Service was excellent. We were greeted by cheerful employees and seated promptly. The server was…read moregreat, though I have one complaint I will list below. Our first stop was the bathroom. There was a large dead roach just outside the women's bathroom. The inside of the restaurant felt very dirty/sticky. I asked the waitress if their water was filtered and she quickly answered "yes"... it was NOT filtered water, as you could taste it. The kids didn't eat their waffles because they said they tasted like a funnel cake. The omelette was as expected for a Denny's omelette. I ordered the salmon with double broccoli because the menu showed "Alaska Salmon" and said it was wild caught and natural, etc... it did not taste like so. The salmon was very light pink (which to me says it's NOT wild). The menu gave me the impression it was Wild Alaskan Salmon company, so I ordered it, because it was advertised as so. I do not think it was from the company I thought it was. It has a very watered down taste, like it was in a water bath before being sealed and frozen. The broccoli was also obviously frozen broccoli, which is fine if that's how this company operates. I'm always disappointed when visiting Denny's and this time was Jo different. The food is always subpar and the restaurant inside needs some real TLC. This is at almost any and all locations I know. This time was no different. Next time my family suggests this place, I will decline.

Food 10 stars Service 10 stars…read moreAmbiance 10 stars Best burgers in town. The gas station vibe only adds, not detracts from this divine repast. I love everything about this place from milling about the ample convenience store while my burger is being prepped to the so small that it's only vaguely perceived by the subconscious dining area. The whole experience feels like a whirlwind secret romance love affair-- a naughty tryst in the night that keeps you going back again and again. So wrong, but oh-so completely right. You get to the counter and scribble out your order on some ready-made sheets. Extra pickles, extra genius sauce. Shhh-- no words needed here. Tip these guys well, they do an incredible job. Most dining establishments the wait for your food can be a little boring, but here you get to browse a nice selection of drink choices and goodies while you wait for your burger. It's all part of the fun. The food is extra hot and fresh and stays that way until you get home. Burger still juicy, cheese still completely melty, what's left of the fries from the drive home still crisp. Not sure what they put in that Genius sauce, but it deserves some kind of award. Is it a burger place? Yes. But it's also an example of how sometimes life brings together ordinary elements that align in a spectacular way. A sensory wonderland to be experienced in moderation. Maybe not always inherently good for you, but good for the soul. Xpress Burgers is for people who love life.
