Growing up in the Brookings community (the late 90s/2000s), we would often frequent this little family owned and operated bowling alley cafe. We've seen how dirty the kitchen has become, the off-putting odor of the establishment, and behind the bar was just as awful. All issues were a huge deterrent for us ever returning. During this particular visit, the man that made the food wasn't washing his hands at all before preparing pizzas or other food items. His hands and arms would be in slight contact with his clothing while preparing food items. Now days, there are gloves that are not latex or powdered, but he didn't wear any at all. Maybe, they're to cheap to purchase any?! Maybe, they don't know they even exist?! I would think that protecting customers from the germs on your hands would be a priority especially if you don't wash them!
