of the time... Biscuit & Gravy.... EVERYTHING WAS COLD. How is that? They were busy and were pumping out orders? How does this crap have time to get cold??? Didn't the gravy used to have sausage in it? Not anymore, not one crumb. Not enough gravy to eat more than half the biscuit with some gravy, not even when going light with it... Maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the amount of gravy they were serving just a couple of months ago. The biscuits were crumbling to pieces -- couldn't even eat the sausage biscuit; the biscuit basically "shattered" after the second bite.... well, at least now I had sausage for the gravy... well, what little gravy there was.... correction, now I had a little gravy on the sausage, there was so little. Two people in line got coffee with their breakfast and the cashier was handing them empty cups --- never seen a Jack's with coffee out there for the customer to pour themselves.... so all of these people had to wait in line again to get their coffee cups filled. I don't drink coffee and they didn't even ask what I wanted with my combo (that comes with coffee, according to the menu board -- the menu board that intentionally lists a false price). I was given a smaller cup than they usually give out... doesn't matter... both the unsweet tea and the sweet tea tasted like the tea bags were ripped open and all of those grounds were in the beverages. And the soft drinks aren't mixed right; they are NASTY & UNDRINKABLE... The Coca-Cola came out almost clear... nothing they had was drinkable... I ate less than half of my crumbling, cold meal that they overcharged me for and left since I had nothing to drink with it. read more

If I could give O stars I would. It's 1:30 in the afternoon. There must be 12 cars in the drive-through. Going inside there's at least six people in line and after waiting 22 minutes just to get to the register, which, after five or six minutes became a quest. I finally was able to place my order. There were enough workers in the back, but the problem with this place is zero training zero management. If I was the owner, I would fire the manager on the spot. There are simply too many other places to go. Do not waste you time or money here. Al I got the big BLT. Toast was burned. Fries are cold. This place really sucks. read more

Me and my mom went in through the drive thru and got some chicken tenders and asked for sauces and we left and checked and there was no sauce! Not only that but the service the drive thru lady had her tone was terrible sounded sarcastic and very snobby and after finding out we had no sauce I went inside and it took them forever to come to me they were both on the phone girl in the drive thru and girl in the front they looked at me and went right back to their conversation they had bad customer service! But overall the food was good just please teach y'all's members respect and customer service. read more

So me and my granddaughter were in the drive thru,and we ordered a cookies and cream milkshake so,We got to the window and we got her milkshake all of the sudden POP! the lid popped off the cup and it bursted and it was so messy but the person at the window was very sorry about what just happened and she offered her a medium shake and she was so sweet but please make sure that you're lid is on all the way before you give it to your kid. read more

Jack's is a Hamburger franchise found in north and central Alabama and scattered just a bit into southern Tennessee, western Georgia, and eastern Mississippi. So definitely a Southern staple. This is an excellent place to go for Food Poisoning. Went here on a Tuesday April 30 around 130 pm. Ordered a Bigger Jack and Fries . Burger was awful but had to hurry up and get to work. 3 hrs later I'm sicker than a dog! Had to leave work early i was so sick. Jack's used to have great food but not so much anymore. Most of the people act like they just dont care anymore.This has definitely turned me off from Jack's. I'll never eat there again. read more

I only gave it 1 star to just give my review. I didn't think anyone could mess up a patty melt but they did. They're supposed to toast the sourdough bread, they didn't!! All ingredients were just placed only in the center of sandwich. Grease from burgers had soaked through the bread. Fries weren't even close to being done. This Jack's on 6th Ave. Decatur, Al.. I orders single gravy biscuit and get a container that is separated into 3 compartments instead of a full, single compartment plate that it comes in every other time from every other store. The biscuit fills the bigger compartment and had gravy drizzled over it. There wasn't even extra gravy in the other compartments. I will never go back to this store. I really like the new building they acquired after the fire. They have a much larger parking lot and nicer restaurant overall. The staff seems to be really nice. They are in the morning for sure. I really like their biscuits. The person who makes them on the weekends, Saturday, does them best! They are a little more buttery crispy on the outside like I love them! The weekday ones are ok, but not as done as I like them. Though, any of Jack's biscuits are better than the dried up ones at Burger King or the flavorless ones of McDonalds. I like the steak biscuits and the bacon cheese biscuits. The bacon is smoked, you can taste it. My family loves the sausage gravy biscuits. Which are good, too. The hashbrowns are average small round things. Not my favorite kind, but not bad. Their french fries are crinkle cut and have a popcorn salt on them. I don't like that pop corn salt, the orange kind, but it tastes good with mayonaise, believe it or not. Otherwise, I like that they give you a good amount. They don't skimp like McDonalds and Wendy's often do. Their burgers are alright. Not the best, but better than McDonalds. Their chicken sandwiches are good. The chicken strips are hand breaded, but the one time I had them there was something I didn't like about them...I just couldn't put my finger on it. They used to offer a polynesian sauce that had pineapple in it. That stuff was the bomb! I remember it from Dairy Queen or somewhere I ate at as a child. I Loved that stuff. No more. They don't offer it anymore. The milkshakes are pretty good as is their sweet tea and their coffee. They do offer hand dipped ice cream as well. Slow as molasses in December but the double cheeseburger was good. Ask for light condiments or it will be slathered in mustard and ketchup. I ran into Jacks on 5/7/17 after church. First I had to go to the restroom. After I did what I had to do in the restroom, I found out THERE WAS NO TOLIET PAPER. Ive had 2 strokes so I really needed the toilet paper. I cleaned myself up as best as I could. Then I went & explained to the manager Amber the situtation. She contiued what she was doing NOT OFFERING ANY HELP. I waited about 5 min . Then I approched her again STILL NO REACTION FROM HER. REMIND YOU I NEEDED TOILET PAPER TO CLEAN MYSELF UP.ALL SHE SAID WHEN I TOLD HER I WOULD BE CALLING THE MAIN OFFICE WAS HAVE A NICE DAY. I went straight home &called the main office & made a complaint . I didnt hear back so on 5/14/17 I called the office again.A district manager by the name of Josh called me on 5/25/17 we talked for 5;03 min ( ALL HE COULD SAY IS ILL TALK TO HER TODAY) BUT HE NEVER APOLGIZED ABOUT MY HUMMILATION!!!! SO I CALLED THE CEO (Tom Barkman) On the 5/25 & 5/30 left a message both times about the situation ,I even told him & Josh that I would be calling the Health Dept. as of 6/16/17 I STILL HAVENT HEARD A WORD FROM JACKS OR ANY OF THERE EMPLOYEES!!! read more
